Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Been looking at houses the past couple of months and trying to imagine what the garden will look like when covered in bits of leaves and winter frost has been surprisingly more difficult than I thought. Hard to imagine anything not dead and grey at the moment.

Also, anyone know of a good place to get a dog? I'm thinking a golden retriever, or a nice Lab. Or any dog not a small on... But it has to be friendly with my bunny.

[Warded to Helen]
Hey, the offer for that fighting lesson still available?

I can do late afternoon or Monday. My schedule is pretty flexible, it just depends how tired you'll be after house hunting.

I'm learning this. Plus my flat was purchased for me: I just threw money at the realtor and told them what I wanted.

Think you just found your own reason for why this is harder. Usually, having others do things for you is generally an issue.

Definitely. Trying to do things right, you know? Can't just throw money at everything and expect it to turn out alright, especially with a baby.

Your imagination is linked to the quidditch tactics board I am sure of it ;) Do you need help house hunting? I have a few days off coming up. Also there is a farm not too far from mine that I am sure has a sign up about puppies, I would have to check on the breed though.

I do want high walls in the garden so I can fly about a bit. Just basic hovering and the like. We've been really looking around Dorset, though, lots of land! I wouldn't mind a Moor but it's too far from Puddlemere.

I'm sure Katie wouldn't say no to a bit of company. We can maybe look at puppies after.

[info]healer_hands
2018-01-13 10:10 pm UTC (link)
That sounds doable. I will have a scout around and send Katie an owl to see if there is anything specific she wants too. Oh and I'm sure the real reason you want walls you can hover behind is so that when Little Wood is old enough you can teach him to fly just like this daddy.

I will check what breed they are, or at least ask Oscar if he knows.

[Warded to Oliver]
How is everything else? Of course you know I mean you and Katie.

Great really! House hunting is stressful but other than that things are going well... I was a bit unsure of all this at first but now I can't imagine anything else.

I have no doubt of that! He will be amazing on a broom, I am sure.

Warded to Oliver
Good! House hunting is hard work, why do you think I still live with my brother? I'm so glad, you deserve to be happy Olls. You know I am only an owl away if you need anything, well that or you are keyed into my wards just come over. I will send you both by latest work schedule soon, I have more time now the training is finally finished.

Are you up for me helping to house hunt later this week? I have a few days off since my training is officially finished.

He’s doing something! More often than not it’s during the middle of the night too.

[Warded to Alicia]

Yes! Oh hell, yes.

You wouldn’t think it but shopping with a near limitless budget is exhausting. That and I’ve been more than happy with everything we’ve looked at so far. I’m going from sharing a box room with Angie to looking at houses with acres of land and spare bedrooms and yeah... I’m not sure I’m much use to the guy who’s used to having whatever he likes.

Try a warming charm to you lower back before you go to sleep, may help settle him.

[Warded to Katie]
Yay shopping trip! Do you think Olls can handle us both shopping - even if it is for a house?

I bet it is, Oliver is very particular, he always has been, remember those quidditch plays he made us do! You just need to remember that you will be living there too, maybe try sitting down of writing a list of what you do and don't want, get Olls to do one too. That way we can look for common ground between them?

Oh hell, Ali, I’m already sweating my bits off at night as it is!

[Alicia]

He’ll be fine.

In fact, he’ll probably be glad to have your input. I’m not sure we need lists though. When I said I was happy with everything so far I meant it. I just want a home, somewhere nice. All the stuff that Wood wants is just the icing on the cake for me. Plus, it’s his money...

[info]thebestweasley

Of course. Just because they're in a shelter doesn't mean there's something wrong with them. Most are there because of overpopulation or bad owners. And they're the most loyal, loving animals because you'd be saving them from a tight spot, mate.

Yeah that's a good point, mate, most people don't deserve animals. What's a good family breed? We want the pup to be around when Mason is born.

Real poodles, mate. Not toy poodles. Completely different breed.

And all the above mentioned are pretty high energy, especially labs, retrievers and beagles.

[Oliver]
That's a long time to have a name, Ollie.

I... never had one. Guess my input wasn't needed though. Speaking of which, I should probably let you know, I found out I have a daughter.

Real poodles are the most intelligent of all the dog breeds, and the most protective and family friendly. Beagles really aren't lazy at all, it's people who make them lazy. And honestly, are you going to trust what you've heard, or your mate who has worked with animals his entire life?

[Oliver]
Yeah.

Yeah, I do. I found out last Sunday. She's about three and a half.

I had an on again off again thing with Louise Parkinson.. Morgana Duke, whatever you feel like referring to her as.

When I got hurt in Romania, she came to see me. We you know, like always. And then she disappeared.

Until I saw her last Sunday with my daughter.

Her name's Kaida.

It just doesn't feel like a congrats moment. I didn't even know my child existed for over three years.

[Oliver]
It's not really all that bothering me, mate.

I stumbled upon them, which makes me wonder, if I hadn't, would she ever have told me? Would I have known my own daughter? And more than that, I lost so much time...

What did I do to make her not tell me, you know?
