Name: Tracey Davis Nicknames: Trace, if you’re actually that lazy, and if you are that lazy and not a close friend, you’ll never say it again. She also seems to be called and answer to her last name more often than her first. Age: 23 Birthday: November 10, 1979 Occupation: Healer at St. Mungo's (right now she's working extensively in the emergency ward); she also does side Healing work for some of the shady, seedier people in the wazarding world. She keeps her mouth shut, doesn't ask too many questions, and gets paid handsomely for it. Bloodline:Pure-ish, Her father's family really isn't as pureblood as they like to believe, so while she definitely fits the definition of a pureblood, she is no way shape or form seen as equal in the eyes of some of the uber pureblood elite. Furthermore, they are broke. Allegiance: Neutral; She really doesn't care about blood status or anything like that Nationality: Welsh, Italian Animals: A ginger cat that she calls C, just C Year/house: ‘98 - Syltherin Prefect? No Orientation: Straight

Family: Tracey and her parents have a strange relationship. Tracey's mother was extremely strict in her upbringing of Tracey, and she always seemed to expect things that were simply too mature for whatever age she was, and dealt in strict punishments when Tracey could perform or grasp the task at hand. As a result they've always had an extremely strained relationship. This relationship turned to straight out loathing during Tracey's teenage years, when she uncovered the truth of her mother's infidelity and hypocrisy of trying to turn her daughter into some good sort of wife when she herself was anything but. The falling out after was epic. Tracey rebelled massively, standing up to her mother and doing the things she wanted to do to the distress of her mother. Tracey never made a move to mend their relationship before her mother's death (of dragonpox), and she claims she's not bothered with it, and she's better off without even if it's not true. Her father was largely absent during Tracey's early childhood. It wasn't until Tracey was old enough to play that he was around. For the most part he was more a playmate and partner in crime than a father. He'd take her to quidditch games and things. Today, she still has regular meals with him. Tracey is an only child and she she has a couple random cousins, but most of her family is on her mother's side, and they disowned her when she began to rebel a bit. Friends: When it comes to friends, Tracey didn't really have a ton of them in school. Her family was perceived as a bit of a joke (although some of this was Tracey's own imagination) by some of the snootier members of her house. She was friendly enough, but for the first few years she definitely kept her head down and studied hard. Her family didn't care about blood status (though she had a tendency to be elitist). She did have a couple, and since leaving school she's made many more. She's made them through St. Mungo's. Or just by being sociable (which started sometime in her sixth year). She loves her friends; she'd do anything for them really. Oddly enough one of her best friends now (though Tracey wouldn't want to admit it) is Pansy. Pansy had always had her nose incredibly high in the air about Tracey at school, and Tracey for the most part couldn't keep the eye rolls to herself when it came to Pansy being rather over dramatic. Things changed after school. Tracey needed a job during training and she walked straight into Martini's nightclub looking for work. If she'd known Pansy owned the joint she would have never stepped in. Oddly enough she was hired (Tracey thinks the only explanation is that Pansy must have been desperate for help.) At this point Pansy herself had been disowned from her family, and a strange sort of bitchy friendship was born. (Although Tracey will never admit how close the two have gotten. After all, Parkinson's supposed to be a complete cow.) (I'd like to sort the rest of this as it goes!) Romanitcally: (I'd like to work this out in game)
…PERSONALITY; | ||||
She’s intelligent, charismatic, and she’s determined. She’s also extremely disciplined. Her mother made her so with her high standards and constant pressure to be all you can be. This is evidenced by the fact that when she wants something she goes for it and more often than not gets it by doing ANYTHING she can to get it. Her sense of humor is more dry, cerebral, and sarcastic. She actually greatly enjoys funny people; she's just picky about what she finds funny. And dear lord can she bitch with the rest of them. She also likes being in control of things. She's not a big fan of huge, not good surprises. She realizes there are things that happen in the world that you can not help, but your reactions to these events, the choices you make at that moment are yours and yours only. She's very much a pull yourself up by your bootstraps sort of person, and she has almost no respect or sympathy for anyone who complains and doesn't even attempt to fix it. Tracey also likes to act like she's much more emotionally cold than she really is. Unless you're close to her you're not going to see anything phase her. She'll hold it in until she's in private. She isn't as cold as she puts on though. She does care. She's a Healer, at her core she has to care about people in general. Lately and in the past couple years Tracey's learned that it's better to be approachable. It's better to have friends. So she's far more open to talking to people in general. Rather than the rather quieter student she'd been in school. She actually likes being more laid back, she likes just hanging out with friends. People not liking her is one thing that really doesn't get to her these days. Normally it's for stupid reasons. As a result bitchiness is more often than not responded to with an eye roll and quick quip, before being forgotten because Tracey has BETTER things to spend time on, thank you very much. ... unless it's something massively huge, unless it's against her friends or father. Then hell hath no fury like Tracey Davis scorned. She doesn't play fair at all, and she will mess you up. Phobias: Losing control of situations, she used to have nightmares of a couple of her friends actually taking the mark, Her father getting in over her head. Getting left with the Catapults but they're the bottom of the league when she inherits them. Likes: her friends, sex, money, boys, smart people, her father, QUIDDITCH, the Catapults. Dislikes: stupid people, her enemies, pumpkin juice, her mother, Puddlemere, all her grandparents, Daphne Greengrass
