Dominic knows he looks good, and he definitely uses that to his advantage. An even 6’ tall, he often dresses to emphasize his frame - button down shirts, nice jeans, nicer jackets. The only time you really find him “slacking off” is when he’s to or from the gym, when he’s in shorts and a tee or tank, still all Nike or Adidas, of course. Dominic’s family always had the money to buy whatever clothes he wanted, and his style definitely reflects that - having mob connections had to pay off sometime, yes? Underneath all that, Dominic is definitely built, between being athletic and a were to boot, and unafraid to show it off. He likes to keep his blond hair on the long side, falling just short of his shoulders. It’s only been cut a few times in his life, the last time being when he started high school, and seeing pictures of him with short hair makes him look like an entirely different person. With hazel eyes that have just a touch of green to them, he’s been told he’s handsome, and Dominic agrees. Most of the time he remembers to shave, but given his mental state of late, sometimes that falls to the wayside. Most people don’t notice the small scar on his right hand - if examined closely, it’s a bite mark, and it’s the one that turned him. |
||
mental You call me strong, you call me weak But still your secrets I will keep You took for granted all the times I never let you down |

Dominic is, at the moment, an alpha male without much of a pack to speak of. Prior to his turning, he was a decent black witch with all the support in the world behind him - his girlfriend Keira, his best friend Ashton, along with his siblings. Dominic wasn’t always the ring leader, per se, but his voice was definitely heard among their little crew. Now? He feels as if he’s got a reason to be king of the pack, and yet, he doesn’t have anyone willing to follow him. His impulsiveness has led to a long string of not-so-great decisions and he’s aware that he’s dug his own grave, in letting Ashton bite him, in losing his magic, in letting Keira go. However, Dominic is also stubborn, determined, and selfish enough to stick with what he thinks are his best interests, to hell with whatever anyone tells him. He’s not the type to forgive and forget, and he’s not afraid to go that one step further if the situation calls for it. Yes, he’s killed - and no, he doesn’t regret that, either. Logically, he knows that he should, but at the same time, he can reason away his actions with the best of them. Now that the wolf has been added into the mix, Dominic is a lot more possessive than he was before, and he’s well aware of it. It doesn’t help his mate, Keira, is halfway across the country from him and her family wants her to have absolutely nothing to do with him. The longer Dominic is away from her, the more it eats away at his sanity, and he’s at the point now where he’s broken down. She’s the only one who gets the softer side of him, and when they were together, they balanced each other out, and worked really well together. Dominic is currently missing his other half, and because of that he’s tried to fill that hole with everything he can - gambling, drinking, long nights partying. At the end of the day, Dominic needs Keira, and he doesn’t like the feeling of needing anyone - and given how he left, who knows if she’d even consider taking him back. At this point, with his sanity on the line, he has to try. |

Dominic Agostino was born to Matteo and Eliana Agostino, the middle child of the family and born five minutes before his fraternal twin sister, Camilla. From the start he was easily one of the louder, more demanding members of the family, Camilla always following in his shadow. She was always his back up, no matter what he was doing, his silent supporter from day one. Their older brother, Dante, was always expected to follow in their father’s footsteps in the restaurant industry, and that took a lot of pressure off of Dominic. As a result, Dominic was often left to his own devices, and got into plenty of trouble all on his own. Being something of the ringleader amongst his siblings, it wasn’t rare to find either Camilla or Dante along with him, too. Magic ran on both sides of the Agostino family, and it was only natural that all three children started learning the ropes, so to speak, from a young age. The faint traces of demonic blood in him, from his mother’s side of the family, meant that it was easy for him to pick up blood magic, but it didn’t interest Dominic as much as black magic did. Whenever he could get his father’s attention away from his business, Dominic was forever asking Matteo questions: What’s this spell like? How can I manage to do this? It was probably more ruthlessness than anyone should have expected from a boy of Dominic’s age, but Matteo only smiled. Dante was a good witch, and more than capable of running the business, but Dominic was more interested in it than Dante was. And, as such, both of his parents worked with him in order to advance his magic. Having a father with heavy ties to both the mafia and the quiet supernatural community in New York City just became another ace up Dominic’s sleeve and the older he got, the more he learned to exploit that. When he wasn’t working on his magical abilities, Dominic was in all of the best schools, getting passable grades - could have been better, had he actually paid attention more in class - and, of course, getting attention from the women. He was terribly picky about who he dated, however, because he didn’t want just anyone. In fact, much of Dominic’s high school years were spent looking down at the girls he thought were “easy,” “boring,” “plain,” and a myriad of other high standards. He definitely fell into the “wrong” crowd - parties and drinking and the whole nine yards. And, whenever Dominic got in trouble, it wasn’t hard to make