i want to jump into a roleplay for the weekend. minimal planning. let's just pick the faces, decide on a setting, and go. looking for something with a bit of an age gap between two guys, with me playing the older half. possible settings/themes include: dystopias, hollywood sets, and slasher movies.

Pleasant day, one and all! I've a bit of a longshot craving, but I'm searching for a potential partner interested in a Pokémon RP, some lighthearted escapism that shares the anime's generally lighthearted and highspirited vibe. Short-term and long-term lines are doable, and romance is also an option (a preferred one, at that). I like to ret-con the setting so characters must be 18 years old before they can become a Pokémon trainer/Coordinator/whatever. All of the info is on this post, with my general info viewable in my IJ.

Probably the longest shot ever, but I'm looking for a Star Wars New Canon/Extended Universe crossover. It's not necessary to read the EU books, because it'll be mostly new canon/new trilogy based. I would love to write Jaina Solo against Poe Dameron. Jaina is Han and Leia's daughter in the EU and I think she would have been a great part of the New Canon, and I have plenty ideas to make it work. I also have a bio for Jaina based on her Extended Universe life story but also fitting into the New Canon that I will be happy to share. There is so much we can do here, so I'd love a partner who is familiar with the Star Wars lore.

Premise Governor Denning of Hawaii is simply baffled by the influx of people from all over time and space. Even more baffling is the fact that no one can seem to leave the Hawaiian islands at all. It doesn't seem to make any sense but when someone swims out far enough, it's like there is a barrier around all of the islands. Paradise has suddenly become a prison. How will everyone get by? Even stranger still, planes can fly in and drop off supplies and such. And no one knows what happens to them after that.
New faces are popping up all over, and as beautiful as Hawaii is, sometimes the locals aren't so friendly. Many of them consider the land to be sacred and want newcomers to stay away. And what is with these new people anyway? Some of them just aren't normal...
The governor enlisted the 5-0 taskforce to be responsible for the newcomers, getting them settled in and helping them become productive members of the community. Some will be more helpful than others. Governor Denning purchased an apartment building in the Waikiki neighborhood on O'ahu so everyone has a place to stay, while the matter is sorted.
Investigations into what caused this phenomena are ongoing. But it looks like we've got to try to be one big Ohana.
