Just rambling
So, guess what my job has been since I last posted? If you took a look at my icon and guessed "translating Sports Night", YOU'D BE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT.
"But, Jems," you're probably asking yourself right now, "if something good is happening, how can you be sure it's still 2008? How can you be sure you weren't sucked into some type of time vortex?" Well, I'll tell you: It's because I was dropped smack dab into the middle of the freakin' Dating Plan! The one storyline that makes me question if I actually like this show since it sucks SO MUCH.

At last, I've found a show where I HATE the narration. Though it's all because the actress playing Sarah has the most annoying voice of all time. I think she's trying to imitate Linda Hamilton's slightly breathy voice as well as her T2 monotone, and it's making me insane. I hope she stops trying to imitate the actress and starts making the character her own soon, or I may need to find out where the mute button is.
Of course, the voice could actually be her own, in which case she has my sincerest condolences.
Okay, so waaaaay back, before they started shooting the movie, there was a rumor making the rounds that the movie wasn't going to be a sequel, and that and a few other things that came to light recently made me come up with a theory today. More like wishful thinking, actually, but still.
What if the movie is about the genesis of Mulder and Scully's romantic relationship? I mean, they say it's going to be a MotW type deal, it looks like Mulder and Scully are at the FBI in those photos, it's not necessarily a sequel to the series (though the only mention I found on it in a Google search was on some blog, but I know I saw it on my flist. Perhaps in
dianora2's journal?), and then today Tissa linked to an article quoting CC:"For me, The X-Files has always been a romance," he says. "They had an intellectual romance that's very rare and restrained compared to so many relationships on TV. I think that's what appealed most to the fans. And they're back."

There was also one of the first quotes about "taking Mulder and Scully's relationship in new directions" (or something to that effect). Anyone wanna join me in tinhat land?
