ICE BAUER | ||||
| ice ice baby; alright stop - collaborate and listen; ice is back with my brand new invention, something grabs ahold of me tightly, flow like a harpoon daily and nightly. will it ever stop? yo i don't know...... ![]() Ice Bauer is a 30-year-old born witch who has played with all the magic, but stayed relatively low in white, blood and gray while going ahead and mastering black. He's actually one of those guys who firmly believes that black magic isn't evil, it's all about how and why you use it. (Though he's not above using a curse for his own gain here and there if someone's really asking for it) About a year ago while he was out tracking down a rogue member of his coven he encountered Team Omega and after everything was said and done he decided that he wanted to go along with them. He was taken on as the resident magic expert and now he's traveling around with them, playing the hunter gig and loving practically every minute of it. He's also loving the familiar he got in Africa; a mandrill by the name of Rafiki. | |||
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE turn off the lights and i'll glow Ice is just an inch shy of being average height for a guy at 5'9" (something that he is completely fine with, who wants to be tall?) and he's kinda... well, scrawny wouldn't be the wrong word. He's never had a lot of muscles thanks to preferring activities like spell-casting, reading, listening to music or even dancing to playing any kind of sport. Since joining up with Omega he's gotten more fit, but no more impressive looking in the muscle department. He claims it's because muscles wouldn't look right on his body; everyone else probably thinks it's because he seems allergic to working out. He keeps his dark brown hair cut short enough so that it doesn't cover his ears, but definitely not shaved because he tried that once and swore never, ever again. His eyes are a shade of dark brown and when he laughs or smiles they tend to crinkle like they're trying to make room for that huge smile of his. And Ice is a guy who likes to smile and laugh even if he's the only one who thinks that it's funny at the time. He's got an extremely expressive face and he loves showing that off; always pulling off over the top expressions because, well, he can. There are various little scars on his hands and left arm thanks to the blood magic he will engage in, but nothing that looks all that series. Clothing-wise it really just depends on the day and what he's doing. Ice is as comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt as he is wearing a nicer outfit, though jeans a t-shirt are more likely now that he has to live out of a suitcase and they're easier to store. Granted his idea of a good t-shirt probably has a faded logo from some band famous in the 90s on it, but he doesn't see why that's a problem. Those shirts are worn exactly as they come. The nicer ones tend to be paired with a vest just because he thinks that he looks damn good in them, and if this happens then there's also a tie just because. Ice is very rarely found without a pair of headphones around his neck or earbuds dangling out of his pocket because one never knows when they need to have their music. He's usually got his beat-up old messenger bag slung on too for carrying those books, notes and ingredients he might end up needing today. ...at first glance people might say that he looks sort of like a geek and really? He kinda is.
PERSONALITY if there was a problem - yo i'll solve it Ice... simply put, Ice has two major and defining sides. The first one is what has been labeled his 'Hermione' side since he joined Team Omega and it kicks in when he's studying or researching anything. He buckles down with his materials, music and his serious face and gets things done. When he's like this he can be a little snippy if someone interrupts him or disagrees with what he knows is right because no, he just spent three hours going over that and he's right. Granted he's almost always that way when it comes to the topic of magic - he's the magic expert for a reason and did you grow up around multiple covens learning more about magic than you ever did the history of your country? No he didn't think so, take your opinion somewhere else unless it's useful. And to him, when it comes to magic, the only useful opinion will probably come from another witch if they're of an equal or higher level than him. Like... white magic? He will always trust Slevin's opinion because he's a master of it; he might be a little reluctant to admit that he doesn't know it as well, but he will. Anyone else he might tell to stop talking and leave it to the big boys. Even if the opinion he gets is actually valid and helpful he'll still be touchy about it because he doesn't like missing little details that someone else has clearly been able to pick up on. Hurts his little battle mage pride, it does. Ice also sees nothing wrong with laying down a little curse if someone ruins one of his books or CDs. Those are important, thank