PLAYER INFORMATION NAME: Shiver. EMAIL: my.depravation@gmail.com AIM: fuiiyaiive CDJ: n/a TIME ZONE: MST CHARACTER PB: Brittany Murphy. CHARACTER JOURNAL: _drharleen CHARACTER INFORMATION NAME: Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel. CODENAME: Harley Quinn. AGE/DATE OF BIRTH: 27 ; May 22, 1985. OCCUPATION: Psychiatrist / Resident Doctor at Arkham Asylum. APPEARANCE: 5'3" 115lbs - Harleen has medium length, dirty blonde hair that is normally curly however it is straightened when she finds the time or the desire to do so. She has deeper brown eyes that always appear very thoughtful and concentrated. At the moment her ears are pierced only once and so is her belly button. She has no tattoos to distinguish her. Her attire is normally always business oriented with suits, pencil skirts, and button ups. Of course she seems to always do it in a provocative way, with different colored tights, her shirts unbuttoned to a certain point, or pumps she enjoys so much. She is slim and taut, taking great care of her appearance with regular physical activity through gymnastics. PERSONALITY: Harleen has the natural need and desire for people to like her and for her to be popular. No mater what field she is or what environment it is all the girl ever really wanted. With two parents who had the same desire and both having very little time for her when she was a child it only compels her more. With that being said this natural desire to be liked goes into further depths. She will do anything and everything she can for that person (or people) of her choosing to adore her. She has no qualms with humiliating and other wise destroying the lives of other people just for the thrill of it. Being popular for so long has only made her more paranoid to push for that need. Miss Quinzel is calculated, even if seeming only fun loving and erratic on the outside. She is a strong communicator and knows how to use and manipulate people to getting to the top. She has no issue with her sexuality and will use it for her own needs if she thinks it will achieve what she desires. Of course, her weakness is as much as her strength. She knows how to manipulate people but she has never had anyone that really has known her for who she really is. Inside she is a mess; a breakdown waiting to happen. Her falseness has swallowed her whole and inside she is just as empty as the other people she destroys. Beyond that she has a penchant for trouble. She lives on the wild side, loves to party, and enjoys laughter and fun. Her time spent in cheer leading and sororities has fueled that fire for fun and danger. She was never into drugs, but loves the high other adventures can give - skydiving, cliff jumping, or even climbing to the top of a building to watch the city. She enjoys Gotham for what it is - something corrupted but still beating. Something to take for her own. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Harleen is extremely smart. As a child she was 'gifted', excelling in anything that she put her mind to. With this exceptional intelligence she moved in to the field of psychology and is one of leading psychologists at Arkham Asylum. On the other side of the coin she is also a skilled gymnast. She was on the gymnastics team as a child and continued the rigid workout regimen even as an adult. This gives her great stamina, strength, and agility for a woman her size. HISTORY: Harleen was an only child to an adoring, if not overbearing, upper class family. Her father was an attorney and her mother was a housewife, always determined to be on the cusp of what's hot. The phrase 'keeping up with the Jones' had nothing on the Quinzels. So Harleen was given anything her pretty little head wanted while she was growing up. It just so happened that the thing she always wanted was popularity, at least to begin with. She excelled in school at Gotham Heights no matter how she had to do it. Cheating, lying, or even genuinely trying. From there it was being the prettiest, always worried about how she looked. That was how she happened into gymnastics. Gymnastics was actually something that she was exceptionally good at, without even trying. She loved the thrill of the game and even more so she loved to be watched and adored, even envied by others. From there sprung the idea of cheerleading. She had the looks, the money, and the personality followed suit. She was a peppy girl by nature but the competitive nature of it gave her something else to love. She quickly became the captain of the squad and, at least in her opinion, was the most popular girl in school. No one got in the way of Harley and that is how she wanted it. This being said her physical prowess with gymnastics granted her admission to the world renowned Gotham University with a full scholarship. Of course that wasn't enough for Harley-girl. Hungry for fame, respect, and fortune she desired a degree from the prestigious Psychology Department. Of course, college was fun and Harley, if nothing else, loved fun. She joined a sorority and followed suit with her college cheerleading as well. With her natural ease, good looks, and physical stature she quickly became just as popular in college as she had in high school. On top of that she had eight years of schooling to go through between her bachelors and masters degree. Of course she became a little more involved with the extracurricular activities and a little less involved with her other studies that she ended up flunking her final thesis. However her intelligence didn't just lie with books, with her popularity came the ease to understanding how to manipulate people. She was no angel so seducing her professor wasn't beneath her in the least. In fact out of the class, afterwards, she had the highest grade for her final thesis. A few words (among other things) from the head of a sorority and the cheer leading captain can apparently make any man change their mind. That high mark finished off her college years in a blazing glory as she was off to succeed in the next venture - taking on Arkham Asylum. Her father had been a lawyer to many men who were put into the system, even freeing some of the more corrupt so why should she not be on the inside making a name for herself too? She had achieved her goal, but of course nothing was