APPEARANCE/PERSONALITY/POWERS Appearance: Laura stands at 5'4" and has blue eyes and blonde hair. As far as outfits go, if you're dealing with the "Good Laura" she'll tend to wear more modest clothes. Anything that she wears would be purely for comfort and not at all provocative. "Good Laura" would bundle herself up in layers and wear minimal jewelry, just a pair of hoop earrings and the half-heart necklace that James had given her. If you're dealing with "Bad Laura" however; she will dress provocatively. There will be cleavage, leg and an overabundance of make-up. Personality: There are two sides to Laura Palmer. There's the side that wants to do good, to be good. This side of her worked as a tutor for Johnny Horne, gave English lessons to Josie Packard and worked for the Double R Diner's Meals on Wheels program. This was the side of her that she presented to the world; the side of her that had been crowned Prom Queen. The other side of her used the money that she'd earned doing honest, decent work to fund a drug habit. "Bad Laura" would engage in promiscuous sex, often having multiple partners at the same time. History: From the age of twelve, Laura began to be molested by BOB (a possessing spirit). At first she tried to spend as much time as she could with her cousin Maddy and her best friend Donna; thinking that if she tried to be good and stopped thinking about sex then maybe BOB would stop attacking her. However, she found this difficult to do as she would only think about it more as she began to go through puberty. As she grew older Laura dabbled with drug use and flirtation with boys and quickly learned the art of seduction. She could turn the cruelty on when she needed to, especially when she wanted to subdue the "Good Laura". At a party that Leo Johnson was throwing she performed oral sex on a young woman and tried cocaine for the first time--soon becoming addicted. From then on she started to "party" with increasing frequency with Leo, Jacques and Ronette. After an unusual interaction with an elderly woman and a young boy, the young boy told Laura that the "man in the mask" was looking for her diary in its hiding place. BOB had invaded every part of her life; every part of her body and soul for five years. He would not take this from her too. When she arrived home, she saw BOB looking for her diary in its hiding place. Screaming, she ran out of the house to hide in the bushes. Yet still, something nagged at her. If she looked again she'd see his true face, she was sure of it. Just as that front door opened, however, Laura was engulfed by a blinding white light and transported to Galador. Notes: Laura was born July 22nd, 2003 in Twin Peaks, Washington, raised as an only child to Sarah and Leland Palmer. Laura is close with her cousin Maddy (who bears a striking resemblance to her) and has a dear friend in Donna Hayward. She was gifted a diary from Leland on her 12th birthday. At one point Laura discovered that someone had been reading her diary and as a result of that her trust in people dwindled. Laura briefly worked at One Eyed Jacks as a prostitute.
