I'm not in this world to live up to your expectations

An individual caught between two extremes, Pip is either particularly quiet and focused or boisterous and often quite animated. Overall, they are quite friendly, outgoing and confident. They're willing to speak to anyone and give anyone a chance no matter their walk of life or appearance. Pip could be described as dark and mysterious. Often wearing black jeans and their well worn leather jacket or hoodie. Their dark hair is cropped, a long fade on the sides, and what they call "moppy" on top. Depending on how their feeling, it is often seen tousled and pushed up in a windswept way, or flopped down over their blue-grey eyes. Their piercings and tattoos are what most would notable as it seems they are slowly running out of canvas on themselves and now are working on others. Their ink begins low on the side of their neck and crawls down both arms, her torso and back. There is some space still available, but it's coming at bit of a premium. They are long, lanky and thin, at times seeming as they have too much extremities to know what to do with them. Their fingers seem equally long and sport filed down nails nearly to the quick and, that are either painted black or not at all. They wear a single gold band on their left index finger, but that is often removed and placed on a chain about their neck while working.

HISTORY

The first tattoo Pip got was when they were fifteen. It was on their birthday and their older sister posed as their guardian and signed the papers to get it done. Pip wore long sleeves for a week in the blazing Florida heat until their mother insisted the shirt come off. Runs with Wild Horses became a bit of a moniker for the rest of their life. There wasn’t anything that was going to stop them. It was safe to say, their parent’s didn’t approve but, there wasn’t anything to do to change it. It was sunk into their skin and it began to feel like their outside was looking more and more like their insides. They were named for their grandfather and they liked that. Though Phillipa was clearly a woman’s name, and their parents still called them Pippa, the idea that they were named for a man and somehow managed to end up in the in-between. And they were okay living the rest of their lives that way. They went to college and did graduate but struggled to find a job in graphic design. It wasn’t until they were getting yet another tattoo on their birthday that it hit them that what they should be doing was right under their nose. It took years. And they were an absolute grind. Pip loved every minute of it and enjoyed seeing the faces of some of their most grizzled customers looking surprised when they immerged from their workstation to greet them for consultations, and even more so loved the look on their faces when they showed off their sketches of what they had in mind. Old Curiosity Tattoo was what was born after a couple years of working in shops through Florida. Pip had seen the best and the worst in the business, but finally felt after working fifteen years at other shops, it was time they struck out on their own. Known in the area of to have some of the lightest hands, there may be times when you don’t even know the needle is hitting your skin. But guaranteed you’d walk away with something incredible.
