IN CHARACTER

NAME: T’Challa aka Black Panther
JOURNAL: _KingofTheDead_
PLAYED BY: Chadwick Boseman
FANDOM: Marvel (Comics)
CANON POINT: Mostly New Avengers up to the most current issue, with wikia references to past events.

CAN THIS CHARACTER BE CANON PUNCTURED? Yes, which will only intrigue him.

WHAT ARE YOUR INTENTIONS WITH THIS CHARACTER IN GAME? To add to the roster of Avengers (and maybe someday the Illuminati) and see how a humble teacher realizes he’s a superhero and a king of a country AND the king of the dead! He keeps mostly to himself so he’s going to have to learn how to be more social.

CANON HISTORY: T’Challa’s Wiki can be found here and another one here.

IN GAME HISTORY:
T’Challa Okonkwo hails from the Republic of Congo, a refugee from the civil war of the 1990s. An orphan, he was brought to the United States as a teenager. Here he flourished with his adopted family, taking nothing for granted. He was hungry for knowledge, and quickly excelled in his studies despite being many years behind his peers in education. He put himself through college, with the help of academic scholarships, a sports scholarship (rugby), and working. He studied Cultural Anthropology, and then went on to get his masters and PhD, focusing in 'Archaeology and Ancient Technologies'. He's been in the OC a few years, previously working as a professor at University of California, Irvine. His two courses were Post-Colonial Africa and an Anthropology Masters course. He’s passionate about having the youth aware of what’s going on in the world that the news doesn't report about - all the conflicts that don’t make the headlines but he feels are just as important as what’s trending on Twitter (which, by the way, he will never understand what Twitter is and how it works). He now works for Tony Stark in R&D at Stark Industries, as the dreams gifted him with so much scientific knowledge he felt compelled to pursue it. Once in a while, however, he still makes a trip to D.C. to remind the politicians that what’s going down in the Congo matters, and that people are still being slaughtered.

Socially he’s a quiet man of simple tastes, preferring to keep to himself with some sort of heavy reading. He’s always wanting to learn something new. Culture, art, and politics intrigue him - though he has little taste for the last as he’s from a war torn country where basic politics leads to bloodshed, and where here the politics tend to turn a blind eye to a lot of what goes on in Africa. Nonetheless, he’s grateful for the opportunities in this country and calls himself a proud American.

In his early 30s, he’s realizing he needs to socialize more and hopes to someday settle down and start a family.

AUDITION

So a faculty member suggested to me to look into this site to help connect with the local community. Hello, my name is T’Challa Okonkwo. I will be the new Anthropology teacher at the University of California, Irvine. If there are any of my prospective students on here expecting an easy ‘A’ from the humanities course, ‘Post-Colonial Africa’ of which I am taking over, you may wish to bring an extra Starbucks because there are no “easy ‘A’s” in my classroom.
