Invisibility: This form of invisibility is a perception-based anomaly rather than traditional light-bending cloaking. It means that Nate exists physically in the world, but his presence is unable to be perceived unless direct eye contact is made. Nate has no control over this ability and it is extremely strong. Very, very few mutants have the ability to see him always. He is still able to be interacted with physically, though. He can still be hard, touched, or even bumped into, but the brain of the affected person will often rationalize these interactions as something else, being they can't see him. When Nate interacts with objects around him, people will notice that something is off but it won't immediately lead to direct eye contact.SPECIAL SKILLS
Memory Manipulation: On top of his inability to be seen normally, once the eye contact is broken, his secondary kicks in - memory erasure, essentially. The instant their gaze shifts away, their mind automatically "forgets" Nate's presence. They won't recall seeing him or interacting with him unless something unnatural forces them to (like recording devices, written notes, or telepathic intervention)
Psionic Shield: More of a passive ability in line with the rest of his abilities, Nate has blocks up in his mind to stop psionic abilities. This ability is not something he can actively change, increase, decrease, or do anything with and it's not particularly strong.
Nate is a quick reader, having spent the majority of his childhood alone and with nothing really to do but read. His reading pace and comprehension are exceptionally quick.
Being invisible means people bump into you a lot, so Nate has become very good at dodging, parkour, and other forms of physical gymnastics to keep away from people and move very quickly without running into obstacles.
He's a sharp shooter at darts. What the hell else was he gonna do when he wasn't reading?

He knows that the moment someone looks away, they’ll forget him, so he’s careful with his words—succinct, precise, and often laced with dry humor. He’s an exceptional listener, not just because people tend to speak more freely around someone they won’t remember, but because he’s learned to pick up on the things people don’t say.
Witty & Sarcastic: Nate copes with his isolation through sharp wit and a biting sense of humor. He cracks jokes to fill the void, to keep himself from slipping into despair, and because if no one’s going to remember him anyway, he may as well amuse himself. Nate was born in a remote mutant commune in the Alaskan wilderness, a place meant to keep its inhabitants safe from the outside world—and, sometimes, from themselves. His abilities manifested when he was six years old, and his parents realized their son would slip from their awareness the second they turned their heads. They lost him in crowds. They forgot to set a place for him at dinner. His existence became a series of fleeting moments—acknowledged only in glimpses and then gone again, like a dream that vanishes upon waking.
He would have been completely alone if not for Kit.
Kit, for reasons no one could explain, remembered him. He could turn away, blink, even sleep, and he’d still remember Nate was real. No one else in the commune could. It was Kit who found him when he wandered too far into the tundra, who reminded the elders that Nate existed, who stopped him from fading into complete isolation.
Nate learned how to exist in the gaps, to become a ghost in his own home. He got good at speaking quickly before people forgot he was there, at maneuvering through life unseen. He could take things, leave things, listen to conversations no one knew he’d been a part of. He tried not to use it maliciously, but frustration crept in over the years. He had no history, no recognition, no relationships beyond what Kit could anchor for him.
And Kit, as much as Nate appreciated him, couldn’t be his whole world forever.
