Welcome! I realize that this is rather sparse for a character journal, but I think I cover my bases. Here are the basics:
  • I'm over 18. You should be too.
  • I will play in any form: gdocs, threading, AIM, and finally, email.
  • I've been playing for several years, primarily in the Harry Potter fandom.
  • I prefer one-on-one PSLs, though I might consider a small group PSL with the right writers. I don't do well in large storylines--I lose interest quickly unless I bond with the writers in the SL.
  • I use AIM and email for plotting, as well as a vehicle for getting to know who I'm writing with. I write best when I feel comfortable talking to you.
  • I also want you to feel comfortable talking to me--so if you're not into something, or you're losing interest, let me know. We can figure it out together! It's difficult to do that if you disappear.
  • Please don't be rude. If you don't like something I propose, don't just delete it and not respond. Just say "no thank you!" You don't owe me an explanation, but common courtesy will always be very appreciated.
  • I prefer writing femmeslash. I will occasionally write het. I will almost never write slash(except for Renly/Loras, basically).
  • I will match what you write. If you give me one-liners, I likely will have a hard time mustering up a good response. Certainly, just like the ebb and flow of any written work, there will be variation in responses. However, if you don't give me anything to work with, I'm not going to godmod your character to do something. I'm happiest writing a few paragraphs(2-4) with dialogue.
  • My writing interests are:
    • Harry Potter(Ginny Weasley, primarily. Will consider writing others.)
    • Game of Thrones(Arya Stark, Renly Baratheon, Asha Greyjoy, Margaery Tyrell)
    • Kushiel's Legacy(Melisandre, Nicola L'Envers)
    • The Hunger Games(Particularly book 1 and themes of book 2 & 3)(Katniss)
    • Video games(specifically Dragon Age: Origins, Final Fantasy VI, VIII, and IX, or other RPGs)
    • Stressful psychological situations(PTSD, major depression, anxiety, etc) being handled realistically
    • Dystopic worlds
    • Shakespeare
    • "Classic" lit(ie: Moby-Dick, Les Mis, Phantom)
    • Mythology
    • The supernatural living among humans(either imbrued with a "special power" or werewolves. Not vampires)
    • Unlikely allies(Brawn and brains, as a stereotypical example).
    • Complex sexual relationships, especially a poly line or a BDSM line.
  • Plot before smut!
  • Samples on request.
