Nicknames: Ed

Birthplace: London, England
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Straight.
Species: Son of Adam
Fandom: Chronicles of Narnia (films)
Journal: [info]_son_of_adam
PB: Skandar Keynes

Canon Point: Just after Aslan tells Caspian that he's worthy of being a King of Narnia, at the end of the battle of Beruna.
History (250 words minimum): Born in Finchley, England, Edmund Pevensie (or Ed, as he prefers to be called) is the third child of four (Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy, in birth order). When the Second World War broke out, the four children were sent off to stay in a large house in the country along with Professor Kirke and his housekeeper, whom the children called "The Macready".

While they were there, the children discovered that a wardrobe in one of the many spare rooms in the house would take them to a magical land known as Narnia. Lucy had discovered it first, but nobody believed her. Edmund was particularly scathing of her stories of Mr. Tumnus and a land covered in snow, but then, he was permanently moody or so it seemed. He was of the opinion that nobody, especially Peter, gave him the respect he knew he was due. He was also missing his father rather more than he was letting on, which combined to make him permanently grumpy and snappy.

It seemed odd, then, that he was the second person to find themselves in Narnia. He met up with a stunningly beautiful woman who called herself the Queen of Narnia, and who fed him hot chocolate and turkish delight. She asked Edmund to bring the rest of his family with him, the next time he visited, and he reluctantly agreed. Once all four children found themselves in Narnia, Edmund managed to sneak away after a time to let the Queen, now revealed to be the White Witch, know they were all there. After that, any pretence the Witch had made at being nice was dropped and Edmund began to realise just how big a mistake he'd made.

Eventually reunited with the rest of his family when some members of Aslan's army rescued him, Edmund was a much different person. The White Witch claimed that his life was forfeit as all traitors belonged to her, and he could not argue with it as he had indeed betrayed his family and Aslan. The lion argued with the Witch, and it was decided that Aslan would die in Edmund's place. Edmund and Peter joined the main battle after Aslan had died, and while Edmund showed that he was a good fighter, even managing to destroy the Witch's wand, he was gravely injured. Aslan soon returned with reinforcements, and the battle was soon won. Lucy healed Edmund with her present from Father Christmas and the four children were crowned Kings and Queens of Narnia a few days later.

They ruled well for fifteen years, and then one day they went hunting a white stag and rode too far. They soon found themselves back in the wardrobe, no older than they had been when they first arrived in Narnia. Forced to get on with things like nothing strange had happened, they went a whole year without hearing anything from Aslan at all.

Then, one day while they were waiting for a train, they found themselves back in Narnia once more, but this time it was 1,300 years after the last time they had been there. Everything they knew of Narnia was gone; Cair Paravel was in ruins, their friends were long-since dead and Aslan had not been seen since their time. Even worse, the Narnians themselves were in hiding and the trees and most animals were silent.

It turned out that Prince Caspian had somehow discovered Susan's horn, and when he had blown it, it had brought the four Pevensie children back. After a rocky start, they worked together and overthrew Caspian's uncle. One of his generals tried to stage a coup, but it was swiftly dealt with, thanks to Aslan's intervention. The battle finished and Caspian accepted as a true king of Narnia, Ed realised how sore and tired he was. Excusing himself, he went to sit down and rest his eyes for a few minutes before intending to go help deal with the aftermath of battle, but when he opened his eyes again, he found himself in a very different place indeed.

Previous Game History, if applicable (250 words minimum): N/A

Personality (250 words minimum): Ed is a very serious young man, wise beyond his 14 years. This is probably because he's already been a king of Narnia for fifteen years, more than used to settling disputes and fighting battles. He was not known as Edmund the Just for nothing. He is always as fair as he can be in his dealings, no matter who they are with, and he is willing to listen to both sides of an argument. This stems from the first time he was in Narnia, when he was very much the traitor and betrayed his family. They (and Aslan) accepted him back when he repented, and it would be incredibly bad form if he was to treat anyone in a manner other than Aslan's way.

He is capable of keeping a cool head in a crisis, whether it be dealing with another stupid fight Pete's got himself into or working out the weak spot in an enemy's offensive positions. Even though he's younger than Pete, he is more mature in a number of ways. He tends not to rise to taunts, nor does he rush into things without considering them for a moment, at least. He rarely lashes out, a far cry from the angry sulking spiteful little boy who first stumbled into Narnia through a wardrobe. Ed constantly feels like he needs to prove himself, especially where his family's concerned, and so he is almost insanely loyal to them. Pete knows Ed will always have his back, and the girls know Ed will go out of his way to make sure they're safe. This is not to say that he blindly follows wherever they may lead. Ed is not afraid to speak up if he thinks Pete's being an idiot, and if he thinks an idea or solution to a problem has merit, he will argue that point until it's either blown out of the water or accepted, but once a decision has been reached, he will do everything in his power to see that it is enforced and acted upon.

Appearance: Ed's 5'8, with dark brown eyes and almost black hair that he keeps fairly short, although he hasn't had a trim since he appeared in Narnia so he's just starting to look a bit shaggy. He's beginning to fill out as he grows older, and he's in extremely good shape anyway, a consequence of his seemingly-instinctive ability to swordfight as well as the fact that he enjoys playing a lot of sports. His hands are calloused and rough, and he usually has bruising somewhere on his body; both are from his sparring practices. Having grown up in the thirties and early forties, Ed tends to wear shirts and trousers rather than jeans and teeshirts.

Likes: Cricket, Rugby, sparring, military history, chess, helping people, his brother and sisters, Narnia, most food.
Dislikes: Turkish Delight, hot chocolate, Jadis, people picking fights especially with people he knows, being treated like a child.

Strengths: - Ed is remarkably skilled with a sword, despite his young age, and is a veteran of at least two major battles in Narnian history.
- He is an excellent negotiator, and is not fazed by dealing with older, more experienced opponents.
- He has a very strategic mind, and enjoys a good game of chess.
- He is capable of keeping a cool head in a crisis.
- He is always as fair as he can be in his dealings, no matter who they are with, and he is willing to listen to both sides of an argument. This stems from the first time he was in Narnia. As he said, the last time he didn't listen to someone, he ended up looking rather stupid.

Weaknesses: - Although he doesn't show it (much), it really annoys him when people dismiss him just because he's a kid. Even if he hadn't had those 15 extra years in Narnia, he thinks his opinions are just as valid as anyone else's.
- He still feels like he needs to make up for his betrayal during the Pevensie's first time in Narnia.