sure Daddy dearest got him out of it - if his own magic couldn’t do it for him, that was. A lot of the kids the Agostino twins spent most of their time with were other supernaturals, including Dominic’s best friend, Ashton. Ashton was 14 when he was first turned into a were coyote, and Dominic was there for the attack. It was a fight that could have been avoided if Ashton would have just stopped running his mouth, and it resulted in a rather nasty fight and a bite mark on the boy’s right arm. He was the first were Dominic had ever known, and Ashton told Dom everything about the change - or so Dom thought. Better senses and all that sounded cool, and while he never saw Ashton on the full moons, one night locked up seemed like a fair enough trade for all the other perks. He filed that information away for later, and didn’t think anything else could be wrong with his somewhat-douchebag best friend. It was through Ashton that Dominic ended up meeting Keira. She was also from a well-off family, also a born witch - and initially, she wanted nothing to do with Dominic. She didn’t want anything to do with anyone, actually, definitely putting up the snobbish bitch front so many girls their age did. Ashton never believed it, and he told Dominic not to, either. Dominic knew better than to take Ashton at his word, because Ashton was almost never right, and he set about trying to get to know Keira better. She wasn’t the kind to let anyone in easily, and Dominic did always love a challenge. It took him a year before she’d let him take her out on a proper date, and six months after that before she’d let him steal a kiss. Anyone else would have thrown their hands up and walked away, but Dominic was stubborn to his core, even now. Keira didn’t exactly approve of many of his friends, but she would still come out and hang with them sometimes, and whenever she did, Dominic made sure that he didn’t leave her side. The more he hung out with her, the more he got to know her, the more he liked what he saw. Keira didn’t have the greatest family life ever, taking care of an ailing mother, was dealing with a lot of emotional issues, and didn’t want to appear vulnerable to anyone, ever. And it was the first time Dominic actually cared about someone other than his family enough to try and take care of them. To put her needs above his own, and it was a remarkable step for him to take. Hell, when Keira got Camilla’s approval - something easier said than done, some days - Dominic knew he’d found something special. After a year and a half of back and forth, Dominic and Keira finally started dating, when Dominic was 18 years old. Around the same time, there was a new girl who started hanging around their friend circle, Savvy. Oh, sure, Dominic knew Savvy’s friend Michelle, who was kind of a bitch even for him to handle, and as for Savvy herself, well. He thought she was, well, ordinary. Nothing special to the girl at all and it wasn’t even like she fit in with them all at that well, definitely too goody-two-shoes for his taste. Seriously, who the hell wanted to dabble in white magic, anyway? Dominic didn’t see the point in defensive magic and in his mind, that was that. When Michelle landed herself in the hospital, he was not one of the ones who tried to check up on the girl and see if she was okay. He knew his friends could be dangerous, and the boy wasn’t a saint himself. Sometimes, when you played with fire, you got burned. Ashton tried to go visit, but that was because Ashton was hoping to get himself a piece of ass from the girl after it was all said and done. Thinking nothing of the incident, Dominic got on with the rest of his life. That is, until a few months later when Savvy showed up on his family’s doorstep and announced that, herp derp, Matteo Agostino was her biological father. It turned out that Savvy’s mother had worked at the restaurant his father owned and they’d had a one night stand, resulting in Savvy. The kid was never supposed to know who her father was, as per the arrangement made between Matteo and Karen Arcadia, along with Matteo footing the bill for Savvy’s education. Needless to say, this didn’t go over well with the Agostinos. Dominic wasn’t surprised by the fact that his father had an affair; he knew both his parents had over the years, it was just the society he was raised in. It was the fact that it resulted in a child and that he was now supposed to acknowledge her as his sister that he didn’t really get. Savvy might have wanted that warm and fuzzy family relationship, but Dominic didn’t. Maybe it was the demonic blood in him, but if his father wasn’t going to accept her into the fold, then Dominic didn’t see why he had to, either. He had one sister already, and that was his twin Camilla. Regardless, Dominic knew he had another sister, now, whether he liked it or not, and that meant Savvy was always going to be a part of his life. When Dominic was 22, his entire life got flipped upside down again. Until then, everything had been going well - he and Keira had been together for four years and were very much in love, he was progressing fast with his magic, and learning more about his father’s business.Camilla never returned home one night from going out to a friend’s house - not that it was a rare occurrence for her to stay overnight somewhere, but neither Dominic nor Dante had heard anything from their sister. Immediately, Dom knew something was up with his twin, and the call they got from the hospital at four in the morning confirmed it. Camilla had been raped, beaten, and left for dead, and she hadn’t been found by a passerby, it was likely she would have died. Needless to say, Dominic was fucking furious. Camilla, though she was a strong witch, had always been something a frail little thing and she wasn’t strong enough to fend off someone like that - and the