At first glance, one might consider Sally-Anne to be your run of the mill, stereotypical popular girl, but that is honestly the furthest thing from the truth. True, she's ambitious in her own ways, but only because she wants to make the most of herself and get somewhere in life. After all, if she has some sort of prestige and control, she can use that for a good cause. She makes friends easily where ever she goes, mostly because she's warm, friendly, and conversational. She's not one to judge or refuse to talk to you because you're considered any sort of negative stereotype. All of those things don't mean anything to her. If you're a good person at the end of the day, that's all that truly matters.
She loves to be active, participating in yoga, Quidditch, and gymnastics whenever she has a free moment. But that doesn’t mean she’s incapable of being a lazy lump. If she doesn’t have somewhere to go or be, she’s going to take that opportunity, opting for her nerdy glasses and a sweatshirt, because comfort is far better than style, in her opinion! And cuddling. Cuddling is the absolute best.
Sally-Anne is also much more than a pretty face, meaning there’s definitely a brain underneath it all, especially when it comes to emotional intelligence. She tends to remain calm in stressful situations, and collected in the face of adversity. She's resourceful, always coming up with quick and clever solutions to problems around her, and has a knack for stopping fights before they start, or managing to break them up before they go too far. She's good at finding small, but ingenious ways to come to complex agreements, and though she could probably use this skill in something like politics in the future, she'd rather just use it when pertinent and in the moment. She's the type to give more than she gets, spending hours doing things for others such as baking cookies for holidays to give to everyone in school or workers at the community. She volunteers a large amount of her time, and others tend to be on her mind more than she does.
She's the person who will let you yell at her and not fight back, if that's what you need. She tries to be the bigger person, and not just so she can rub it in your face, but because honestly, that's just the type of person she is. Though she does her limits, they're just very hard to reach. But the moment you hurt or disrespect someone she cares about or loves for no reason other than to simply hurt them, then she can't hold her tongue. Though she won't start screaming or throwing punches, she does has an uncanny ability to get under your skin and cut you down, using only her words. Finally, she's willing to make the hard decisions, and sacrifices, for the good of others. Even though she's young, she's very grown up in a lot of ways due to her history and realizes sometimes making the right decisions hurts like hell.
She is determined to make sure those in her life find their way, even if it comes at a cost to herself. It's a difficult life to lead, and sometimes it's a bit detrimental to her, always thinking about everyone else. But to be rather honest, that's a personality flaw she has yet to truly address. All in all though, she's bubbly, cute, and a rather simple individual. And well, on rare occasion when the atmosphere is playful and comfortable, she even manages to be sassy. She enjoys the small things in life, and tries her hardest not too take things too seriously because that would ruin it! After all, life is short and she wants to make the most out of it, in any way she can.

Sally-Anne wasn't born into the most wealthy family, but at least they were loving, and at the end of the day they tried their hardest to provide what they could. Her mother, Magda, worked as a Seamstress, and her father, Hershel, worked in a factory. It wasn't exactly a planned pregnancy, as they both wanted to be in a better place financially before having a child, but they weren't going to complain about it either.
At least, not for the first few years. It had been young love, and it lasted until Sally-Anne was about five. Eventually, the mounting bills and overtime became far too much for Hershel to stick around, and he abandoned both his young daughter, as well as his struggling wife. It was devastating for both, if only because at such a young age, she had to question what she did wrong. But her mother had always been a great supporter, and always encouraged her to see past the darkness and into something better. Perhaps it was better to see her father's true colors now, after all, and they had each other. They'd figure everything else out.
Unfortunately, in order to figure those things out, it meant Magda worked three jobs, and was really only home to see her daughter's on Sundays. During the rest of the time, she went to Muggle school, and was watched by a family friend. It was a lonely existence in a lot of ways, watching her mother struggle, but she knew fierce love from her, if only because that was the only thing that would keep her working so hard for her child.