you. The other side is Ice's default and without a doubt the more commonly seen one. He loves to laugh, make jokes, hang out with whoever's around and just have a good time no matter where he is or what it takes to have his fun. So he's joined up with a group that goes around hunting and killing the bad supernaturals, why can't that be absolutely great? Oh right, because he has to live out of a suitcase and that seriously infringes on his ability to bring along every book, notebook and ingredient that he may find himself in need of. But other than that! Not a lot bothers Ice - things that do including dissing his music or implicating that someone else is 'better than' any of the artists he likes, or trying to shut off his music when he's got it going. Ice has accepted that pretty much every member of Omega can kick his ass in the physical spectrum, with a good humor at that, he thinks that they should all accept that he can lay down some good spells. Saying that he has good music would also be really nice of you to do. He usually gets along with most people; probably because he doesn't spend enough time around anyone these days to figure out their bad points - except Omega, and he's just used to them now. His biggest problem is with black witches who are out there giving his chosen mastery a bad reputation by using it all strictly for their own gains. Ice truly believes that black magic isn't an evil thing and how it is viewed should be dependent on who is using it, and how. He resents anyone implying that he's any shade of 'evil' and okay, so cursing people who say that isn't exactly good image control, but... it was only a little curse? They asked for it! Fine, he'll take it off. Ice also doesn't exactly believe in good or evil. He believes in right and wrong, yes, but also that it depends on who you're asking. Killing people is wrong - unless you're doing it to stop them from killing and hurting more people because, well, you're one person and there's more of them. So he sees nothing wrong with what Omega does and everything wrong with what, say, a bloodthirsty vamp with no regards for human life or using a bloodbank would do. Or even a bitten were who doesn't put themselves in a cage. Sure it's not their fault that they go into a rage every full moon, but it is their fault that they're not shutting themselves up somewhere so they don't hurt anyone. It's all a matter of perspective. You have yours and he has his. (He'll just tell you that his is right.)
ODDS & ENDS when i play a dope melody anything less than the best is a felony Special Skills/Abilities: Ice is almost always able to lighten the mood of any given situation and he views that as a wonderful gift that everyone should be thanking him for. He's also got quite an impressive array of knowledge when it comes to linguistics (he does have a Master's degree in it) and the history of magic (personal interest). Ice can speak, read and write Latin, Italian and French on top of his native English. He's also got a basic grasp on Spanish, Russian, Chinese and Swedish which he picked up mostly from old books and self-teaching when he got bored with everything else. When it comes to physical fighting he's not the best, but at least he knows how to handle a gun and not shoot himself in the foot. Personal Strengths: -Mmmaaaaaaagic! Ice grew up surrounded by witches and was taught a lot of what he knows by them, their books or their notes. He isn't a master in everything because hey, he's only thirty, but maybe one day! Not only is Ice good at what he does, he's downright amazing at figuring out what is going on with other witches. He studies so much - occasionally without practice - that he knows about things he cannot possibly do himself. Excuse him while he tries to get Slevin to show off some of those high-level white spells so that he has a better feel for it. He's most familiar with black, blood and gray magic from a mix of his own practices and the members of his coven. Personal Weaknesses: -Yes I NEED all those books! Ice has gotten very, very used to having whatever book he needs for this or that purpose either being right there, across the road in his grandparent's house or at worst down at the store. Since he started traveling with Omega he's needed to cut back a lot on the books that he takes with him, which sucks in his opinion. Yeah yeah, he knows that laptops store a ton of information and that's great, but there's nothing quite like the feel of a book and he's been known to get a little sulky and even snippy if the information he needs isn't around because he couldn't bring that book he didn't need until right this moment with him. It's practically guaranteed that in any town they stop in, Ice is going to find the bookstore. Then he's going to buy a few books. But he really prefers the secondhand sort and he's vocally opposed to the big bookstore chains because they lack that same feel and the books are all new. What's so great about new books? -Screw the dark, man. The downside to