Lilith's leaving hit Mara harder than she'd expected; she cancelled all her appointments for a few days and simply withdrew from the world. She read the journals on the 27th, knew what was happening to other people but was glad she seemed to be untouched; she didn't think she could handle something from either of her pasts showing up right now, no matter how attached to it she used to be.
She buried herself in biker bars, leather, chaos and risky encounters. Forgot herself and the world for awhile until she was ready to face it all again.
