Saturday: January/3/09 - AIM: Starbuck/Ana
Starbuck: Hello, Ana.
Ana: hi
Starbuck: Should I be worried about Ava?
Ana: i think you worry too much
Starbuck: Probably, but it looks like she's got an open invitation for "strong and lovely men" to come fuck her.
Ana: and unless you're gonna bother to help her, it's not any of your business
Starbuck: I'm her friend, so it is my business. Is she getting rid of the piano?
Ana: no, just moving it
Starbuck: That's good.
Ana: why bother me with these questions if she's the one you're friends with?
Starbuck: Because I think it's obvious she's avoiding the problem. I doubt she'll discuss it with me.
Ana: and you think i will?
Starbuck: I hope she's discussing it with you. That's why I asked if I should be worried.
Ana: just let her be
Starbuck: Okay.
Starbuck: Are you okay?
Ana: you seriously need to cut back on worrying about everyone else
Starbuck: I'm not worried about you, just asking because it's the decent thing to do.
Ana: you're such a boy scout
Starbuck: I was never in the scouts. Seemed pointless, and now I'm less inclined to join since they're a bunch of homophobes.
Ana: what?
Starbuck: The boy scouts are dicks to homosexuals.
Ana: so you're gay? that explains a lot
Starbuck: No, but I have friends who are.
Ana: right
Starbuck: Don't you?
Ana: yes
Starbuck: So wouldn't you avoid organizations that don't give them full rights?
Ana: yes
Starbuck: So there ya go. I'm not a scout, and my son will never be one either.
Ana: what if he wants to?
Starbuck: I doubt he will.
Ana: what makes you so sure?
Starbuck: Because I can teach him more than they ever could, and I'd hope that he'd have the same sort of respect for others that I do, that he wouldn't want to join.
Ana: and what if he doesn't?
Starbuck: Then I guess I live with it and let him do what he wants.
Ana: interesting
Starbuck: Why?
Ana: just is
Starbuck: Interesting how?
Ana: you were so certain that no son of yours would want to join, but ultimately say you'd just let him do whatever
Starbuck: I'll raise him the best I can and hope he makes good decisions, but I won't force his hand. What good would that do?
Ana: none
Starbuck: Exactly. He'd probably resent me for it.
Starbuck: Hello?
Ana: what?
Starbuck: You stopped talking to me.
Ana: and?
Starbuck: If you're done talking to me, you could at least say so.
Ana: fine, i'm done talking
Starbuck: Later.