coming from a place full of witches is that you're probably going to piss someone off at some point and Ice was unlucky enough for his to be another black witch with a really deep knowledge of curses. Ice cannot even tell you what exactly he did to deserve this particular one, but no one has been able to break it as of yet and Ice... is night-blind. He can see a little when it's dark, but not well. He knows a few spells that can help him out if he really needs to for some hunt Omega is on, but he's way better in the light and you won't catch him walking around outside at night alone because it's pretty humiliating to be found in the morning a mess because you had it out with the dumpster out back. -Not such a magical world. Growing up in Wyrde left it's mark on Ice in more than one way and they weren't all positive. Even years spent at university didn't really help prepare him because he was still able to go and visit home whenever he needed. Now he can't do that. Now he has to put up with being in unfamiliar places where he doesn't know where he can get the best supplies or advice on this write-up and whether or not this curse will actually work or multiple opinions on how to improve this one... it takes a lot of getting used to and it's just not the same to call Fern or Granny for advice instead of seeing them. He can also overstock on some supplies because he ran out last time and has no idea how long it'll be before he finds the next worthwhile store and if anyone listens, then he'll grumble about how these damn herbs are nothing compared to the ones from his garden. The Light of May is helping and all? But not enough if you ask Ice. (It's better to never ask Ice) -Hakuna Matata! For the most part - if you don't count those times when he's cracking down for business - Ice is as chill as his namesake. He likes to go with the flow and it's his opinion that everyone should go right along with him. He doesn't stop to think that maybe other people don't like the music he does - because how can they not?! - don't want to spend their nights out at the local bar having a good time or worst of all... get down, quiet and depressed-seeming. Okay, so he's a part of a team that goes around taking care of dangerous supernaturals and that's not exactly a safe job; but what good is worrying or dwelling on what just went down going to help? Unless it's analyzing exactly why it is. Because Ice's chill view of the rest of life extends onto how he feels about someone else's getting ended for this or that reason: it happened, it's done and can he have that beer yet?
PERSONAL HISTORY the girlies on standby waving just to say hi did you stop? no i just rolled by Wyrde, Minnesota... a small and supposedly quiet town nestled a stone's throw from Ice Lake. Outsiders passing through wouldn't ever know that it's always been something more than 'just a town', but rather the home of several witch covens who sought it out and formed it well over a century ago because they wanted a place of their own. There are dozens of tales about the exact formation, how they held together over the years and what-not, but no two are ever quite the same and the one that the townspeople prescribe to themselves usually depends on which coven they were born into. So for Ice Bauer (born to a gray witch father and a water elemental/black witch mother who enjoyed Woodstock too much when she was having her time out in the world, and also really hoped that this kid would be an elemental like her) the story goes that they held together because they needed to. Outsiders came and - sometimes stayed, but far more typically - went without knowing that the 'quaint little shops' were actually a steady livelihood in a town of people who needed ingredients and tools. Of course they had people with actual jobs in other cities - they even have themselves a little supermarket though no fast food chains have been granted approval by the council - but for the most part it's a town that has done it's absolute best, with quite a bit of success, to stay true to its roots and out of the mainstream. Ice was the third child, and only boy, born to Winston and Summer Bauer, both natives to Wyrde. His sisters, Fern and Rain, were six and two years older than him respectively. They were both born witches and nothing else which, while being plenty good enough as they were told many times, nonetheless disappointed Summer a little as she'd been hoping that at least one of her children would take after her. Ice tried, despite being told that elementalism didn't work that way, but after he nearly drowned when he was six while trying to show that hey, maybe he was one too after all! he was taken aside by Summer and given a talk that saw to him stopping his attempts to be what he wasn't. Which was for the better because even as a kid, Ice loved magic. It was better than any of the sports or hiking or going fishing on the lake that he liked to claim was his namesake and while the other boys his age were joining t-ball or peewee soccer, he