It's snowing.

Who wants to make a snowman with me?

I bet Isono would. I'm not much for Snow. It's too cold.

I don't really know Isono-san. Does he really like making snowmen?

I don't know. I've never asked him. But it seems like something he'd enjoy.

He'd have lots of hand-made scarves to put on it, too.

He knits? He...doesn't seem the type.

He has a lot of strange hobbies. He's the poster child for "don't judge a book by it's cover".

It's a crime you don't know him. I think you two would get along really well.

I haven't really been in any position to interact with him a great deal.

I'll introduce you. I really do think you'll get along well.

I'm sure that Isono would love to have a baking buddy. He loves that sort of thing, too.

It seems so odd that one of your bodyguards is into such surprising things. You're right, it's terrible to judge!

Well, it's kind of human nature, sadly enough. But as long as you learn to overcome them, it isn't so bad I guess.

How long has he been your bodyguard? ...is that even the correct term?

Uh, awhile. My brother hired him when I was really young. It's been years.

I've never asked this, but I've always wondered - what's it like? Does it make you feel uncomfortable?

To have a bodyguard?

At this point I don't remember what it is like for him not to be there. Usually it doesn't bother me but he's almost like my mom. You don't always want to have your mom with you, you know?

Do you ever have any privacy? I definitely wouldn't want someone following me everywhere I go.

...though come to think of it, when we've hung out, he hasn't been there.

It really depends on the situation. He's not always ... uh, noticeable. But he isn't always with me, either. He's with my brother sometimes, and he doesn't work all the time, either.

And don't tell my brother, but I've gotten pretty good at losing him when I want to.

Yeah, he knows already. I was joking. He gives me plenty of grief for it, but I think I'm old enough to take care of myself.

I was never into that game as much as Nii-sama was. I liked Capsule Monsters better. We play for fun sometimes. We try to make each other the worst decks possible and see who can make the most of it.

I've never heard of Capsule Monsters, what is it?

I made a Deck once, it was pretty horrendous.

It's pretty similar, but the rules are easier. It never really kicked off as much as Duel Monsters, though.

I'm sure it wasn't that bad. You should have seen the last deck I made for my brother. A bunch of Kuribohs, let's put it that way.

I haven't made a Snowman in years. My best friend and I used to make whole fleets of them. In Minnesota, there's a lot of snow.

Did you accessorize them?

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]killerbody
2012-02-09 01:46 am UTC (link)
Kinda. We used to make families. The mom would have boobs and big hair, and we'd give the dad snow mustaches. Sometimes we'd use carrot noses but we never really went that extreme.

We needed our scarves and gloves too much, couldn't hand them off to snow people.

Did you take pictures? I'd love to see that! I wonder what could be used for hair...

Maybe, but if I did I can't get to them now. Back at home with mom in Minnesota, no doubt.

[info]_shizuka_

That's a shame. We should make up for it and create our own snow family and take pictures!

I don't know. It's piling up pretty heavily, but I haven't gone out and measured it or anything.

I haven't even noticed, really. It takes a lot of snow for me to notice it.

How much do you normally get in Minnesota?

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]killerbody
2012-02-09 02:11 am UTC (link)
It depends on the year, but there used to be piles taller than I was after the plows went through.

[info]_shizuka_
2012-02-09 02:12 am UTC (link)
Really? How tall are you? I don't remember ever getting that much snow in Japan.

When the plow goes through, it goes into a big pile. I think the most I've heard of falling is like, a foot.

I'm 5'3.

Do you get much snow in Japan? I've never been there.

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]_shizuka_
2012-02-09 02:19 am UTC (link)
Have you ever wanted to fling yourself onto one of those piles? I have.

...that's a lot of snow.

The northern areas do. Where I lived, we'd get storms here and there but it was rare for a storm to drop a foot of snow.

[info]killerbody
2012-02-09 03:23 am UTC (link)
I used to build snowforts into them. My mom hated it because she said they weren't "structurally sound" or whatever.

Yeah. It could get pretty bad.

I think more than a couple of inches can get annoying now. I'm too used to it.

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]_shizuka_
2012-02-09 11:07 pm UTC (link)
Who cares if they're structurally sound? It's not like you're moving into them. Though that would be pretty neat temporarily.

Harmony must have been such a huge change.

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]killerbody
2012-02-09 11:08 pm UTC (link)
It depends on the temperature. I think it'd be too cold but I guess those snow people live in igloos.

It was. But it was better than the alternative.

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]_shizuka_

Do you think they hang out with polar bears?

What was the alternative?

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]killerbody

I don't know. I think the polar bears would eat them. Bears are serious motherfuckers.

Hard to explain.

It's something to do outdoors, and it's creative!
