I have a freezer full of ice cream, two dogs who have been bribed with treats and are snoring at my feet, the latest copies of Arithmancy Quarterly and Which Ward and a blanket.

The England match will be on the wireless shortly and life is perfection. Even the laundry is taking care of itself.

I just wish that what was meant to be a fantastic day wasn't marred by the selfish and cowardly actions of one individual who desecrated a memorial to the courage of those witches and wizards who lost their lives in the Wars.

Whoever it was should be ashamed of themselves - I'm ashamed of them to be frank.
