How would you embarrass yourself? Because she turned you down? If she does then she's kind of stupid, but then again that's just my opinion.
Maybe... you could try to kiss her again? Or at least ask her if she wants too next time you're alone hanging out? If she says no then you kind of have your answer, if she says yes well... then that's something totally different.
