Personality: Mitch is a metro-sexual man. Meaning, she's a girly-girl when it comes to looking good, but very much a Tomboy when it comes to everything else. She is out going and friendly, but won't hesitate to give a knuckle sandwich to someone who ticks her off. Being the daughter of two diplomats has also given her a calm edge to certain situations, and an eye for trickery and bullshit. She has a way of commanding attention from a room when her words need to be heard, and she can be very elegant and sophisticated when the time calls for it. Currently, she' s a bit broody because her girlfriend just walked out of her life, and as a new vamp, her emotions are all torrent. Speaks French, Arabic, Egyptian Arabic, Spanish, and can decipher hieroglyphics. Plays the piano and guitar, as well as sings. And she doesn't suck at fighting either. Personal Strengths: Her outgoing nature makes her un-threatening to outsiders and honesty is her best policy, even if it means she's brutally honest. She also has an artistic eye, high tolerance for pain, and a good bullshit detector. Personal Weaknesses: She cannot turn down dares to save her life. Also, her honesty can get her into trouble when she says things that others don't want to hear. Beautiful women, and someone with a horrible hair cut, she's got to fix it. History: On a cool winter evening in Cairo, Egypt, Jamal and Evelyn Ibanez welcomed their first child into the world. Michelle Hathor Ibanez was a very beautiful baby that would grow up to be a very beautiful woman, the result of a black Spaniard father and an Egyptian mother. Her mother at the time was the Egyptian Ambassador to France while her father worked as a U.S. government liaison. Her father was a witch, and taught young Michelle a few spells. Once the family moved back to the U.S. when Michelle was 6, they lived in a relatively average home and sent their daughter to public school rather than private school. They wanted their daughter to appreciate life for what it is, not for what she could get with a credit card, and her parents' important names. So Michelle grew up humbly, but not without the struggles of a typical new student trying to fit in with the status quo of public school. Michelle was often made fun of for her family's heritage and background. But Michelle kept herself calm through all the harassment. She found boys easier to be around than girls. If a boy didn't like another boy, he simple hit him then kept on with life. If a girl didn't like another girl, she would smile at her while she was around, but talk trash behind her back. So Michelle adopted the boys' take on things. That's when her parents started getting notes home about fighting. Michelle would simply hit a girl if she knew she was being mean. It never turned into an all out fight because the other girl would start crying like a baby and run away. Her family gave her a stern talking to about right and wrong, and Michelle toned down the "fighting" but she was quickly becoming legend among the guys. They started calling her Mitch instead of Michelle, and giving her dares to do in order to be in their clubs. That's how Mitch learned her best trait ever. One day when Mitch was 13, a boy in her class dared her to cut her long pretty hair. He called her names and teased her until Mitch finally picked up a pair of scissors, and snip.. snip snip But the armature cutting didn't turn out disastrous at all. Mitch was able to keep a steady line and cut her hair even along her shoulder line. From then on, Mitch put effort into make-up, hair, nails, even body art. Once in high school, she had her own "business" and "clients" that wanted their make-up, nails, and hair done by Mitch. She also started a fascination with tattoos. Without her parents knowing, she got her first tattoo at the age of 16, a dove on her lower back, a drawing she made herself. She started hanging out at the tattoo parlor after school on Fridays, and the artists would give her a one on one lesson in tattooing. By the time Mitch was ready to graduate high school, she had a full ride scholarship to Milan Institute of Cosmetology in Amarillo, Texas. She continued her tattooing at a local parlor and the income helped pay for her living expenses. Her parents also wanted Mitch to study political science and would demand her to be home every other weekend so they could work with her on politics, governments, negotiations, how meetings ran, other culture's ways of politeness. She went to these lessons, begrudgingly because they were keeping her out of the lottery through money and the promise that she'd one day be an important political figure as well. Her parents also were letting her continue with her passion, so she had both worlds. Mitch graduated with honors from the cosmetology school, as well as received her degree and political since from the local college in Amarillo. It took her a bit longer than most, 5 years, but she had worked her butt off and graduated magnum cum laude. She was allowed to set up her own hair styling shop in her home town so long as she made it an effort to attend certain political meetings in Washington D.C. with her father. in her twenties, her shop was pretty self running, and although she didn't want to leave it, she made the transition from hairstylist to political leader. She still owned the beauty parlor, but she wasn't able to work there except during holidays. Most of her time was in D.C. attending meetings, looking over documents, Skype meetings with Spain, Egypt, France, and even the middle east, things of that nature. On the morning of September 11, 2001, Mitch was receiving a tour of the Pentagon when a plane crashed into the side of the building, leaving Mitch and her tour guide trapped in rubble and darkness. As far as she knew, she wasn't injured. There part of the building hadn't be directly hit, but they were close enough to the point of impact that the ceiling collapsed and the wall was busted open. She waited there with her tour guide while rescue crews began moving the ruble to free them and a few others. But they shifted something out of the way, and piece of the unclasped ceiling came down had pinned Mitch's body between some cinder blocks of the busted out wall. Her leg was broken and she couldn't take very deep breaths without sharp, shocking pains throughout her chest. Rescuers were able to get to her, and transported her to the hospital. Her parents arrived in time to be told that she would have to go through extensive surgery for her punctured lungs and broken rib cage, but it was risky with her internal bleeding. Her father resorted to speaking with a dear friend of his, a vampire, and he pleaded with the fellow political figure to turn Mitch so she wouldn't have to go through all of that surgery just to have it not work and she die anyways. He agreed, and that night, Mitch was turned. She spent the next 10 years with her sire, learning things about herself, coping with this new way of living, and dealing with the fact that she no longer had "normal" life. Not that her life had been all that normal compared to most, but she wasn't a vampire who suddenly wanted to eat her parents the first time she saw them after she turned. Her parents bought her a daylight necklace, and when her sire said she was ready, he allowed her to go out on her own and start over. Mitch didn't want to go back to politics. She didn't want to be around large crowds of highly important people and end up doing something stupid, like killing the speaker of the house. So she looked around for smaller places to live, and stumbled across Hiddekel Island. She settled into a decent flat in Jannati City, the town still being smaller than the typical U.S. cities, and there seemed to be a good group of supers there whom she could get to know and hopefully learn from. Facts: Mitch had a girlfriend for the past 3 years, but the woman broke up with her. Mitch is not a happy camper right now because of it. Mitch owns an Egyptian Mau cat named Hina, a German Sheppard named Anubis, and a Red Milk Snack named Dagr. Hina is the Hawaiian goddess of the Moon, Anubis is the Egyptian god of the afterlife, and Dagr is the Norse god of the daytime. out of character.
