Personality
Jyn has always displayed a rebellious attitude but thanks to her mothers teachings she does have a sense of what is wrong and what is right. Due to her upbring Jyn rarely displays what she is truly feeling, often hiding it behind a calm and cool exterior. Jyn can be aggressive, do things first and ask questions later. This often leads to misunderstandings and mistrust at first. It is hard for her to trust anyone after being abandoned twice and orphaned essentially three times. She did open up to Andor during their brief encounter and forged a bond of trust. Jyn can be selfess and caring, especially children. She likes to answer questions with more questions.History

At the age of 8, the empire found them. Jyn was told to go to the hidout but watched her mother die. She ran to the hideout and stayed there for what seemed like days. When she emerged from the hatch, Saw Gerrera was waiting and urged her to come out. She was then taken as his own daughter. For the next eight years, she became one of his top soldiers. However, she was abandoned by him at the age of sixteen.
Jyn escaped Tamsye Prime and eventually met Akshaya Ponta who took Jyn in to help her get back on her feet. It was then she met Hadder, Akshaya's son who was Jyns age. The two became close and eventually started a relationship. However, their relationship did not last long as Hadder and Akshaya were killed when stormstroppers came looking for Jyn. The guilt of their deaths never left her. Jyn then spent the next five years as a petty criminal and smuggler. She would use different aliases to hide her true identity as the Empire was always on the look out for Jyn. However, she was finally arrested and taken to an Imperial labor camp. She was there for sixth months before the vehicle she was in was attacked by the Alliance to Restore the Republic. She attempted to escape but was taken down by K-2SO telling her not to resist as she was being rescued.
Jyn was taken to the Rebel Alliance's base on Yavin 4 before she was questioned about the last time she had contact with her father and Saw Gerrera. After a brief exchange she learned that her father was going to pass information to the Rebellion about a planet-destroying superweapon. She went to Jedha to meet with Andor and K-2SO, not trusting either of them as much as they didn't trust her. Some trust was formed when Andor gave her a blaster, even if K-2SO believed that she would use it on him,
There Jyn meet up with Gerrera and was given a hologram recording of her father's message, with a flaw inside the "Death Star". The group had to escape the planet as the Empire was using the planet as a test fire, and they were able to escape, but Jyn lost a father figure yet again, this time for good. The arrived on Eadu where Jyn found her father after many many years. However, it was bittersweet as he father was shot. The two shared a few words before he died. Believing that Andor killed her father, she confronted him but he told her he didn't even if he had the chance too.
Back at the rebel base, the cabinet was dicussing how they should handle with this new super-weapon and the words of a criminal were not enough to take the risk. Jyn unable to swat the cabinet to take action, Jyn left the room. Andor approached her with some marines, agreeing that they had to do something, they decided to do it without the permission of the Alliance, naming themselves "Rogue One."
Jyn became a member of the Alliance and promoted to rank of Sergant by Tadius Selfa, that gave would her the respect she needed dealing the marines. Stealing clothing from the uniforms, they were able to infiltrate the facility and to get to the data vault without much trouble, as the secondary team was pulling the attention away from them. Jyn was able to steal the data tapes under the surname "stardust" and transmit them out. However, she and Andor, the last of the surviving Rogue One could not leave the planet due to the shields in place and the fact that the Death Star was moving into place to open fire. Accepting her fate, Jyn hugged Andor as the blast came towards them both and then white.
