Personality: Snarky and sometimes bitchy to people she doesn't know, Melanie is actually very excitable and happy when she's with someone she likes or trusts. She has a bit of an obsessive personality, and when she finds something or someone she feels she connects with, it's all she can think about. She's become very depressed with her lonliness, and desperately wants true love with someone she knows understands her. When Mel was 18, she began dating a girl named Elise, who she had thought the world of. Elise essentially used her though, professing love and devotion, but dumping her pretty much as soon as she'd had a chance to do every sexual thing she'd wanted to her. Mel fell into a deep, brooding depression that didn't seem to crack at all until she heard "Coming Down", a Gravedancer song that Rachelle Martin had written. Feeling like the lyrics described her perfectly, she eagerly looked up anything else Rachelle had written, and came across her A Woman Scorned project. As of then? She was HOOKED. She felt as though almost every song the woman had written spoke directly TO her, like she'd found someone else who'd suffered the way she had. She began to collect anything she could find that dealt with her new 'hero': anything she'd recorded with Suicide Messiah. The old bootlegs with Van Warren. The demos with Gravedancer and A Woman Scorned. Any magazines she was quoted or shown in. Any t-shirts for any projects she'd done. Some thought she was beginning to be obsessive, but Melanie didn't see it that way. In her mind, she'd found a beautiful, amazing woman who would understand her pain... someone she could admire AND love. She eagerly learned the words to every song, and began going to any concert she could get tickets to. When she discovered Rachelle.... it felt like Melanie wasn't alone in the world anymore.
