Derek ([info]surlier) wrote,
"Good morning, Deaton."

He let out a little breath he didn't know he'd been holding once Deaton said it wouldn't hurt the fetus if Stiles took it while he was pregnant. If he'd thought about it, Deaton would never give something like that, but there was still an urge to make sure, to give their future children the best possible safety.

"I -- I know," he said, slightly guilty at he leaned forward and put his head against a cabinet door. "We haven't missed one, but he hasn't taken his pill yet this morning." It was still morning, just a little closer to noon than not. "Do we have a few hours where he can take it or does it need to be the same time every day?"

And speaking of pills, he needed to take his own.

It was a responsible decision. Deaton's frank manner was only a reminder of that.

Stepping back, he kept the phone pressed between shoulder and ear as he started gathering fruit and bacon out of the fridge to start breakfast. Brunch. Whatever.

"And he said -- and maybe he should be the one talking to you about it, but while I've got you on the phone, he mentioned that he felt -- sad, when we hadn't conceived. It didn't last very long, but I could smell it."