ever as it seemed. Harleen may have been brilliant, but she soon realized that getting herself in may mean that she might not ever get out. She was overworked, underpaid, and couldn't even get to the good stuff yet. Of course that personality and her looks always helped wherever she went. She didn't have to do a lot of the grunt work that the other interns did and on a fairly regular basis she got to interact with the patients. Though what she wanted, what she craved, was those darker inmates hidden in the depths of the Asylum. That day was getting closer. MISC. INFO.: harleenquinzel@arkham.org / e-mail Harleen Quinzel @ harleygirl / twitter h_quinzel / AIM PLOT IDEAS: First, I would love to see when Harley starts slipping further into the darkness. Right now it could just take one strong influenece for her to fall into the depths of madness. Which, naturally, is fun. Second, I would love to see her meet some of the people that changed her life - Joker, Ivy, other gal pal villains too. Someone to really see her for who she is or even pretend to do so. When her mind starts working no one knows where she will end up. Third, maybe interaction from other people at the asylum as in works, police force, etc. Get her a little too close to the good guys and maybe end up getting her in trouble. Fourth, perhaps the loss of her family through some sort of accident or incident that makes her turn into the 'dark side' as well? The possibilities are open and endless. :] WRITING SAMPLE: They were onto her. It was inevitable that Harleen's past would catch up with her. No matter how many times she moved, how low of profile she tried to keep, or any other measures she tried to take to escape her identity they always found her. Always. Truth be told this time she was cutting it a little close. The door knob was being jiggled at that moment, fists pounding against the door as men in suits ordered Wonder to surrender. All things precious to the woman was being swept up at a super speed and being ditched into two suitcases. There wasn't enough time to take it all. This was going to be close. Just as the second suitcase was snapped shut the door was finally shoved in and Miss Quinzel paused to take in the site of the two men carrying some serious artillery. Of course with their past experiences she fully understood how high of caliber the ammunition was and exactly what their intention was going to be. Smiling prettily at the pair, whom seemed dumbstruck that they were actually in her path once more, she raised one hand deftly to extend only one finger in a defiant manner. "You know the drill boys. Catch me if you can." Within a blink of an eye, almost a full five seconds before the weapons began to fire the woman zipped past them, exiting out the fire escape and flying down the metal stairs like the Flash. However The Flash had nothing on her. Gunshots rang out above her as she quickly looked up to see the two men peaking out the window above the fire escape with a look of dread on their face, before they began to fire into the street. What carelessness. However much she wanted to help these people they would be in far worse trouble if she would ever get caught. Lord knows what form of evil she would be turned into then. Walking briskly she took huge strides maneuvering through the crowd before finally rounding a near dead corner to take a breather. Setting her bags down for a moment she leaned against the brick wall heaving a few breaths, not for lack of energy, but for the knowledge of how close she had really had come this time. Just as she was relaxing for that moment something caught her attention, just out of the corner of her eye. It seemed someone else was running from something today. Apparently the coppers had scared him too. Of course, then she peaked back around the corner to see two men in suits shoving their way through the crowd towards her current location. Why not take a chance, hrm? Before she knew it Harley darted through the crowd and into the back seat of the car that the man who had been causing a scene jumped in. "Ah thanks for budging over pally. I really need to get somewhere fast so can we make this easy and just push down on the gas?" Eyebrows raised as a smile crept across her lips, though the urgency seemed to play out in her voice as she peeked through the window towards the crowd and then back to her expectant cab company. VILLAIN SPECIFIC MODUS OPERANDI AND TOOLS: At this point, Harley is more of a villain in training, but one nonetheless. She likes to mix a lot of chaos with her overly structured life. She doesn't have a plan for anything at the moment, and never really does. She is a 'go with the flow' kind of girl but when she really puts her mind to something she can get it done - anyway possible. She does bore easily so she isn't the lay in wait kind of girl. Harleen is a fun loving, a little crazy at times, and over the top in every good way that is possible. FIXATIONS AND/OR GOALS: She wants what everyone wants. Fame! To be liked! No, scratch that, LOVED. To be adored and needed by the masses. Of course if she had someone to work with then her motives could completely changed. If someone liked her then she can and would be a willing pawn in their game. That is her largest downfall. With wanting so much adoration and dedication she can push herself too far and maybe even over the edge. She could get herself so deep to be the fall girl and not even know it. RESIDENCE AND LAIRS(S): Harleen lives downtown, in a larger upscale apartment building (on Cherry and Hemming on the upper east side) that overlooks the water towards midtown. It suits her needs and she swings the payments with the salary she makes from the asylum. It was her first purchase made without her parents funding. She has no lair at this point as she more neutral currently. BOBBY TRAPS/WEAPONS/VEHICLES PREFERRED: Giant Mallet please! Pop Guns? Twin Hyenas! Alas, she has no weapons currently. She does own mace and a baseball bat for her own comfort, but that's just a side note. As for a vehicle her transportation is a motorcycle. No, not a Harley. (How cliche.) She has a 2004 Suzuki Hayabusa in the colors of red and black. It was a gift of a past boyfriend. Of course by gift, it means she stole it for kicks. |
