Sunday: March/1/09 - AIM: Maggie/Kim
((Before Devon comes over, I posted out of order, oops! Sorry, Monica, I know it upsets your OCD!))
Maggie: I need help! Kim: with what? Maggie: a boy is coming over tonight! Kim: what boy? Maggie: Devon Kim: oh Kim: what do you need help with? Maggie: I don't know if it's a date Kim: it might not be, but what did he say? Maggie: look at my journal Maggie: please Kim: i think maybe he's just being a good friend Maggie: ok, good Maggie: I don't think i'm ready for a date Kim: i'm sure your uncle will be glad to hear that, lol Maggie: he seems nice, right? Devon Kim: i dunno, i've never talked to him before Maggie: I mean from the journal. Maggie: he was being nice Maggie: right? Kim: oh, well, yeah, he was being nice there Maggie: good Maggie: I thought I might need to dress up if it was a date Kim: even if it was, you wouldn't have to dress up since it's just hanging out and watching movies Maggie: right Maggie: ok Maggie: I'm still nervous Maggie: why am I nervous? Kim: i don't know... do you like him? Maggie: I don't know Maggie: how do I know if I like a boy? Maggie: as more than a friend? Kim: it's kind of hard to explain Kim: you can't help but smile when you're around them, and when you're not around them, you wish you were or you're thinking about them Maggie: I don't think I feel that way Maggie: I just think he's really nice Maggie: and he kinda went through the same thing as me Kim: so don't be nervous, you guys are just friends Kim: it's good for you to have someone you can relate to Maggie: he's cute though, don't you think? Kim: he's a handsome kid Maggie: I hope Uncle Charlie doesn't get mad about him coming over Maggie: should I ask if it's ok? Kim: i think you should ask just in case, but i doubt he'd be mad Maggie: ok Maggie: I'll ask Kim: good Maggie: I'm excited though! Maggie: he's buying us pizza Maggie: and we can watch PG-13 movies! Maggie: because I'm old enough Kim: sounds cool Maggie: I'm REALLY hungry today for some reason Maggie: I keep wanting chocolate Kim: have you eaten enough today? Maggie: I think so, but I'm so hungry! Maggie: but my tummy hurt a bit earlier Kim: oh Maggie: like, really bad Maggie: I just curled up in bed for a while Kim: was it your stomach or below your stomach? Maggie: um, below Kim: ah Maggie: it wasn't one of those tummy aches where I ate too much or needed to go to the bathroom Kim: have you covered reproduction yet in sex ed? Maggie: no, but I've been reading Maggie: or trying Maggie: I spend most of my time on math, it's so hard Kim: have you read about female reproductive organs? Maggie: a little Kim: so you know about your ovaries and what happens when the egg isn't fertilized? Maggie: period? Kim: yeah Maggie: that's gonna happen to me?! Kim: yeah, i think it's gonna happen soon Maggie: I don't wanna bleed! Maggie: does it hurt? Kim: it's not bad bleeding Kim: it's uncomfortable when you get cramps, but there's medicine for it Maggie: that's what the tummy ache is? cramps? Kim: yeah Maggie: yuck Maggie: I don't like it Kim: i don't like it either, but it's part of being a woman Maggie: so what do I do? Kim: well, when you get it, you should first use pads Kim: i can go to the drugstore with you to get some if you want Maggie: yeah, please Maggie: I don't know what to do with those Kim: you put them on your underwear Maggie: I'm scared now Kim: don't be scared, it's not anything bad Maggie: what if I get blood on my clothes! what if it happens when Devon is over! Kim: if you want, you can come over now and i can give you some pads and you can wear one now just in case Maggie: yeah, ok Kim: it's gonna be fine, maggie Maggie: I'm just scared Kim: i know, it's normal, but you're gonna be fine Maggie: I don't like being a woman Kim: it's not so bad Maggie: it seems like it Kim: it's not, trust me Kim: it gets better with age and it's definitely better than being a guy Maggie: what's bad about being a guy? Kim: i don't know.. they seem to have a lot to deal with Maggie: they don't have periods Maggie: or cramps Kim: no, but they probably have other things to deal with Maggie: like what? Kim: dunno.. like worrying about everything and dealing with us Maggie: oh Maggie: that doesn't sound so hard Kim: i think i'm pretty difficult to deal with right now Maggie: I don't think so Maggie: you're so nice to me Kim: yeah, but you don't have to deal with me 24/7 Kim: i feel bad because i snap at starbuck sometimes even though i don't mean it Maggie: why do you? Kim: my hormones right now make me have a short temper so i get frustrated really easily and end up taking it out on him Maggie: do you tell him you're sorry afterward? Kim: yeah, i do Maggie: then I'm sure it's fine Kim: i know, he tells me it is too Maggie: he's a good guy Maggie: are you gonna get married? Kim: sometime in the future, yeah Maggie: can I come? Kim: of course you can! Maggie: YAY! Kim: you and your family would definitely be invited Maggie: awesome! Maggie: ok, can you come over soon to give me some pads? Maggie: Devon comes at 4 Kim: sure, i can go over now Maggie: thanks Maggie: I'll see you soon Kim: no problem Kim: see you in a bit
