I wouldn't worry much about needing a reason for her to stay past that first entrance into the community. Once she gets there, Linc or Clem would find her quick! Were scent and all, plus talk of someone new in the settlement spreads quickly lol.

Once one of them knows....well okay her staying past THAT point is all about drama and screaming at each other but still!
