reagan blair kennedyAfter having six sons, Connor and Fiona Lovett felt that their family was complete and that their legacy would surely go on forever. No one had expected serendipity to toss another child their way thirteen years later, nor had they expected the tiny shrieking infant, born five weeks early, to be a girl.
Reagan grew up being treasured and adored by her family to the point of nearly being suffocated by them. She'd started her unpredictable and rebellious behavior, before she'd even reached her teens. Though, once her teenage years had rolled around, she'd truly become the epitome of a bad girl. She was the girl that your mama warned you about. Even with her reckless behavior, she managed to earn high marks in school and graduate in the top 5% of her class, earning her acceptance letters to several prestigious schools, including her first choice - NYU.
After a spending her Freshman year alternating between studying hard and partying hard, she'd settled down and chosen a joint major in Anthropology and Linguistics, once again surprising everyone. She was still unpredictable and a little rebellious, but her reckless behavior had, for the most part, been left behind.
It wasn't until an unexpected night in Ireland, when fate took control of her life, though, and set her on the path that she felt she truly belonged on. That night changed everything and turned her entire world upside down, but it was all for the better. Two weeks after that night, she and her best friend, Jalen Kennedy, became an item. A week after that, they had moved in together, and only a week later, they were engaged. For some, perhaps, it was all to fast, but for the pair it was perfect. After graduating from NYU on December 3, 2002, they flew back to Ireland to join her family for Christmas celebrations. And what a Christmas it turned out to be, when Jalen asked her to marry him, right there, on Christmas day.
Marital bliss would turn out to be not so blissful, when Jalen left her pregnant with twins for reasons unknown to her at the time, though there was rumor of another woman - not that she believed it. Reagan did what she’d always done best, she survived. Leaning on friends and family, she went on with life. Those closest to her knew that her smiles were faked, however, because that light in her eyes was gone. The next twist of fate occurred on July 4, 2004, when the babies came early. Almost too early. Maia Rose and Matthew Ryan were born in New York City, while the city celebrated Independence Day with fireworks. Reagan had barely been allowed to look at them, before they were whisked away to the NICU. As soon as she'd been able to, she sent Jalen word of the birth of the twins and their status in the NICU. Seeing her duty done, she practically moved into the hospital, spending hours and hours with the twins, touching them and talking to them.
On July 10, 2004, two incredible things happened. It was the first time that she'd been allowed to hold the tiny babies. She'd waited almost an entire week, aching to hold them, and finally she cradled their fragile bodies in her arms in the rocking chair she'd spent so many hours in already. In Heaven, she didn't think things could get any better. That's when the next incredible thing happened. The door opened and the ghost from her past was standing there. Jalen had come. Shocked into speechlessness for long moments, she stared at him in silence, until Maia made a little noise and she snapped out of it in order to introduce Jalen to his tiny offspring.
From that day forward, things changed. Jalen flew from California to New York as often as he possibly could to be with the twins and Reagan always welcomed him with a polite smile and tried her best to make good of this awkward friendship they were working towards. It wasn't until he moved back to New York that Reagan finally started to relax around him and pretty soon they had created an strange family dynamic as well as a comfortable friendship.

Over the years, they never divorced and the subject was never pushed. They worked fine as co-parents and neither seemed to be in a rush to get married again, so it wasn't much of a big deal. In a way, at least for Reagan, it was convenient to stay married - though that was definitely not the reason why she never went through with filing for divorce.
During the years in NYC, Reagan built up RBL, Inc into a respectable company that would one day rival her father's empire - The Lovett Group. She spent her time working hard at the company and being a dedicated mother to the twins and getting steadily burnt out on life in NYC. There always seemed like too much was going on, too many people needing something or wanting something. So, when Jalen got the job offer in Imperial Beach, Reagan was all for it and didn't even bat an eye at moving across the country to California and a change of pace.
factsBorn on October 29, 1981 in Alexandria, Virginia, making her the only one of her siblings to be born a US citizen. However, she spent just about half of her life in Shannon, Ireland and returns home to Ireland as often as she can.
Is the darkest in her family, the only one that seems to fit into the Black Irish category. She has dark brown hair and green eyes. She's, also, very petite - barely 5'4".
Developed a thousand dollar a day drug habit during her senior year of high school and continued to use through her first year in college. She managed to clean herself up and straighten herself out, during her sophomore year in college and has walked a straight road (minus one episode) ever since.
Had an almost paralyzing fear of thunderstorms, until Jalen forced her to conquer it. After that night, she's associated thunderstorms with amazing things and has become rather fascinated by them. In fact, she's often drawn out into the rain and will just stand and let the storm whirl around her, but only Jalen could even begin to understand why.
Launched RBL, Inc, a real estate development firm that she owns, while she was pregnant with her twins to give herself something to focus on. She never dreamed it would get as big or become as profitable as it has become, though.
Has been celibate since the twins were born, which had been pretty rough on her, due to her uber passionate nature. It was just unimportant, when the kids were tiny, and now that they're older, she just hasn't had the chance - or that's her excuse.
Owns a 2009 black Ford Expedition with the license plate TWINTXI, because she swears that the kids seem to need to carry everything with them, even just for a trip to the grocery store.
Has a very Irish, very explosive temper, when she gets mad. She just has to keep going, until she's burnt herself out on all the anger, before she can give up on being mad about something. For the most part, she's pretty harmless, but she's been known to destroy something or launch something across the room in her past.
Loves to sneak down to the kitchen super early on Sunday mornings to make waffles and read Post Secrets, before the kids wake up and demand her attention.
Has a weakness for any kind of wildflowers, homemade hot chocolate (but instant is delicious, too), roasting marshmallows over an open fire, and hugs that are warm and drawn out longer than necessary.
Will practically purr, if anyone plays with her hair. She'll hold still for hours and just lay there, if someone dares to sink their fingers into her hair. It's her favorite way to de-stress.
Always planned on going to graduate school and furthering her education, but her priorities changed, when she got pregnant with the twins. She still thinks about going and is seriously considering going back now that the kids are in school.
Lost her father, who was her greatest hero and her biggest fan, in early 2005. She took it very hard, even though they'd been expecting it and he had lived far longer than anyone had expected.
Is far more wealthy than she lets on and has a tendency to live pretty modestly, despite the size of her bank account.
