Do they know it's Christmas time at all?
I just spent way too long downloading and obscene amount of Christmas music from this post. And because I just watched New Amsterdam, and there was a The Decemberists song featured in the pilot, I'm wondering if they've ever done any Christmas music. Or if any of their own songs have some sort of mention of Christmas. I can't think of any...

Wish List

• I'll copy Steph here and say: An end to the strike.


• Are there Christmas songs by The Decemberists? Because I'd like that please! Also, Radiohead Christmas songs. And I probably just picked the only two bands in the history of time never to have recorded/played Christmas songs. </b>


• Fic recs. Especially of the Spike/Buffy or Josh/Donna variety. Anything new for Spike/Buffy is always good since I think I've pretty much exhausted the supply of old-but-awesome fics.


• Book recs. Always welcome. Year round. Even if I won't end up reading all of them next year, just people being excited about books puts me in the mood to read them.


• TV recs. I don't necessarily need people to tell me what shows are out there, but I want to hear why you love a certain show. Ones I own and would like to be sold on: Band of Brothers, Bleak House, Carnivàle, Deadwood, Oz, Queer as Folk (US). Ones I don't own but would like to hear people's opinion of: Spooks s4-s6, Keen Eddie, Life on Mars s2, Strangers with Candy, ummm...any other show ever?


• Icon maker/fan artist recs. I'm in a total creative slump and I need inspiration. Who are your favorites right now?


• Vid recs. In particular, funny vids, in the vein of "Whatever". 'Shippy vids are also welcome as long as they're awesome. Oh, and they don't have to be fandom vids if they're funny, regular YouTube vids work too. I just feel like I need to laugh, lighten the mood in the gloomy mid-winter.


• Icon memes. I may not participate in memes very often, but when I do they're mostly about icons. And I love looking at others' icon memes. I especially enjoyed one that lovebit did, with a collage of her favorite 100 icons. Speaking of...


• silvergreen's icons have pretty much disappeared, and I'm not one to save other people's icons, but there was one she made of this cap (or, at least, that's as close as I can remember. It was probably from an .avi cap, though) and I think it would be a shame if it disappeared completely. Does anyone have it on their hard drive? In their user pics? And there was also a Lilly icon that I can't really remember, except for thinking it was great. Basically, anything you've got from VM or Buffy (the Dr Who icons are easier to find).


• Go here and see if there's a friend you can buy some paid time or extra user pics for.

Haha, I tried to pick an icon for this and I have all of two icons from Christmas-themed episodes. This one I'm using, and this one. Makes even me wonder if I hate the holiday. (For the record, I don't, but I have become slightly apathetic in the past few years.)
