Personality Personality: Scorpius is extremely friendly and only a little spoiled. Well, okay, maybe a lot spoiled, but it shows in his self confidence rather than any need to Lord it over anyone. He'll talk to anyone, and tends to be pretty relaxed, except when it comes to Quidditch and grades. He is fiercely competitive and has a problem losing to anyone but Albus. There was never any hope of beating him at potions. He tries to be diplomatic but has a pretty short fuse and isn't above pulling out his wand if his friends or family are threatened. He's gotten into more than one fight defending his father or Albus.

Relevant backstory
Scorpius had a fantastic childhood. His parents adored him, and he never knew what it felt like to want anything. He was a cheerful kid and was quite sheltered from the realities of the war. It never occurred to him that people might not like his father, since in Sco's eyes he was the greatest person who ever lived. He knew the vague details, he knew about Harry Potter and the Dark Lord and all those things. But they were vague background noise for the most part. Sco had never really be interested in history.
Things changed at Hogwarts. He learned quickly that people hated him just for his last name, and Scorpius was not used to being hated. The first few weeks were awful, and he begged more than once to be allowed to come home. But he wasn't a quitter, and after a month or two of relentless friendliness mixed with a couple of spectacular (for a first year) duels soon gave him a reputation of his own. People didn't pick on him anymore, at least not often, and he began to make friends. By far his best friend was Albus Potter. He understood what it meant to be defined by your last name, and they were inseparable all seven years. Sco soon added insults to Albus to the list of things he'd curse people for.
The summer before third year his mother died. Scorpius had never experienced loss like that before, and it devastated him. But he saw how dad his father was, and decided to be strong for him. He pushed the grief away and tried his best not to think of it. He invited Albus to the funeral.
Scorpius had always loved flying, and finally got to join the Quidditch team his third year. He threw himself into the sport in an attempt to take his mind off his mother, and his grades suffered. While he did eventually find a balance in his fourth year, his love and reliance of Quidditch was solidified. When he graduated he immediately got signed as a second string chaser to the Chudley Cannons.
A year later he was signed by the Appleby Arrows, as a starting chaser. He stayed living in Malfoy Manor, because why on earth would he want to leave his father? He made some friends on his team, but no one ever replaced Albus. He made it a point to seek out and bother him on a regular basis.
