Fderek’s little huff and the eagerness with which he pulled Stiles back against his body pleased Stiles no end. Derek’s possessiveness, his desire to keep him close, it was so nice.
“I know,” Stiles said softly, lacing his fingers through Derek’s where they lay against his abdomen. He’d need to tell his dad about the bite before he got home. He knew his dad would be able to smell it on him immediately, both as an alpha and a parent, but it wouldn’t be polite of him to just turn up and make his dad deal with that. “I’ll do it when I wake up-“ as though he wasn’t awake right now.
He chuckled when Derek draped himself over his body. “Yeah, big guy. I’m all yours.”
Stiles huffed softly when Derek got up, but he wasn’t ready to wake properly again. He just spread himself out over the bed, over the warm patch that Derek had left.
In all honesty, Deaton has been expecting a phone call from Derek or Stiles ever since they last came in. Mostly he’d assumed they’d call to check the medication was okay, or whether Stiles was too young to conceive, or something related to that. So seeing Derek’s name flashing up on the screen made a satisfied smile creep over his lips.
“Good morning Derek,” he answered cheerily. He listened to Derek’s concern about the pill, was again unsurprised that the two of them had been so surely mated in less that twenty four hours, and offered his comfort.
“If He is pregnant, taking his pill again won’t hurt him. Or the foetus. It’s supposed to make his body think he’s already with child, if there is a baby there it simply won’t do anything. He may get stronger symptoms of pregnancy, but I’m sure you’ll both think that’s a minor inconvenience.” He paused for a moment. “I’d just like to advise you to be more careful. I’m sure you asked for contraception for a reason. And if you aren’t following the prescription then he will get pregnant. Especially during his heat. If you skip a pill then it’ll be miraculous if he doesn’t conceive. I wasn’t just telling you he was fertile to flatter you, Derek.”
Deaton has known the Hales a very very long time. Long enough to be frank and honest with whichever one came to him for advice.
