I'm going to counter your compromise with one of my own. A countercompromise.
I'm not just going to give over one night to you. What I want is to have a great evening with you. Making dinner, dancing, I'll get my dads to babysit Mini Littlefoot. We'll have fun and if things go that way, then sure, I'm down. But I'm not just going to give it up. I want it to be natural and I want it to be genuine.
As for Melinda, that's on you. I'm not and I will never tell you who you can and cannot fuck and who you can or cannot be friends with. If she's a part of your happiness, then good.
