Appearance Stats: Standing at 5'9", Roger has a lean look about him from years of running and swimming to keep in shape for Quidditch. He is rather pale, with dark brown hair worn slightly longer than the average male length, showing off the loose, looping curls. His face is expressive, with high cheekbones, full lips and astonishingly light blue eyes. He has a standard London-accent. Roger has fantastic posture.

With an affinity for striped sweaters in various earth tones and jeans, Roger wouldn’t look any different than the average muggle. He does not put a lot of worry or effort into his style, rather just gives his hair a good brushing and makes an honest effort to shave every few of days. He is, however, very obsessed with his overall hygiene; it is not uncommon for him to shower twice a day and change his clothes often. He is a man of warm, woody scents and favors cologne with cedar hints to it. His clove cigarettes also add an interesting mix to his scent.

5 FACTS

1. His mother, Eily Davies, was only 18 when she gave birth to Roger and has never married. She worked as a waitress before landing a better job at the Ministry and has not told Roger any details about his father other than the fact he is a muggle and was not ready to be a father. Roger holds no ill-will toward Federico and is currently not interested in finding him.

2. Is absolutely brilliant with numbers and math. He studied advanced Arithmancy and Advanced Transfiguration (the most math-based branches of magic) at Hogwarts and strongly believes there is a perfectly logical, science-based reason why they can perform magic. This has caused some scandal, especially during Umbridge’s reign. Roger very seriously considered going to Cambridge to study physics until an offer from Kenmare Kestrals came in his 7th year. Weighing his options, he decided to take the Quidditch route because it would give him more money.

3. Prefers to spend his time in the muggle world. Given his aversion to the media this is the best option he has to cut lose and be rowdy without drawing too much attention from the Wizarding media. He spends a lot of time in London, explaining his absence to his muggle friends as a part of his job (a business consulting firm that flies him all over the world).

4. Despite his good health Roger must still take various supplement potions and iron replacements to combat his anemia and asthma.

5. Has two Kneazles, and is a well-known supporter for muggle and magical animal welfare. He often jokes when he retires he fully intends to become the 'crazy old man living in that creepy house with 100 kneazles'.

Relationship with Team
Roger has deep respect for his teammates and works hard to be a valuable asset given his new position on the team and the awkward position leading to his placement. He is not afraid to speak up during team meetings, though is careful to not step on any toes until there is more cohesion between him and his team. He often lends his knowledge of math and is seen at various charities, events and enjoying his evenings with his teammates.

Relationship with the Media
Roger does not have the best relationship with the media. Given is private nature, He actively avoids the media and has been known to have had a few rows with reporters when bothered outside of a scheduled interview and once hexed a photographer's camera to the man's face when he wouldn't stop taking pictures. Roger strongly dislikes interviews and feels very uncomfortable during them, and is even more so uncomfortable during photoshoots. He's been labeled 'difficult' during these events, much to his own pleasure, in the hope it would discourage others from booking him. In group interviews he is very quiet and rarely talks. All in all, Roger doesn't understand why he is in the public eye at all since, as he puts it, 'I'm just a bloke who rides a really fast broomstick throwing a ball around to other blokes on broomsticks'.

Relationship with Fans
Roger loves his fans and is especially fond of children. However, he only enjoys his fans to a point and while he will stop to chat, sign every scrap put in front of his face, he does tire quickly of the constant interaction. He is very uncomfortable during Meet and Greets, fan-outings, and other such events where he is expect to show up and be 'on'. He is extremely guarded but very charming, with a very polite, warm smile he's worked on for years, and an expert at navigating the waters of more personal questions without that person feeling as though he wrote them off. With those who have a negative opinion of his placement, Roger is cordial but does not actively engage them.

PERSONALITY

Positives
+ Friendly: 95% of the time Roger will greet someone with a big smile and a head nod, before offering to buy them a drink (or something along those lines depending on the situation). Spot Roger on the street? Come say hello! A little old witch needs help with her bags? He’ll carry them! Having the worst day ever? Roger will come over with a pint of ice cream and let you cry your heart out. He finds people, both magical and muggle extremely fascinating and enjoys human interaction (and yes, he does phrase it like this) a great deal, though for short amounts of time. He is better at one-on-one or small groups, though he also enjoys observing large groups where he can sit back and remained unnoticed. Roger can be a very lighthearted person with a hint of dark humor and a realistic (some would say pessimistic) nature. He likes to see people smile; friendly and approachable, he strikes up conversations with anyone, anywhere.

+ Charming: That smile; those incredibly pale blue eyes; the subtle touches or movement closer to you. Yes, Roger is charming, and damn good at it. With a mind like his, small cues in body language do not go unnoticed and he counters with the proper movement. Not to say he is fake, but he certainly knows how to work a person or situation to his advantage. He is also a very fun person to go pub-hopping with, and is one of the best wing-man you could ask for.

+ Smart: Roger’s mind never quits. Everything he does and says is well thought out, like a chess player, and he is already reading two moves ahead. Concepts come easily to him, and his schooling came easy (save for Herbology, but he never talks about how badly he failed that course). Tiny details are easily recalled even months later. He loves sharing information and gets excited over concepts, especially math related. It isn't unusual for him drunken ramble on and bore his mates with math.



Negatives
- Insecure: Roger, on the outside, is exceptionally charismatic with a devil-may-care attitude. He was always astonished at his own popularity at Hogwarts as he preferred his own company. He rationalizes his good luck with women with the explanation that they see him as the ‘perfect accessory’. However, when faced with the task of talking to a girl he actually fancies, Roger becomes nervous and will instead obsess over the possible outcome of the conversation, or analyze the conversation in his head rather than moving forward. He had the most difficult time getting over Cho dumping him, and it is still a very sore subject. Due to her, he has been hesitant to open up and really get to know other girls beyond casual flings. No one ever believes Roger is insecure, rather often told: “You’re the most confident person I know!” Roger is a very complex person who struggles with the duality of this nature.

- Emotionally Unavailable: Roger is genuinely interested in other people and what they have to say… until they want to know more about him. While he can talk to you for hours about traveling, movies, the state of the magical world and everything in between, Roger is extremely closed off with the exception for his favorite bar-keep. While he likes people and does make an honest effort, Roger is a fair-weather friend.

- Escapist: When things get too hard for Roger, he hides away in his flat or takes a long run. His brain never shuts off, always thinking and analyzing, which means he often has a lot of trouble sleeping and is prone to insomnia, which leads to him drinking too much. Push the subject of what is bothering him too much and you will find yourself on the receiving end of a proper chewing out or as one photographer discovered: a camera hexed to your face.

Strengths & Weaknesses
+ With his natural talent for math, Roger has an advantage on the field for quick computations in his head to ensure the perfect throw, pass, or route when flying. He is fantastic at penalty shots.

- His natural talent for math also makes him take risks. Given the law of probability, Roger knows he can only choose one outcome of his mental equations and chooses the one with the highest chance of success. This costs him injuries or loss of the quaffle as he does not factor in changes once his plan is set in motion and can become overwhelmed at even minute unplanned changes . He has been labeled a bit of a reckless player.

+/- Due to his anemia Roger can tire quickly if he has not properly prepared himself for the match (remembering to take iron supplements, keeping himself active to keep energy levels up). He will push himself beyond what he is capable to see the game through and support his fellow teammates, though at the determent of his health, requiring longer recovery times.

- Roger doesn’t communicate effectively, especially in the heat of the game. He becomes frustrated easily when simple (to him) concepts are not easily grasped and would rather just do it himself instead of wasting time trying to explain ideas or calculations to others. He has more than once been labeled rather selfish in turns of quaffle possession.