was digging around in his grandparent's rooms to find their books. And unlike his sister's he didn't immediately find one of the magic's he liked best. It was a good thing that he hadn't been born to the white magic only coven or their opposite, the black magic only, because he would have wilted and struggled if he was limited to only one. As it was he had enough trouble when the time came to go to school. Wyrde had had a one-room schoolhouse for awhile, but by the time that Ice was old enough to start that had been well and done away with and Wyrde's school-age population was shipped to a county school. Now he'd had it explained to him time and time again that school was different. School was not home. He was supposed to behave the same at school as they did when outsiders were visiting; no magic and no talking about magic. No taking his spellbooks or any materials and once again - no casting spells. Kindergarten was a struggle for him just because he already knew how to read and count so he was left with time on his hands and what he wanted to do he couldn't. Until he spent a weekend with his maternal grandmother - Granny - and learned about blood magic. He was just a kid, but this was a magic that could go anywhere with him and Ice insisted on being taught it right along the black magic that his mother was showing him. Now, he wasn't learning it maliciously, he was learning it because it had the most immediate results that he could see and also because he wanted to distinguish himself a little from his sisters. Balancing school and magic was never easy for him. Ice didn't get why the two had to be separate and when he learned about home-schooling he begged on a monthly basis for his mom to do that with him. Summer never gave in but every time the report cards came out there was another talk had that Ice listened to, he really did!, but he had a real problem putting as much effort into learning about history and math when there were more interesting potentials with magic. Four different types and no matter what anyone told him, he was determined that he was going to learn them all to the best of his ability. Under Granny's tutelage he reached the second level of blood by the time he was thirteen, but he could never get further than that because forcefully taking blood from someone else was a little bit much and he wasn't all that keen on the idea of animal and human sacrifice either. (Not that he ever witnessed Granny do this, but she was one of the very respected members of their coven for a reason and Ice decided he just didn't want to know.) He kept on with black magic but moved onto trying some gray with his father and found it fascinating. For awhile he thought that maybe he'd dedicate himself wholly to a type of magic because this one had such unpredictable results, but the overall idea of... balancing everything out was too much for him. He mastered basic first level spells and was getting into second, but one rather unfortunate spell meant to help him get a date for the middle school graduation dance that ended up having everyone ignore him for a few days... that was enough to get him off of that brand and he turned his attentions back to black with a side of white, just because he'd never tried it and it might be useful someday to know things about wards and protections and all that stuff. His senior year of high school saw his grades staying the same as they'd always been, average, while his magic got better. But it suffered a brief setback as he toyed with black magic. Ice had suffered the backlashes of several failed spells during his life, but the one he had when he was eighteen... Ice had been seeing a girl, Eliza, from a different coven (which wasn't really a big deal) on and off for their junior and senior years. But honestly? They'd go out and have fun, but Ice wasn't the best boyfriend in the world because most of his spare time went into studying and he even admitted that magic was the most important thing in his life when she asked him. They started to drift apart though nothing was official until prom came around. Ice got two tickets, sort of expecting that she'd be going with him, and then he found out that she was actually going with one of the guys from the all-white-magic coven that didn't really mix well with Ice's since obviously they didn't shun any of the magic's. Ice was hurt, but he'd have gotten over it, until he heard this guy - he can't remember his name okay - saying things about him. Like that he was working towards a master in blood magic and ritually killed every animal he came across. For some reason that really ticked him off (the part where this guy was going out with the girl that he'd been with for two years might've helped a wee bit) and he did something that he'd never done before. Ice had been told time and time again by his mother and father both that spells above his level weren't to be played with. Maybe studied for future reference, but never actually used... Ice tried to use an actual curse he found