Basic Information Full Name: Millicent Violetta Blustrode Nickname: Milly (reluctantly so), Mills Age // Birthdate: November 13th 1980 Bloodline: Half-Blood; but thought to be Pureblood
Hogwarts House: Slytherin Hogwarts Years: 8th Wand: Hickory, Dragon Heartstring, 13", Springy. It is somewhat darkly colored and is roughly carved. Appearance While she has never been one of the most attractive of the Slytherin compared to many of the girls in her year, Millicent has since learned to make it work for her. Though there is part of her that still wishes at times she could be like them, and so tries these days to be more feminine. Employing charms and other such things to help doesn't hurt either. Though if it comes up, she has a habit of going back to her old ways of not caring for a little while.
She keeps her black hair rather long and often down unless she is hard at work on something. Or if she is about to partake in more physical activity like a fight. She is tall (5'9) and curvy, though more so then most of the girls with a larger frame, ample well..everything that she has learned to live with.
General:
PB: Mia Tyler
Personal General: Millicent an extreamly physical person. When she speaks, she gestures to make up for her natural reticence, and uses physical means to end an argument whenever necessary. It is only around higher-ranking Slytherins (of which there are many, for Millicent is sadly low on the food chain) that she restrains herself, but she does not obey orders without thinking, either.
Although careful not to make her superiors angry, she does not do well in polite social situations and will often take pent-up energy or annoyance out on the nearest person that is not a Slytherin. She gets along far better with boys than girls, unless they take an interest in her - which, admittedly, does not happen very often, though she has often been the brunt of jokes concerning a torrid affair with either Crabbe or Goyle (or both).
Strengths:Speaks her Mind, Stubborn, Does what she can to survive, loyal to a fault Weaknesses:Social Graces, Can be manipulated easily by people she 'trusts', Violent Hobbies: Potions, Herbology, Poisons, Dragons, Quidditch Personality in 5 words: She's all bark and bite. List three random facts about your character: 1. Tried out for the Slytherin Quidditch team, was teased about it endlessly until she stopped trying. 2. Has tried brewing up Amortentia a few times on a whim. It never has a scent. 3. Millicent actually loves to sing and has a lovely voice.
Social life: Millicent only has really made friends with other Slytherins and anyone who is of a pure blooded family that are not blood traitors up until now.
Private life:When she isn't being pulled by others. Millicent is actually rather studious, having a love for Potions and Herbology. She can also be incredably sweet to animals having a love for them that has been around since she was young. Though it is a side that others rarely get to see, even her other housemates.
Achievements: Was part of the Inquisatoral Squad in her 5th year.
History Mother:Hesta Ashdown (Birth Mother), Honoria (nee Yaxley)(Has since gone back to maiden name) Father: Corvus Bulstrode Siblings: Darin Yaxley Extended Family: None though she's 'pureblooded' so there is room for ties here! Childhood: About a year before Millicent was born, her wizard father fell in love with a beautiful Muggleborn, much to his family's disgust. He was not immediately disowned, though it was a near thing; only his subsequent mistreatment of her caused his parents to hold him in any regard. An illegal love potion in her drink at breakfast on the morning before they were to leave Hogwarts for the last time led to a heated snogging session on the train back, and their eventual marriage -- all under the influence of potions. Her parents, of course, were ecstatic that their daughter was marrying such a nice boy, completely oblivious to his cunning. It was when Millicent was born that his family turned their backs on him. Keeping a Muggleborn as a pet was all well and good, a false marriage could perhaps be accepted if used to the right ends, but actually having the heir to their name a half-blood was another thing entirely. Under their scorn, Millicent's father grew determined that if the marriage was despised, it should at least be real and loving. He began to wean his beloved off of the potion, with disastrous results.
Millicent's mother came to her senses one day to find herself in a marriage she had not technically agreed to, and to find that her husband was not at all like what she had thought. For one thing, she now found the burliness that she had so admired in her poisoned state ugly, and she could not find it in herself to love him at all, much less her daughter. She fled back to her parent's house and arranged a divorce, leaving Millicent (not quite one year old) to her father's tender mercies. His technique towards dealing with her blood status and the rumors surrounding his marriage and divorce was simple denial. Being the Millicent was so young, it was easy to make her believe the lies as well and tell her just what people would want to hear. Though Millicent succeeded on some levels (she became excellent at evading questions and telling half-truths) she did not get enough of her mother's poise and good looks to ever pass for a stereotypical pureblood heiress, and her boyish behavior due to her father's ignorance around raising children did not help her at all.
He soon married again, this time to a pureblood woman of questionable taste. She had very little to inherit, but served as a sort of cover for this branch of the Bulstrode family; by giving the appearance of being in a happy, genuine marriage a great deal of the rumors were quashed. She did not take well to Millicent, however, and so began the series of Millicent's pets. First she was given a toad, at the age of seven. Her stepmother obviously considered it an appropriate gift for a big-boned, less-than-attractive young girl, but Millicent was disgusted with it and soon set it free in the backyard. Her second gift was a rat, which Millicent despised almost as much as her stepmother, though thankfully the animal did not snap at her or even speak at all. When the rat died (Millicent was ten), she was left without a pet until she received her Hogwarts letter, at which point she was able to convince her father to get her a cat. She picked out a beautiful, sleek black one with a nasty disposition and a tendency to lash out at the first sign of what she considered a threat -- which meant, of course, that she and Millicent got on beautifully. Her father, after the Marriage did also what he could to get back into the good graces of his parents, using his knowledge of potions herbs to start up a thriving business for those who lacked the skills at making such. Millicent spent much time with her father while he worked, which is where her own love for making potions came from.
Hogwarts and After: The cat accompanied Millicent to Hogwarts and has been there with her ever since, though she is getting on in years. Upon entering Hogwarts and being sorted into Slytherin was a blessing to her father and further proof that she was 'pure-blooded' as the family wished to prove. Millicent was pushed to become close to the other pure blooded Students by her family and did so in the best way she knew how, by physical means. Where Draco had Crabb and Goyle as muscle, the girls had Millicent who got her hands dirty for them. In her Fifth year, being named to join the Inquisitorial Squad formed by the headmistress was a great honor to her family for as long as it lasted.
When the Dark Lord rose a second time, her father immediately joined His ranks. At the time she thought it very wise of him as she saw Lord Voldemoret as the rising power. When the Slytherins where evacuated, she was on of the Slytherins who did return to fight against the school, being dragged back by her father who was now a Death Eater. She does not remember much of it, other then attempting to shield her father at one point from a simple spell to knock him out only to wake a few days later in St. Mungos to find he had been killed. When questioned about her return, Millicent said she had been forced back by the Death Eaters (which was at least half true) to fight which kept her from seeming like a sympathizer to the Death Eaters by most though there are some who believe this is a full blown lie. In her fathers will, she was named the Heir to the Bulstrode name and holdings from their Potions business. Upon coming home she found that her Stepmother had left upon finding out she was gaining no money or standing from his death. So she has returned to Hogwarts to finish schooling and reopen her fathers business upon finishing.
Sample (Warded to Self) You would think that after everything that happened last year. I could just come back and finish things up with out any issue. We are pretty much adults now right? But once again I find things having been tossed at my hair while I am trying to study and things whispered behind my back about my looks. If I didn't want to finish here so damn badly I would have put their face into my cauldron. Show them what a real hag can do...
