Derek ([info]surlier) wrote,
Derek hung back a little, scenting that happiness that came off his mate and watching Scott with curious eyes. All was not perfect, but it was better than it had been when the other alpha showed up.

"It wasn't quietly," he said wryly.

"It's a good place for a -- for someone single." And it would be good for college parties, but Derek was already graduated and Stiles, well, he planned on being pregnant, not partying and said as much.

What he didn't say, mostly because he didn't think that Scott would understand was that they were holding off for a while. If either of them could go with their first choice, Stiles might miss being in heat because he'd already be pregnant.

He hovered right inside the entrance of the loft, a little furrow appearing between his brows. There were still things that Scott didn't understand -- and Derek was sure they were going to cause friction later.

"It's normal," he added, heading off the question. "Deaton and I have already spoken about it. I know it seems fast but this is something we both want. I'd wait as long as Stiles wanted me to." In case he was thinking that this was more something Derek wanted rather than Stiles.

"If you like the loft, I'll let you know before I put it on the market, but it's really not going to be suitable to our needs." Especially not once their pack began to grow.

His gaze dodged to Stiles for a moment. "Why don't you two talk? I'll throw the nachos and the pizzas in the oven." Even a full pizza was more like an appetizer when the pack came over -- they tended to eat a lot, him included.
