THE CHARACTER FULL NAME: Jonathan Silvercloud, but he goes by Forge. SERIES/FANDOM: Ultimate X-men AGE: 28 GENDER: Male SPECIES: Homo sapiens superior SEXUALITY: Straight ALIGNMENT: Chaotic neutral
PERSONALITY: Forge is fiercely independent for the most part, having already been burnt when he threw his lot in with the Army; while he was more than happy to go Career with them, they kicked him out when he needed them the most. His squad had just been wiped out, he had lost his left leg in the attack and it had just been discovered that he was a mutant. His life was in turmoil, and the Army discharged him without even thinking twice about it. He was far more hurt by this than he's ever let on, and because of this, he is extremely hesitant to get close to most people in case they treat him similarly. Magneto, and by extension, the Brotherhood, have his loyalty now, since they understood his unwillingness to empathise and work alongside normal humans. After all, it was normal humans who kicked him out of the army when he hadn't even left the hospital yet. He is very single-minded and will work at something until it's finished, no matter what it is. Once it's started, it's almost impossible to distract Forge from the work, even for things like food or sleep. He's a bit lacking in common sense in other ways as well. "Smart enough to know it's raining, but not enough sense to come inside", as the saying goes. He can be startlingly naive at times, not always thinking things through or considering the outcome of whatever he does. He built a power-amplifier for Magneto (in return for gaining control of Canada when Magneto rules the world!) without even stopping to think "why?", only bothering to work out if he could.
ABILITIES: Forge is an intuitive inventive genius. In his own words, "My mutant skill's being able to build anything out of nothing". He can build anything he can imagine, basically. His ability is innate, i.e. He's never not using his skill. This is all within reason, of course. Despite his boast, he does need source materials of some sort, and he'd struggle at first if he didn't have any basic tools available although he could soon build what he needed and then upgrade them as he went along. A lot of the time, he doesn't know what he's going to be doing until he starts work, and then the plans will unfold in his head as he works. He had reached the rank of Sergeant in the US Army before the attack. He has latent shamanistic powers. He was offered the chance to develop the powers prior to enlisting, but he chose to ignore that side of his heritage. He was 17! He wanted to see the world and be all that he could be, as long as it didn't involve hanging round the creepy old dude from the reservation.
WEAKNESSES: He only has one leg. If anything should happen to his prosthetic, he's pretty much a sitting duck. If he's working on something, he forgets all about social niceties, and can be abrupt to the point of rudeness when dealing with people. He gets annoyed easily when people don't understand if he's explaining something he's made to them since he finds everything extremely easy to work out. He obsesses way too easily, especially when it comes to his projects.
CANON POINT: After Mystique breaks him out of jail. (Can't remember the issue number, sorry. My comics are all packed away in longboxes)
WHY HAS YOUR CHARACTER CAUGHT THE EYE OF THE COLLECTOR?: Dude. He can build anything. How cool is that?