…HISTORY; | ||||
Maria D’Ambrosio was a pure-blood, Italian witch whose parents owned a very good chain of apothecaries throughout Italy, and while not blood supremacists, they were elitists. Her father traveled a lot on business and would take Maria with him. On a trip to England, when she was 17 she met a young businessman named Andrew Davis, who was 20. While Maria was completely infatuated with the young man, her father didn’t approve of the match. While Andrew Davis was a pure-blood, the family wasn’t that prestigious or rich, having lost the majority of their money in the generations before, through bad business decisions and gambling problems. The only thing of any worth the family had kept hold of were the Caerphilly Catapults. Andrew was ambitious, however. And Maria figured the with her by his side that was all that mattered to get the family back on track. So after a couple of years of a long distance relationship (and her parents trying in vain to set her up with other guys) her parents finally relented and gave their blessing for the marriage. Andrew's talent for business did not, sadly, meet his ambition levels, and most of the Davis family income really began to come from far more shadier and seedier businesses than legitimate ones. The harsh reality of life in England hit Maria like a ton of bricks, since no matter how hard they worked things stayed the same. She began to resent her position. While Andrew remained completely infatuated with his wife, Maria sadly did not feel the same way. She figured a child would fix the issue, so the two conceived and had a daughter. When it became apparent that babies do not solve problems, Maria refused to have another. And while some part of her did care for her husband, her eyes did begin to wander. Tracey was a daddy’s girl, through and through. She’d even beg to follow him to work a few times, drawing on parchment, acting like him. She idolized him, and didn’t want to go to Hogwarts because she was afraid she’d miss him too much. Maria had always been an extremely strict force on her daughter’s life. It’s the type of life she had. She adored her daughter, but she was never sure on the exact best way to show this love other than keeping Tracey under her thumb... tightly under her thumb. She made sure her daughter had proper manners, took part in proper activities, everything that was expected of her. It was a stressful home. And most of the time her mother expected Tracey to grasp concepts much too old for her. It didn't help that Tracey tended to be an obstinate, stubborn child who refused to do what she was told sometimes. She just hated formal stuff, it was so boring and there was nothing to do but look pretty. Then Tracey went to Hogwarts. The hat had barely touched her head before it announced Slytherin. There was no doubt in Tracey's mind that was where she'd go. Her father had been there after all, and she thought getting put into any other house would be a failure. She was a quiet sort of student in school, but her catty shallow side came out sometimes, mainly at first because again she didn’t know much outside of that behavior. She never did make a crack at anyone for their parentage or house. Mostly she stayed quite and did her school work. Gossip and scandal sort of followed her name. Everyone knew her grandfather had a gambling problem. They knew her father couldn't make a good business decision if it bit him in the arse, and they all seemed to know that her mother (no matter how discreet she attempted to be) was not exactly faithful to her husband. Tracey having grown up in a bubble never exactly believed a word of it. She hated the gossip, and since her father worked hard to keep up a certain lifestyle, she never would hear a bad word against him. During Christmas her sixth year she was in her family’s library when she found a book she hadn't yet read. She flipped open the cover and the book was addressed to her mother from some man named Roger. She confronted her mother, and the other woman admitted it was true. The pair fought, and Tracey let out all the pent up frustration she ever had at her mother loose. She stormed out after yelling that she was a “traitorous whore.” She stayed at the Leaky Cauldron for two days before she returned home, knowing that her father would be worried. She found she really did enjoy her new found liberation though. She was able to think more clearly for herself, open up a bit. She sure as hell stopped behaving perfectly proper (since it was the ultimate revenge for being taught so by a hypocrite), and she loved the rebellion. Her mother's family, however, did not. They disowned their granddaughter and haven't looked back. She was so sick and tired of just being from her own family at this point that Tracey made the resolution that she really didn't need anyone. Her great ambition was to live on her own without them. But she did love her father, so she does visit with him regularly. Two years later her mom died of Dragonpox, and Tracey claimed to have not cared one bit. Her last year at Hogwarts though, Tracey kept to herself. She felt protected by her blood status and her house. As a result she kept on and didn't cause any trouble. (Though her father almost pulled her out of school.) She followed the other students out of the building before the battle. She returned for her NEWTS. She studied hard, and she got accepted into Healer's training when she left school. She needed a place to live though. While her father kept telling her she was more than welcome to stay at the house, she didn't want to be around there. So she answered an ad from someone seeking a roommate. She did not except a happy Irish Gryffindor to answer the door. She did some headdesking, but she was desperate. She figured that with all the training, studying, and working she'd be doing she'd barely see him, so she decided to move in, until something else came along. Tracey ended up staying there for almost two years (she claims it's because it was convenient, and he wasn't a complete slob, and he paid half of all his stuff on time.) until her uncle died, leaving her his comfortably sized boathouse. It wasn't what Tracey would have picked to live in, but it is home to her now. The store room has been converted into a Healer's office. She got her certification and she works at St. Mungo's, but she also has a little business on the side. She patches up people for money who don't want too many questions asked.
