Character Information Name: Virginia "Pepper" Potts Codename: n/a Age/DOB: 35 / January 5, 1973 Affiliation: Stark Industries Class: n/a Position: n/a Occupation: Professional Assistant / Personal Secretary to Tony Stark
Powers: It can be said that Pepper has a tolerance unlike any woman. To be able to handle Mr. Stark and his often frivolous mannerisms, it takes an unusually strong and patient woman. Pepper doesn't have any 'real' powers except for that of her extreme loyalty to Tony, his company and his vision for the future. She's not a stupid woman by any means either.
It isn't easy managing Tony Stark's hectic life. What with cancellations here and bookings there, it really is a wonder she doesn't get burned out. Her organizational skills are off the charts, and she can be quite perceptive, when she doesn't have those occasional blond moments.
Aside from living deep within her well-organized world, Pepper is also exceptionally well-versed in all matters of the business world, having extensive experience in business administration and studied business in college in order to help Tony run the company, which she basically ran Tony's side of it herself for a point in time while Tony was being his usual sociable self.
History: Virginia was born in San Diego, California to Alvin and Savannah Potts. Virginia grew up as an ordinary child, going to all the ordinary schools and living the ordinary life. It was only until the day that both her parents were killed in a car accident that Virginia realized she couldn't be just ordinary. She had to be more. The memory of her parents depended upon it, and soon, she set out, with the help of her uncle, to accomplish something greater.
Once she had graduated from high school, Virginia flew to New York to enroll in the College of Business at NYU. It was here, through various projects, that Virginia was able to land herself countless opportunities. Her brilliance in the business field soon proved worthy when she was asked to join a secretarial pool at Stark Industries during the days when the company was run by Howard Stark.
After the death of Howard, his son, Anthony "Tony" Stark, assumed control of the company, and quickly realized Virginia's value and potential because she understood the day-to-day business of running the company better than he did. Rare as it seemed, Pepper (as he came to call her), soon found herself engulfed with work, Stark's work. However, in order to cover for him, she continued her business education and often got him out of potentially sticky situations. She eventually became one of his most trusted advisors.
The kidnapping of Tony by the terrorist group affected Pepper quite a bit. It caused her to realize that the things she did for Tony may have been stupid and underappreciated, but he was still very much a large part of her life. He was the reason she still had a job, and with him gone, that seemed destined to die right along with him. But he didn't die. He was very much alive and had somehow managed to escape from Afghanistan, though now, he was somewhat different. This Tony seemed to actually give a damn.
The transformation of Tony Stark took Pepper by surprise. Suddenly, she didn't have to do all the work. Well... she did have to balance out his agenda and his checkout like crazy, but it seemed as though he was now finally able to take matters of his company into his own hands. Pepper was slightly thrilled if not a bit worried. And it wasn't long before she discovered his Iron Man suit during one of his tests. Pepper feared for his safety and even threatened to quit at the mere possibility of him getting hurt. She wouldn't be a part of it if he was trying to kill himself.
However, Tony was able to convince her of his new genuine concerns for the company, mainly the weapons sold under the table with his name on them. Pepper understood the importance of this mission and agreed with stick with him through whatever came their way.

"Mister Stark."
It wasn't a greeting. There were never any hello's or goodbye's with Tony Stark. There was just him and... well.... some more of him. He was it. He was all she had and vice versa. That didn't mean she could just toss formalities out the window. Oh no. Greetings weren't important. Formalities, however, were essential. She wasn't just any, ole woman. She wasn't just anyone's secretary. She was Tony Stark's personal secretary. The woman had seen things that only Tony himself had seen. Some times against her better judgment?
All in a day's work.
Pepper stepped into the luxurious home. The lights gradually grew brighter, illuminating her path, as she promptly set the brown cup holder on the coffee table. With a sigh, she tucked some loose hair behind one ear, eying the two coffees before her on the table. God, she hoped they got the order right. Not like this was Devil Wears Prada or anything, but Tony did like things a certain way. So did she. Perhaps she'd grown spoiled over the years, though things hadn't always been easy. Still, it was upsetting to start the day off with a bitter taste in your mouth. Anyone could agree with that at least.
"Good Morning, Miss Potts."
"Good Morning, JARVIS. Weather report?"
"Partly cloudy with a 40% chance of afternoon thundershowers. Today's high will be 97 degrees Fahrenheit. Tonight's low will be 84 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity up at 78%. And there's a Rip Current warning for the beaches."
"Sounds exciting. Where's Tony?"
"Awaiting his coffee as always, Miss Potts."
And then, there was a grin. It was soft, subtle. It almost wasn't even there. But it existed in some time and space. It existed for the briefest moment in her mind. "Thanks, JARVIS."
"You're welcome, Miss Potts."
The trail down to his lab was a familiar one, the type she could probably walk while asleep, blind-folded and half drugged. Fully drugged was just a bit too much. She wouldn't even be able to walk while fully drugged, which completely defeated the purpose. The brown cup holder was once again in her hands, as if it was imperative to her very existence. Perhaps it would be. Perhaps this would be the last cup of coffee she would watch Tony drink. She never knew when was the last time she'd ever see him again. The thought itself made the two small, biodegradable cups tremble in her hands.
"Mister Stark."
That grin. It had returned from out of no where. It always tended to appear on her face whenever she saw him, whenever her eyes landed upon the silvery, glowing arc reactor on his chest. Proof that he had a heart indeed! And what a heart, Mr. Stark.
"I came to wish you a safe trip. I brought your coffee, your paper.... and I downloaded the latest Madonna ringtone onto your phone. You know. The one she does with JT?"
She shrugged casually, leaving the cup holder on his desk and straightening up once again.
