"And you're not going to be with Elena either," she replied easily. "I don't lose, Damon. I always get what I want. It might take me a little while but that's what back up plans are for. And the back-up to the back-up. And the back-up to the...well..you get the point." She'd planned for the three of them to be together but if it meant keeping Elena out of her hair, she supposed she could sacrifice Damon to the greater good.
"Why are you doing this?" Elena questioned, staring at the vampire with bafflement in her eyes.
"Because I want the moonstone back. It's very simple. Hand it over and this whole night can end happily. Otherwise, I have no issue tearing my throat open. I'll heal. Elena won't. Call Jeremy or Caroline or whatever other little minions you have running around. Five minutes. Or else."