in one of his mom's hidden books. It backfired horribly and landed Ice in the hospital. He missed graduation and everything - not that he cared. High school was over and good riddance to it. For about a year he tooled around town just studying magic and working at his family's supply store, but his parents were really getting on his case and Ice decided that hell, fine, he'd go to college. See what it was like more than thirty minutes outside of Wyrde. He decided on the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities with a major in Linguistics and a minor in Latin. And Ice learned the strangest thing: he liked school when he could get down to things that he actually thought were interesting and worth knowing. Oh sure, there were those handful of classes he had to take, but there were less of those and he got to focus in. Ice finally found something that he could balance his magic out with. He didn't give up on the magic, never, and he even found a real magic shop in Minneapolis and made himself a few friends with other actual witches instead of the wanna-be's who didn't realize magic was completely a real thing. It was never the same as being at home and he went back for every break, but it was an interesting way to live. It was at university that Ice really started getting into music and his absolute favorite song of all time? "Ice Ice Baby" because it is a good jam and his name is right there in it. He played that song to death and then some. Ice was that guy in the dorms who always had his music going even at night, and sure he would turn it down or plug in his headphones, but the music was necessary. It became integral to his studying and he found that he did way better when he had the music going. His first four years at UofM-TC were pretty typical; he did almost all the normal college things, had himself a few girlfriends, painted himself in the school colors for homecoming even though he'd never cared about football before and had fun when he wasn't busy studying. When he got his bachelor's at twenty-three (he had waited that year before going) he decided that he wanted to get a master's in Linguistics and pursued that. By the time he finally left the Twin Cities when he was twenty-seven he had a Master's in Linguistics, a Bachelor's in Latin and a minor in both French and Italian. Not the most realistic languages for someone who had no intentions of really traveling... but hey, he liked them and they helped him with some older spellbooks. Instead of pursuing a Doctorate - though he thought about it - or a position at a university or somewhere his degrees would actually be used, Ice went back to Wyrde and started working at the library. Which was actually pretty substantially sized for such a small place thanks to all the old books other people offered when this or that relative passed. That and Ice was an active pursuer of books that he'd be interested in. Life was good and pretty simple a thing. Of course there were always a few bumps when one lives among witches and Ice ended up the wrong end of a few curses from people who went a little too far, but it was never terribly serious from his point-of-view. He even had a fairly serious relationship going with one of the girls from his coven; Carrie. They had started going out when he had visited once during the summer and kept on because they got along, had the same interests, the same friends and was there really anyone better? Ice endured multiple questions about when he was going to settle down with her, ask her to marry him... they practically lived in the same apartment as it was so why not? Ice could never give a really good reason; but it was because neither of them were totally happy in the relationship and they were both aware of it. but they were content and why mess around with that? Just let it be, man. In 2008 everything was carrying on in the same way until members of the white-magic-only coven started to have... issues with the black magic users. All of them. Including the ones who were in Ice's own coven. There were a few verbal conflicts and some magical ones, but they were nothing out of the ordinary. Maybe there were a few more of them, but they were still able to keep it under control in the same way they always did. Ice thinks that maybe it was the elevated levels of stress among the townspeople that made one of his own coven members snap. Barry was a blood witch who had always been a little odd with a vocal dislike for white magic. Ice doesn't know why he did it, no one really knows, but one night he broke into a store owned by one of the more prominent white witches in town, ransacked the place and then ran off, taking with him a very old magical family heirloom that was undeniably irreplaceable. Since it was a member of their coven it was hardly a surprise that Ice and his sister, Fern, were among the ones who decided to go and find him. They had no idea he was going to turn out as dangerous as he did. They chased that man across several states, a surprisingly