OUT OF CHARACTER

Name: Dawn
Age: 32
Email/AIM: d_coulter@yahoo.com , feybookgirl (AIM)
Timezone: CST

IN CHARACTER

Name: Paige Winterbourne
Fandom: Women of the Otherworld
Age: 23
Point in Canon: Dime Store Magic (about midway through when her house caught on fire)
Alignment: Heaven/Hell/Neutral. Heaven
Powers (If any): She’s a witch who was in the process of learning sorcerer spells so though her power is currently limited it has the potential to grow exponentially
Personality: Paige is no-nonsense and a bit of a rebel (though you probably wouldn't ever suspect it from looking at her).  She was taught to be independent in her thoughts and actions by her mother.  For this reason she differs from most witches in that she doesn't live in fear of her power or the discovery of those powers.  She sees herself as anyone's equal and you're likely to get a withering glance (if you're lucky) if you ever tell her that she can't do something.  She WILL prove you wrong if you tell her that she's weak in any way.

For all her bravado Paige is reluctant to kill.  She will if she has to but she prefers to find the least lethal means possible to detain the bad guys.

Brief History: Written in your own words.
Paige was the heir aparent for her mother's coven.  As such she's always lived with the assumption that she would take over when her mother was ready to step down.  There was no way that she could have possibly expected for that to happen at the age of 23 but it did.  She didn't expect to be the guardian of a thirteen year-old-girl either but she is.

Paige had only ever known life with her mother.  Her mother was one of the few living witches to not fear herself or her powers.  Because of that influence Paige grew up in a manner completely unlike that of most modern witches.  She wasn't taught to fear herself or her powers so she's explored the limits of her power in ways that white witches (for lack of better terms) haven't in what is likely centuries.  She grew up in magic and in the politics of the supernatural world since her mother was the witche's representative on the supernatural council.  It was through the council that she came to know her closest friend, Adam Vasic.  His step father was the demon representative.  Given the amount of time that the council spent together Paige and Adam came to know eachother well.  To this day Adam is one of the first people she turns to when she has troubles (even if his solutions aren't always what she wishes they would be).

About nine months before Paige came to Kansas her mother was captured by a group of humans searching for harder game to track and kill.  The supernatural community had come to their attention and with the help of a couple of half demons they managed to kidnap some of the most powerful supernaturals in the country.  Paige took part in the rescue operation but was unfortunately not able to save her mother.   Her mother died saving Savannah the daughter of another of the captured witches.

She soon found herself in a tiny Massachusetts town with a coven that didn't respect her authority and a thirteen-old-ward intent on discovering her boundaries and a growing frustration with the self-imposed limitations on witch magic.  When Savannah's father came out of the woodwork looking to get custody Paige found herself fighting a powerful Sorcerer Cabal with no help save that of a somewhat questionable, if strangely intriguing young Sorcerer/Lawyer

Third Person:

Paige was not having a good day.  So far she'd been kicked out of her own coven (the coven she was supposed to be the leader of), had her house bombed and been pulled into some crazy alternate dimension. She was grateful that wherever she was she'd managed to make it through with  the spell books. And that she'd managed to pop out right outside a library with internet access and she was able to find Adam's profile on a board that was disussing evil demons which seemed both familiar and completely alien.  And she thought that she'd seen Adam in the forum which made her feel a bit less confused because he would never side himself with the bad guys.  The fact that she'd been pulled through some kind of hole in the space/time continum (sue her she was a Star Trek geek) didn't concern her so much as the fact that she'd left Savannah alone to fight for herself when she'd promised her that she wouldn't leave her.

Plus, she kept thinking about Cortez...Lucas whatever. He was an infuriating man but he intrigued her more than anyone ever had. Maybe it was the whole "might have been" angle that had her thinking about him. It wasn't like they'd made any promises to each other. One didn't tend to make promises with someone they'd only been with once. She did have a feeling that had the universe literally not conspired against them though that things might have been serious once things settled down. If things ever settled down.

She glanced down at the now singed backpack and sighed. She had a sinking feeling that the other elders from her coven would be snickering and telling her that this is what she deserved for attempting magic beyond that which a witch was supposed to be capable if they knew what had happened to her.

"Fuck them," she muttered to herself. Wow, that felt good. Better than it probably should have. "Fuck them," she said louder as a grin spread across her face, "Fuck them all," she finally said loud enough to make passers by turn and give her odd looks.

There, that's better, weird looks for what she did instead of who she was were definitely an improvement.

First Person (Comm Post Style):
Just when I think I have the third level spells figured out I get dumped into a world where I don't even know if anything works.  And the Supernatural aspects differ so much from what I'm used to and it's really hard for me to wrap my brain around the all demons are evil philosophy since that definitely wasn't the case in my world.  I can't imagine anyone saying that Robert or Adam are in any way evil. But I'm here. Might as well see what I can do.

So, now that I'm here, what can I do?
