He's useful because if anyone tried to come near me with ill intent, my two hundred pound dog would tear their face off. He is also very warm in the winter time. I almost don't need blankets! Or a pillow, really...

Also, regardless of what I say I have a feeling you're going to refute my claims of why I believe dogs are awesome and useful.

And really, that only leads to one conclusion.
