Desired PB: Shay Mitchell

What will your character's attitude be towards magic generally?
Erin is a fan of magic. Not so enthusiastically that if she had her own magic she would be using it left and right, nor does she think magic should be abused. However, knowing that there are Shadowkind out there, and artifacts and people who can weild magic out there to help protect against such vicious, violent creatures? She's definitely for that.

Erin would never say she was jealous of magical users, though. She finds its a great responsibility and she has a healthy dose of respect for the kind of pressure that puts on the Arcanist families. She, of course, wouldn't mind having an artifact or something to help protect her against some of the Shadowkind that are a bit less susceptible to death from weaponry or normal, human things that Protectors can do, but she's also glad she isn't one of the ones responsible for that sort of thing.

Erin also thinks that having Protectors around is good for the Arcanists. Although in her lifetime she hasn't heard of any going off the deep end, with family disputes and whatnot, Erin is sure there have been a few bad seeds along the way and that some Arcanists would use their abilities for less-than-ideal purposes. She's glad that Protectors are in place to keep that from happening, or to stop it if it does.
Will they or do they play well with others?
Erin is friendly enough. She has her father's attitude, and takes what she does very seriously. She's calm in nature, often very logical and though she is far more compassion and friendly than her own father, she can be every bit of a 'hellraiser' as well. She is passionate about a lot of things and though she values her family and friendships more than she values being right, she will always voice her opinion.

Erin is likely to get along well with most of the families, and other Protectors. She's a nice person under it all, and likes to be around people who share her similar goals and values. It's not a pre-requisite to be her friend, and she enjoys a good debate as much as the next person. Finding new viewpoints and having her outlooks change excites her, and she is a very go-with-the-flow sort of person when it comes to every day things.
What is their attitude towards the other families after ‘the incident’?
Erin was quite young when the kidnapping occured. Given the fact that she is close to the same age as many of the younger siblings to the new current Heads, she was just five years old when the Arcanists children were kidnapped and she did not yet know about that world. She lived with her mother until she was nearly seven, and it wasn't until her father took her in that she knew anything about the Arcanists, Shadowkind, or Hunters.

Of course, that doesn't mean she never heard of it. During her training, when the incident was brought up and she learned what happened, she felt immense sympathy for the other Arcanist children who had been involved in that. She could imagine how terrifying it must have been to be kidnapped, and though she may personally agree that there had to have been someone on the inside feeding the Hunters information that led to such a wide-scale kidnapping, she is not one to blindly throw any person under the bus without the proper proof to back it up.
If you are not playing an arcanist, how did they react to their training/upbringing?
Erin grew up with her mom for the first six years of her life. She knew nothing of the Shadowkind or magic or anything. She had a babysitter who read her Harry Potter sometimes and Erin used to think of how cool it would be to have powers like that, but didn't think anything more about it. Her mother was wildly neglectful, and when Erin was six her father, Alistair Kerr of the Arcane Protectors, saw what was happening he quickly swooped her up. Within a very short period of time, Erin learned all about the Shadowkind, the Leopold Hunters, the Arcane Protectors, and the Arcanists. She got a crash course in all things mythical and magical that she never knew existed in the whole near two years before she started training.

So by the time she did start training, she was excited. She knew of her father's reputation almost immediately and wanted to live up to it. He gave her a whole new life, one with much more love and attention than she had had in the first six years of her existence, and she wanted to show him how much she loved him, too. She wanted to make him proud. So she took to training like a fish takes to water - she did her best, excelled, and enjoyed every minute of it. She wanted to be just like Alistair, and while she wasn't nearly as much of a troublemaker and quite a bit more friendly than he had ever been, she excelled in training and finished top of her class at graduation.

Field work was certainly her first choice, but she'd only been able to do much field work for two years before the heads of all the Arcanists families disappeared. She hadn't seen many of her friends or her father in all that time, and though she wished she had been called back from her assignment on better circumstances, Erin is incredibly excited to embark on this new chapter and help the Arcanist families as best she can.
Describe your character in five words.
    Dedicated. Passionate. Empathetic. Calm. Logical.
Where would you like to see your character go within the game/what plot points would you wish to play out?
I'd like to see Erin have some difficulties coming back from field work and getting into the slower nature of Manor Security and protecting. She's a lot like her father, but wants to prove herself more than anything so I think it'd be fun to give her some plot points to help let her shine, but also have her fail a few times. I'd love to see her work on interpersonal relationships with her family and friends and really get into being an Arcane Protector in the more diverse sense of it's hierarchy, as opposed to being just a Field agent.
If you could recommend or create one over arching plot for the game, what would it be?
GRL I'M A MOD I DONE DO THIS ALL THE TIME SHH MY PLOTS ARE SECRET.
Have you read the necessary background and history for the head of the family or domain your character will be a part of?
    Of course.