bloody and violent trail that left Ice in a state of shock and Fern had to return home, unable to even comprehend looking at the person who did that. It was in North Platte, Nebraska that they finally found him. But they were not the only ones who did - a group of people calling themselves Omega were on the same trail. They just came a little later than them to the party and they already had Barry in their custody. There was a bit of an argument that was settled when they agreed to let Omega come with them back to Wyrde so they could be assured that Barry was going to be dealt with. For his part, Ice was fascinated by these people. He'd always known about witches and elementals, but these other races? Psychics... were's? He was sold. Wyrde was great and he loved it, but these people went places and helped people all the time. Ice may have hated what Barry had done, but he kind of loved the thrill of hunting and catching him. So he tossed himself at Omega with the pitch and somehow they took him along as resident magic expert. Biggest changes? Getting used to life hunting instead of studying in the library or just rocking out in his apartment. (Oh, right, and he had to break up with Carrie because she wasn't there and it wasn't like contentness was enough to last over god knew how many miles) Also adjusting to the limited packing space because what the hell, he needs those books! But overall he's glad that he joined in with the ones who were there before him; Ash, Maya, Theodore, Maxine and Slevin. He was even cool when they added a member newer than him in Logan. Ice has enjoyed this past year with the team - despite having to adjust to things like, you know, getting shot at - and he's really glad that he left Wyrde with them. They're great. And he would never have learned to shoot a gun otherwise. (That and come on, his musical love had to be shared and spread. Like a virus.) After the Light of May: Ice was still just getting used to the idea of were's, psychics, sirens and vampires being real without having it all thrust out there for the world to see. And he's not sure that he's actually cool with it. Before, magic was a sort of special thing that was more hidden and now everyone knows that it's real. Hell, with Harry Potter out there he's just waiting for someone to start up a magical university that he will want to blow up for reasons of pure jealousy because goddamn, he didn't have anything that cool when he was a kid! Also hunting is now illegal and that is not great news when it comes to the whole Omega thing since they function as hunters and yeeaaah. It'd have been hard to explain to the police before, but now? Ice doesn't want to find out how it'd go. The definite upside is that finding magic shops became a whole lot easier so he doesn't have to be such a packrat when it comes to supplies and what not. In way more exciting news than any of that - Ice got himself a familiar. It happened right around the time that Slevin got Boo, only Ice will maintain that his little guy is more badass because he has fingers and a little staff. He was stretched out under a tree, chilling away from the awful heat in Africa, when a furry little creature suddenly landed on his chest. After the completely necessary screeching and flailing that went hand-in-hand with being jumped, Ice realized he was holding a months-old mandrill baby. And it was talking to him inside of his head. As someone whose dealt with magic his entire life and then spent a year tracking down all manner of nasty thing, it's probably not surprising that Ice was completely chill with this. And his name... was Rafiki. Ice loved it because of that Rafiki. He has even fashioned him a little tiny staff and made him watch the Lion King time and time again so that he can understand the awesome he aspires to. Also because there are certain big cats in the group who should be thwapped on the head when they're trying to shut off his stereo. Family: Mother: Summer Bauer (black witch/water elemental) Father: Winston Bauer (gray witch) Sisters: Fern (36, witch) and Rain (32, witch) Grandparents: Granny (blood witch) Familiar: Rafiki (baby mandrill)
BORN WITCH this is the rhythm of my life - my life oh yeah A born witch has more powerful magic and will advance with more ease in life, as well as having a lower fail rate for their spells. Additionally, born witches can write and create spells, while others can not. Black Magic: Mastery: Any black magic is workable. Born witches can curse others (can also write spells) Gray Magic: Level 1: You can only cast spells on yourself. Level 2: You can cast spells on other people, as long as you're within a fifteen-foot radius. Blood Magic: Level 1: All spells require your own blood. You can work spells that will lash out at other people. Level 2: Different spells require different blood types, but you can get them from any means - IE, it can be donated. White Magic: Level 1: Spells are focused on wards and protection, and short-term (anywhere from hours to a few days).
