I'm in need of a vacation. However, I'm on a night shift the rest of the week with no actual vacation time in sight.

But question of the day, why is it most people have this insufferable, annoying, unmanageable habit of over sharing everything about their lives?

If that Goblin at Gringott's didn't throw that blond talking to him incessantly about her boy troubles out of the cart on the way to her vault, I'll be surprised.

Perhaps in the hopes that somewhere, there's someone who can empathise.

Case in point - I am pregnant. I have it on good authority that there are several women in the world who may or may not have gone through this same situation.

Here's the million galleon question though. Are you screeching incessantly and loudly in public places about your morning sickness, sore breasts, or the fact that you feel as big as a house and can't see your swollen ankles to everyone and their brother who'd rather not hear about it?

As a more serious response, I'm a healer, and there are a lot of resources available through St. Mungo's. They even allow a sort of pregnancy support group for first time mothers (I don't know if that description is apt for you) to meet in one of the fifth floor conference rooms once a week.

Ugh, no, that's tacky and gauche. I wouldn't be caught doing anyof that in public. The one time time I complained of the sickness, it was because I was sure it was food poisoning, and was hell bent on retribution.

Thanks very much for the offer, but I actually already have a Healer. I may look into the support group. I'm thinking of starting my own private medical practice as it happens. I'm not a Healer but I know the perfect one, and she knows others. I'm more about the business end of things.

Well, my specialty is emergency trauma and spell damage at the hospital, so I don't know the information for the group off the top of my head, but I can find it out when they meet for you.

Like an obstetrics healing practice?

I do say that I think a drink or two is in order. You do work far too much, my dear. Don't make me snatch you up from the clutches of work, because I'm very likely to.

I really shouldn't be complaining. I did have most of the weekend off.

What are you doing Thursday?

Either way, I was looking forward to literally picking you up from work and carrying you off in my arms, however, I'm actually free on that day for you, my dear Tracey.

For you, of course. Since I truly enjoy that thought, I might just pick you up in my arms anyway. It's always ladies choice, love, and my treat as well.

Want me to fake an injury and come and give you a few moments peace one night this week?

I think it might be because they don't have anything else to talk about, and they're mostly self-absorbed that they can't be troubled to think about how it might affect others. Just a thought.

I'm pretty sure the head healers frown upon fake injuries, so you can: A.) have someone knock you in the head. B.) Catch me for breakfast after my shift one day.

I think more normal people need to straight up tell the self-obsessed that that's not cool.

As happy as I'm sure Harold would be to bash me in the head, I think the breakfast option sounds a little better. What time does your shift end?

I think so too. I can't deal with self-obsessed people. The worst is when they also have the superiority complex. Had a woman walk into the office demanding that we go after her husband because he never took the rubish out. Right. Because that constitutes a dark wizard.

7:00. I'm not sure what time you usually go in, but I can meet you anytime after that.

Now, that constitutes a knock in the head. Now law enforcement.

I usually go in between eight and eight thirty, so that sounds like it'll work out pretty well. There's a place just down from the Hospital that has a decent fry up, want to meet there?

They both deserve a knock to the head if you ask me.

Sounds good.

Do you think if you knocked their heads together that it can be played off that they did it to themselves?

That would be just about perfect wouldn't it? Its it bad that I'm sitting here trying to think of how I could make this happen without getting into too much trouble?

Good then, I think that I'll keep working on that for the rest of the afternoon, well, until my supervisor tells me otherwise that is.

As long as there aren't bad guys to catch. I can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon.

If there are bad guys to go and catch, they're not in my pay grade just yet unfortunately. So until then, I guess I'm stuck dealing with the bowsies who insist on pestering me.

Even if their pestering you, I'm sure it's still better than dealing with incidents of neighbors claiming so and so stole their broom or chasing down 11 year old shop lifters.

This is true. Especially considering that I get to point them down the hallway so the Hit Wizards can deal with that sort of thing. Though, not going to lie, it's been quite some time since I've gotten to chase anyone down. That could be fun...