thought that someone could do that to his twin and get away with it didn’t sit well with him. He wanted revenge, and sitting at Camilla’s bedside, he promised her that he’d get it. The wheels in his head were starting to turn; the police didn’t have any leads on the case, and in Dominic’s view they were just dragging their feet, and they didn’t want to help Camilla at all. Even Matteo’s mob connections weren’t doing much, which meant Dom was going to have to take matters into his own hands. His first stop was to talk to Ashton, his best friend, albeit also a drunk and a liar and a cheat, but still his best friend - and also a were. Ashton’s solution was simple. He’d help Dominic out, but in order for him to do any good, he needed the extra senses of a were. For Camilla, Dominic didn’t even think twice. Cue Big Mistake #1: Dominic allowed Ashton to bite him, thus turning him into a were. A wolf, to be exact. Though Dominic was experiencing migraines on and off from losing his abilities as a born witch, he didn’t realize or acknowledge that loss at the time. His abilities as a werewolf were more overwhelming, and in the moment they were exactly what he needed, or so he thought. Instead, he focused on tracking down Camilla’s rapists, and together he and Ashton brutally slaughtered the men, less than a week after Dominic had been bitten. He told Keira about it, of course, and cue Big Mistake #2: Before Dominic really realized that werewolves mate for life, he took Keira to bed with him one night. She was his girlfriend, and Dominic was madly in love with her, he didn’t see how this could be a problem. It was only after the deed was done, and Camilla was home recovering, that Dominic started to realize something was wrong. Ashton failed to warn him about the fact that he’d lose all the perks of being a born witch, and when Dominic asked if what he was feeling was normal, his friend’s reaction was to laugh and to tell him to get another beer. Keira tried to help him - and through her research, she learned what exactly it was that he’d lost. And when her family found out that her boyfriend was now a bitten were? Shit hit the fan. Dominic, ever the cocky asshole, then attempted to prove that he still had his magic, too - and the backlash from the spell he tried to cast had him laid up in bed for a week afterward. It then became apparent that, though he could manage lower-level spells, Dominic was nowhere near as talented as he once was. Matteo refused to work with Dominic on his magic anymore, and he was left to figure all this out on his own. In his father’s eyes, Dominic was now a huge disappointment, a failure. Dante was his business heir, but Dominic had the most magical talent in the family and because of his impulsiveness, he threw it all away in an instant. Camilla was the only who really understood what her twin had lost. She was dealing with a lot herself, of course, but she promised to be there for Dominic. After all, he’d given up something very dear to him in order to see her attackers brought to justice, and that was worth something. Though she wasn’t as good a witch as he’d been, she worked with him on his magic, slowly but surely, getting him back on the right track. The way she saw it, it was the only way she really had to pay Dominic back for what he’d done, no matter how many times he told her that he didn’t need her to do anything but get better. Meanwhile, Dominic’s turning was causing nothing but problems between him and Keira. Her family hated him and thought him dangerous - and he always had been, but now he had a hybrid form and a full moon to worry about, too. The wolf in him was making him even more and more possessive, and when it clicked that she was his mate, and not just his girlfriend? Keira was so not ready for that commitment, by any stretch of the imagination. It just led to more fights and more fights, and the alpha in Dominic did not know when to back down. More than once, Keira told him she was ending the relationship, and Dominic refused to let it happen like that. After one particularly bad blow out with Keira, Camilla talked Dominic into leaving her be for a few days, to let her cool down and they’d figure something out after that. It was the worst thing he could have done at the time, because once Ashton, good old womanizing Ashton, caught wind that Dominic and Keira might be on the outs, he swooped in for the kill, so to speak. He took Keira out, let her cry on his shoulder, and when she was good and drunk, he seduced her. When Dominic found out a week later, he didn’t know who to be more angry with first, Ashton or Keira. In the end, he ended up at Ashton’s apartment and beat the ever loving hell out of him. You just didn’t fuck with a werewolf’s mate like that - and Ashton claimed to be his best friend! If Ashton hadn’t turned tail and ran away, it was likely that Dominic might have killed him, and he wouldn’t have regretted a second of it, either. As it was, Dominic’s injuries from the fight were bad enough to land him in the hospital, even with the accelerated werewolf healing. Keira came to see him, and that just got him pissed all over again. When he demanded an answer for why she’d cheated on him, she’d said they’d been broken up, a claim Dominic outright denied. Keira claimed that if he couldn’t handle her confusion over things, and couldn’t keep the wolf inside him in check, then he couldn’t be with her at all. Dominic, speaking before without thinking, told her if that’s what she wanted, then they were done. Cue Big Mistake #3: Keira said fine, turned and walked right out of his hospital room. For the first few weeks, Dominic could convince himself that he didn’t need Keira in his life. It helped that he was injured and trying to recover from that, because it meant he was less likely to go after her. When he did finally