Yet you refuse to read stories on my lap.
It is only a matter of practicality. Between August and Eli their moments rub off on me. If I were on your lap or next to you, I'd have to stretch and strain my neck. Whereas, on my lap you can hold the book high enough for us to both read. There's also the fact that I'd harm you if I sat on your lap.
That you find me annoying is beyond me.