When Sally-Anne turned 8, that was when their lives really changed. Her mother met Gregory at one of her serving jobs, and after several dates, she brought him home to meet her daughter. He was the father she always wished she had. Loving, compassionate, and honestly, he made a decent living. He wasn't rolling in the money or anything, but enough that when her mother eventually married him, they had a small, two bedroom flat, and Sally-Anne no longer had to wear second hand clothes. They had little vacations, they went to the park, they bonded... it was wonderful. For the first time in her life, she knew what it was like to really have a family.
But the only thing that could have thrown a wrench into it all, was a few days before Sally-Anne's 10th birthday when she displayed, albeit rather late, her first signs of magic. She was at the park and wanted a pretty doll, and her step father and mother both told her no, but she didn't care. Soon, as they were walking home, they noticed the doll in their daughter's arms. It had just... appeared. They didn't think anything of it, until several days later when she was playing and she made the doll levitate. Instead of completely freaking out, they tried to keep their calm, and soon after, her letter arrived, explaining what was going on.
Of course, they were supportive, regardless of Sally-Anne's original terror.
Going to Hogwarts was like being thrust into a fairy tale, but one she was more than excited to live. At the beginning, she was sorted into Hufflepuff, and instantly began to make friends. She was a kind soul, always sweet, always giving, even when those did not provide the same in return. She got involved in clubs, gymnastics, and developed an interest in Quidditch. Her grades were... good, but really, it was her people skills that thrived.
Of course, she went to school during the time of Harry Potter, but she was really a background Human being. Her first year wasn't really affected by much, and her second year, while she was unnerved by what was going on, and was afraid that whatever lurked the halls would eventually get her too, she was more caught up in the idea that Hogwarts might actually be closed!
During her third year, the year that Sirius Black seemed to be at large, she tried to ignore the media, if only because the name didn't mean much to her. Of course, her classmates tried to explain, but she was more interested in trying to make the Hufflepuff Quidditch team. Her dream didn't pan out, but she figured she'd just continue to try again, instead throwing herself into other activities, just trying to stay busy, always making friends and being kind.
Her forth year though was when everything changed. Well that, and her fifth year. For one, it was exciting to have a Hufflepuff Champion, but seeing his dead body show back up on the field broke something inside of her. She was a muggleborn, and while she had no real reason to believe anything that Harry Potter was saying, something just made her trust him. After all, why would he lie? Going back home, she was on edge, even though her parents didn't notice nor quite understand.
But it wasn't until her sixth year, or at least, her summer going into her seventh year, that things truly changed. Muggleborns were not a particularly excepted breed of magical folk by the Wizarding community, and Sally-Anne made the difficult decision to leave her home. Unfortunately, Snatchers came looking, and her father made the terrible mistake of trying to take them on, which ended in a rather gristly death. It absolutely destroyed her mother, and for the next her, she was hospitalized as Sally-Anne just tried to stay off the grid. It was pathetic, but she didn't return for the battle, she didn't return for any of it, until it was over. She hated feeling so weak and she wanted to come back, but instead, she had the responsibility of caring for her ailing mother.
The muggle doctor's said it was cancer, an aggressive form, but part of Sally-Anne wondered if it was her fault. If her mother had fallen so ill because of the death of her step father, the one man her mother had truly felt happiness with. While Magda wasted away in a hospital bed, Sally-Anne finished her last year of school, post school, and joined training as a MediWitch in hopes she would learn a cure for her mother's disease before her time on the earth was up. Unfortunately, that did not happen, and Madga passed away during the Fall of 2001.
Since then, Sally-Anne has tried to maintain her positive, bright attitude, if only because if she does anything else, she might fall apart. She is buried neck deep in her training, but she hasn't found it in herself to mind, because it keeps her busy, and her mind away from the fact she feels a bit isolated. She's done her best to try to maintain friendships, but with her absence during her final year, and taking care of her mother, relationships have broken down. She's determined to make it work though, and determined to bring her life back together.
She was actually going into a meeting with the head of her program to discuss her MediWitch progress, when she woke up in this.. train station she did not recognize..

{this is a section that does not necessarily need to be completed at time of application. This is a place for you to flesh out your character's life
after
the moment they're taken from. For example, if you are applying for Sirius Black, and are bringing him in from the night James and Lily died, this is where you would put all of the information about what happened to him
after
that point.}