try to get in touch, he realized that she’d not only changed her number, but had moved out of the city and didn’t leave a return address. Dominic was crushed. For a werewolf, it wasn’t as simple as moving on and finding someone knew, seeing that she was his mate and therefore the only one he was going to want in the history of ever. But if this was what Keira wanted, he’d try to respect her wishes. He’d take the hit, and he thought he could deal with the loneliness of being without his mate. For the first few months, Dominic could almost call himself successful. He tried to keep busy working in his father’s restaurant. He was also working on his magic, essentially relearning spells and finally acknowledging that he’d never be the witch he once was. Then, one night, in an attempt to cheer Dominic up, Dante decided to take his brother on a road trip to Atlantic City. There, sitting at a poker table, Dominic finally found something that made him feel almost alive again. Winning several grand that night helped a bunch too, even if Dante didn’t share the same luck. Whenever Dominic wasn’t supposed to be working, he could usually be found in one bar or another, getting into trouble. He’d hustle people out of their money anyway he could, betting on sports games, challenging people to a few hands of poker... you name it, Dominic did it. It wasn’t even like he could go out and find a new girlfriend - he was a mated werewolf, his fate was already sealed. All he could do now was take things day by day and hope the loneliness didn’t drive him to the brink of insanity. Since the Light of May. Dominic wasn’t surprised in the slightest by the Light of May. Coming from a family of born witches, turned into a werewolf, with a psychic half-sister and being demonic blooded... yeah. He’s curious to see how this all plays out, and will be sitting back to watch the current political climate with popcorn in hand. It hasn’t done much to change how Dominic lives from day to day, though he doesn’t necessarily wear his werewolf status proudly. If he had his choice, he’d go back to being a born witch, thank you very much. The summer of 2009 did bring about changes for Dominic, though. Dominic was struggling more and more with his sanity the longer he was away from Keira. His gambling was getting to the point when even Matteo knew how much money Dominic was losing. He spent more time out on the town than he did at work, and finally Matteo gave him an ultimatum: Dominic had to figure this shit out and get better, or otherwise the Agostinos were going to cut him off completely. Dominic didn’t see how he could do that without seeing Keira again. Camilla was the one who finally convinced him that this was what he needed to do, tired of seeing her twin put himself through hell just because he’d had a fight with his girlfriend. So, he swallowed his pride, packed up his car, and started to track Keira down. Her brother told him (albeit reluctantly) that she’d gone somewhere in Michigan, and that was a good place to start. His senses were good enough to tell him where to go, even if the trail had long gone cold. Dominic is currently on his way to Scarlet Oak, in search of his mate. And, hopefully, Keira will listen to him when he gets there. |

strengths, weaknesses, & skills If I go crazy then will you still call me Superman? If I'm alive and well will you be there holding my hand? |
||
Skills. Dominic is an excellent tracker, helped by the fact that he became a werewolf and not a were coyote like Ashton. He’s also decently lucky when it comes to gambling, and uses it to prolong his winning streak - which, of course, just means he feels the need to gamble even more. The mean poker face helps, too. Thanks to growing up in his father’s restaurant, Dominic is a decent cook when he puts his mind to it. Strengths.
Weaknesses.

bitten werewolf & learned witch I'll keep you by my side with my superhuman might Kryptonite |

Bitten were. All weres can turn humans with a bite. The bite must draw blood. If the were bites while still in human form, the bite must be deep - deep enough to scar and require stitches, or actually taking flesh. Once bitten, a person becomes a were. On the next full moon, they will change for the first time, and then be able to shift at will from there on out. A bitten were is not always the same species of who bit them - the only rule here is that it stays in the family. If you're bitten by a werewolf, your form will be something in the canine family. The animal one becomes usually syncs with your personality, as weres are often quite like their animal selves. More information about weres can be found over here. Black Magic. Now we're getting into the dangerous stuff. Black magic is to kill, to steal, to injure, to cause misfortune or destruction, or for personal gain without regard to harmful consequences to others. Just because you're practicing black magic doesn't make you a bad (or evil) person, however. It's all about how you use it, and why. Many simply dabble in it to be able to defend themselves if need be. But there are plenty of users out there who use it with much darker intentions. A lot of low level skills focus on simply making something good come your way. However, it is always at the expense of somebody else. Some witches believe black magic can only ethically be used in self defense. There is always a consequence of a failed black magic spell for the user. In lesser spells, this can simply be an annoyance - like a bad smell you can't get out of your home. The more powerful the spell, the bigger the backlash. Level 2: You get into more defensive or offensive magic. Defensive magic involves wards that cause a painful backlash against those who break them. Offensive is more along the lines of seeking to harm someone. Familiar. Dominic has a coral snake named Crowe. |
