History: Arthur and Marcia Winchester were a typical wolf couple. They seemed perfectly happy, perfectly affluent with a "white picket fence", steady jobs, and 2.5 children all settled in Los Angeles, California. The point-5 being the family dog, Stegman. They weren't particularly high up in the hierarchy of wolves but that was mostly because Arthur had no desire to rise in the ranks any higher than he had. He was satisfied and so was Marcia. Their first daughter was Lily being followed four years later by Paige. She was a fairly average child shifter child, with a keen ear for music. She was five when she picked up her first violin and started to study.
She wasn’t particularly good in school and the fact that she didn't have to study to be in music classes didn't help. She was perfectly happy being average. It was just difficult to be around normal children. She wasn't allowed to play the sports that she wanted (swimming and track) because her wolf would give her an advantage over the humans and that wouldn't be fair. In the last year of middle school, her father came out as gay, introducing them to Michael and her parents amicably divorced. Lily went with their mother and Paige went with her father though they shared custody of both.
It wasn’t a matter of choosing a favorite parent really. The girls decided among themselves where they would better fit. Lily thought of herself as Marcia’s caretaker and guide whereas Paige needed Arthur’s support, a steady hand and the watchful eye of two parents... Michael quickly became more like a brother to her than a second father as he was definitely attempting to be the fun parent. As such, Paige was rarely in trouble even if she should have been. They both encouraged her through high school and she began a trek that would take her working through a few different musical paths.
Those paths would have started her towards college if she hadn't had average grades and no extra curricular activities. It became a matter of getting enough money to buy her way in so she could study music. Her parents, all three of them, pooled their money together with the help of the pack Alpha. She studied musical composition and continued with the violin. Her perfect pitch (wolf hearing) proved to be quite the boon which earned her a number of university accolades. It was money well spent.
She began working with different orchestras after graduation, traveling from city to city as her slow aging became more apparent, forcing her to never stick with one organization for too long and use a few different aliases. And she never left California, not really, and never took up with another pack outside of the Los Angeles group she had been with. It just had never felt right when she was in the same state. But it was time to branch out on her own.
Although her family was disappointed when she made it known that she was leaving the confines of California for Las Vegas for a job opportunity, and for new faces that wouldn't know hers. She arrived only a week ago, setting up in a small but nice apartment to live modestly. Paige hasn't even had a chance to entirely unpack before having work take over her life entirely.
Goals: Find a pack, make herself a new family, generally provide balance to any little grumpy gusses out there.
