I really enjoyed the wedding, but it was kind of bittersweet because it felt like this is is the end of the road. I might continue to watch, but this is pretty much where my fannish involvement with the show ends. At least I got closure? And pretty closure at that!

So, people were apparently debating fiercely over who won - boys or girls? My take on it was that neither of the mash-ups bowled me over, but when I'd finished watching the episode, this was the only scene I HAD to picspam:

And all the shows that aren't...

<lj-cut text="FlashForward">FlashForward
I stand by the comment I made to somebody after the pilot that the show is joyless. If it wasn't for John Cho's character, I would probably drop this show within the next few episodes. But I neeeeed to know what happens to him. If he dies, I can pretty much guarantee that I'm out. </lj-cut>

<lj-cut text="Eastwick">Eastwick
I'm not in love, but it hasn't lost me yet - mostly thanks to Paul Gross. The main thing this did was make me crave some Practical Magic, so I read the book and then (re-)watched the movie. And then I made some icons, just for good measure. </lj-cut>

<lj-cut text="Community">Community
I was thinking about dropping this after the pilot, but I'm glad I didn't (I think I must just not have been in the mood for comedy/new tv/take your pick), because it's got some serious potential.

After this week's episode, I'm thinking Abed must be Buster's long lost twin. Not that they're mirror images, but they're two sides of the same coin.

So, one awesome new comedy. You know which comedy wasn't awesome?

...</lj-cut>

<lj-cut text="Modern Family">Modern Family
I HAAAAAATED the pilot, and I can't seem to be able to put myself through that ordeal again. And it wasn't even the whole show, it was one single character ruining it for me. Everything else was middling-to-fun, but the "hip" dad just killed any enjoyment I might have felt. I couldn't get past what a misstep that character was. And so it went to that great TV graveyard in the sky. </lj-cut>

<lj-cut text="The Good Wife">The Good Wife
I'd probably be watching this anyway, just for the cast, but it turns out I really like the show! Well, the first couple of episodes, at least. This week's episode was kind of a dud. But that's okay, because at least it's shown that it is capable of grabbing me, which means I'll give it at least a half-season's worth of episodes.</lj-cut>

<lj-cut text="Being Erica">Being Erica
Erica/Ethan still bore the crap out of me, but I'm really liking this season so far. Maybe it'll be like with Ted/Robin in season 2, and the show will be elevated by the relationship-as-opposed-to-the-pining. Because god, the pining when it's a couple I care nothing about is excrutiating! Much better to have them in a relationship so that the storyline can get pushed into the background. </lj-cut>

<lj-cut text="Top Chef">Top Chef
I'm basically just waiting it out until Kevin wins. I wouldn't hate a win for Jennifer, but I find her food kind of boring, so I'd much prefer it to be Kevin. I guess the brothers will also make it to the top four, but if both of them make it to the finale, I call foul! The producers had better not mess with the show that way this year.</lj-cut>

<lj-cut text="The Big Bang Theory">The Big Bang Theory
As always, Penny/Leonard kills any enjoyment to be had from the show. And even though I like Sheldon/Penny, it's not like I expect it to ever happen on the show, so it isn't about 'ship rivalry, it's about the fact that it's boring, trite and borderline icky whenever Leonard finally obtains his dream of getting together with Penny. Just...can we not do this anymore, writers? I'm about this close to giving up the show until the madness stops. </lj-cut>

<lj-cut text="Sons of Anarchy">Sons of Anarchy
I was expecting not being able to stand this show, because I find anarchy as a concept to be kind of ridiculous, and I usually end up despising people who live on the wrong side of the law because I find them weak and selfish.

But as it turns out, I'm loving it so far! I'm only up to episode 6, but that's mostly because I've been forcing myself not to gobble up all the episodes in one sweep. To that end, I've been alternating SoA with episodes of...</lj-cut>

<lj-cut text="Drop Dead Diva">Drop Dead Diva
Which I'm also loving! It's fun, it's light, it's fluffy! The charm of the show rests almost entirely on the lead actress' performance, and so far she's delivering in spades.

And isn't it just typical that I find two kinda sorta off-season shows that I love just as the TV season is getting underway? I'm never going to catch up with everything. </lj-cut>

(Also watching but have nothing to say about at the moment: The Amazing Race, Dexter, HIMYM, Castle, Lie to Me, The Mentalist, Bones, Cougar Town, Project Runway (okay, one thing: THIS SEASON IS BOOORING), It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Dollhouse.)