TEAM OMEGA sing that song to me - ain't no reason to repent The Mission: Omega team hold themselves responsible for the investigation of violent crime involving the supernatural and subsequently deal out any punishment to those found guilty. The sentence for such crime is usually death, but this has never been set in stone and they have the freedom to alter the sentence as they see fit. The Procedure: Omega’s work is a mixture of hired contract jobs for those in the know (and usually with deep pockets, though under the right circumstances they have been know to forgo the fee) and leads they come across themselves. Despite once being based in Lausanne, they are now heavily mobile -- both because of the wide range across which they search for cases and because it makes them just that much harder to track. They travel by caravan, plus a couple of other vehicles (equipment vans, etc.) and tend to stay with the vehicles or grab a motel. Everyone travels lightly. The Team: DETAILS: 32 years-old. Born were-boar. Combat and weapons specialist. Ringtone - "Space Jam. Ash is the Pumbaa to Ice's Timon and that means that he thinks the big guy is pretty awesome and almost always a blast to be around. Sure he could snap him in half with one hand tied behind his back, so what? Ice isn't bothered by that. He actually think it's pretty cool. No matter that things can get really dangerous with Omega (or with other people if you're Ice and kind of prone to be occasionally annoying), Ice always feels pretty safe when Ash is around to have his back. Big guy can also be labeled guilty of enjoying a good jam out with Ice in one of the cars. DETAILS: 30 years-old. Born were-tiger. Combat and weapons specialist. Ringtone - "Da Dip". Maya is one of those people that Ice isn't ever 100% sure where exactly he stands... but that doesn't affect the way he behaves towards her at all. Sure she can turn into a tiger and maul his face off, but he doesn't think she really would. ...and if he's wrong and she ever tried because he pushed one button too hard or taught Rafiki to bap her on the head if she ever goes to turn off his stereo then... well he's okay with hiding behind Ash. Really, he thinks Maya is a cool cat - pun totally intended - and will make sure she hears her ringtone at least once a week. For the laughs. ![]() DETAILS: 29 years-old. Technokinetic. Tech expert. Ringtone. At first, Ice wasn't sure what to make of Theo. Probably because they were close in age or something like that, but either way it didn't matter because not long after Ice hooked up with Omega they had a little... misunderstanding that was only ended by the intervention of one of the others. (Probably for the better because Ice and Theo are just not made to be the fighters) After that it seemed like whatever had been in the way just vanished and they became pretty good friends. When he's not blaring his music too long or locked up with his books, Ice likes to spend time with Teddy because he's a good guy and they just get along. Plus he's got himself a fascinating little power that Ice likes to watch. So long as it stays far, far away from his electronics. ![]() DETAILS: 106 years-old. Siren. Historian and demonologist. Ringtone - "Love Shack". Straight off the bat Maxine was a confusion solely because she's... well she's a siren and isn't that thing supposed to worry a guy? But it didn't take long for Ice to stop worrying about that because she's smart and that is enough to cover any and all faults. There's also that part where she's hilarious because she acts like a grandmother some of the time, but then she can also act definitely... not. Overall Ice thinks that she's cool and he's almost completely forgotten about the fact that she's a siren. Almost. She's also the hottest grandma that he's ever known - which he's probably said to her before comparing her with his own Granny. DETAILS: 48 years-old. Born witch and earth elemental. Medic. Ringtone - "U Can't Touch This". Slevin would be awesome to Ice if all he was was a master white witch, but then he had to go and be a cool guy on top of it. Ice loves watching Slevin work his spells and can sometimes possibly stare a little too hard - like Slevin's a living instructional video he needs to soak up. And yes he has been known to occasionally scribble notes down here or there even though he cannot attempt that level himself. Outside of magic, he thinks that Slevin is awesome for (letting him store an extra book in his things) jamming out with him and Ash and he's always game for helping the guy out whenever he needs it. Plus, seriously? He's got himself an awesome familiar in that little lion. ![]() DETAILS: 33 years-old. Clairsentient/finder. Forensics. Ringtone - "Blue". Ice loves, absolutely love, to join right in with Ash when it comes to teasing Logan for this, that and the other. He just tends to carry it on for a little bit longer because, well, it's Ice and that's how he rolls. Also because he doesn't think that Logan quite appreciates his music as much as he should. He appreciates what Logan does, don't get him wrong, he's just not sure he gets him all the way through.
