Thursday: April/2/09 - Phone: Starbuck/Kim
Starbuck: *calls*
Kim: Hello?
Starbuck: Hey, babe.
Kim: Hey, what's up?
Starbuck: I think it's about time you put a ring on it.
Kim: *confused* What?
Starbuck: I don't have a ring.. and FIVE women just flirted with me in the thirty minutes I spent at the grocery with Kamea and Reed.
Starbuck: *Kamea in the background* HI MOMMY!
Kim: *laughs* Well, guys with kids are chick magnets. Especially hot ones.
Starbuck: If I'd known this years ago, I would have volunteered to babysit every kid in the neighborhood.
Kim: *amused* Really?
Starbuck: Well, maybe not. I mean.. I've got you now.
Kim: *smiling* Good answer, babe.
Starbuck: *Kamea hollering* I wanna talk to mommy!
Starbuck: *Starbuck* Just a minute, sweetie. I'm talking to her right now. And we're gonna be home soon anyway.
Kim: How'd they behave at the store?
Starbuck: Well.. we have THREE kinds of cereal with cartoons on the boxes. You tell me.
Kim: *laughs* Sounds like a successful trip.
Starbuck: To be fair, I grabbed the Lucky Charms.
Kim: Oh, I already knew you were responsible for at least one of those boxes.
Starbuck: You know me so well.
Kim: I like to think so. *yawns* So did you get any numbers from the women that were hitting on?
Kim: *you
Starbuck: Oh yeah. Get this.. one of them had the balls to give her number to Kamea!
Kim: *amused* Seriously?! *laughs* Wow, lady's got some balls.
Starbuck: Right?
Starbuck: *Kamea shouts out* She said for daddy to call her!
Kim: *laughs* And what did Kamea say to her?
Starbuck: She just asked why. *chuckle*
Kim: And what did the chick say? Or was she too stunned to answer?
Starbuck: I pulled Kamea away and quickly told the chick we had to get home to mommy.
Kim: *laughs* I think you need to record your trips to the store from now on. Nothing this funny ever happened to me.
Starbuck: That's because women with kids don't turn guys on. Sorry.
Kim: Ouch. Thanks, babe.
Starbuck: Well, you turn me on.. but not random dudes. They can't focus on you.. they're too busy freaking out over the kids.
Kim: I don't feel too cute lately anyway.
Starbuck: You're gorgeous.
Kim: I'm flabby.
Starbuck: You're not!
Kim: Yeah, sure.
Starbuck: And, let's be honest, your tits look beyond amazing.
Kim: Because I'm pudgy.
Starbuck: *soft* Babe.. you're not. You're sexier than ever.
Kim: I don't feel like it. I still have all this extra baby weight and it sucks.
Starbuck: How 'bout we take a little trip together? Mom's still around. She could stay here with Kamea and Reed.
Kim: *hesitant* I don't know..
Starbuck: Just one night away.
Kim: To do what? I don't think I'm ready to have sex again.
Starbuck: Kim.. I know that.
Kim: *sighs* I'm sorry.
Starbuck: No.. don't apologize. That's not why I was asking to go away. I just think we could use a night off.
Kim: I don't know if I'm ready to leave Reed for a whole night yet.
Starbuck: Alright.
Kim: I'm lame. I know.
Starbuck: You're not. You love your little boy.
Kim: I really do. So I guess it's not weird that I miss him right now, huh?
Starbuck: Not at all.
Kim: Ugh, I still feel lame. Not because I miss him, but because I wanna get back to doing everything I normally did before. This whole resting thing sucks.
Starbuck: There's no hurry.
Kim: Well, I'm in a hurry. I want this baby pudge to go away. Did you know that I still have to wear bigger pants? How is that normal?
Starbuck: Babe, you barely gained any weight while pregnant, and you're still a good ten sizes smaller than most women I know.
Kim: Are you saying I'm too skinny?
Starbuck: *sigh* I can't win here, can I?
Kim: It's not a trick question. I'm not trying to make you lose or anything.
Starbuck: I think you're gorgeous.
Kim: You're adorable.
Starbuck: *clearly smiling* Likewise.
Kim: *amused* What happened to not wanting to be adorable?
Starbuck: Eh, I'm over it.
Kim: So I win?
Starbuck: You win.
Kim: I thought the victory would feel better. *laughs*
Starbuck: *chuckles too* I love you.
Kim: Because I'm crazy?
Starbuck: Yep.
Kim: That's all it takes, huh?
Starbuck: Well, it's more than that..
Kim: What else?
Starbuck: It's the intangibles.
Kim: You're being way too adorable right now.
Starbuck: Ask mom if she can take the kids out to play when I get home.
Kim: I have to feed the baby when you get back, but I guess I can ask her.
Starbuck: Good. We'll have some you and me time.
Kim: Is it sad that I barely remember what that's like?
Starbuck: That's why we need it.
Kim: Yeah, I guess you're right.
Starbuck: I'll be home soon. Ask mom.
Kim: Alright, I'll ask her.
Starbuck: Love you, babe.
Kim: Love you too.
Starbuck: *hangs up*
