Stiles isn't the most noticeable upon first glance. He tends to blend in with the crowds and he's torn about that - though he prefer it that way, he is still a teenager and would like to be noticed once in a while by people. Especially girls. He's got a whole heap of loyalty for his friends. He's been willing to put himself in front of danger more than once for those closest to him, even if he's scared to hell.

Confidence isn't something he holds. He's always been a little awkward and quick to use sarcasm as a defense. Stiles is very unsure of himself, especially now after all he's been through. It's reached the point though that he wonders if he deserves to be an Alpha. He doesn't think of himself as a leader. A go-getter, maybe; but he isn't sure that he's a leader. Scott is a leader in his eyes. A true leader as he became an Alpha of his own accords with strength of will, not by taking power or getting it through succession. This is why he has been torn and deeply debating turning over his 'spark' to Scott, to fall into being his Beta. This has been debated aloud with only a few people - Derek, Deaton, and his father.

Derleth will be weird for him, sure; but he's used to weird. Beacon Hills is a literal beacon for all sorts of oddities and supernatural beings. If anything, he'll fit right in. When it comes to the antics of fighting and battles though, Stiles still reacts like a normal human. He's been known to wield a baseball bat on more than one occasion. Instinct doesn't strike him as it does with other werewolves he knows. This is likely because of his lack of use but it is slowly coming back. Also, he's got enough control that he doesn't shift against his will on Full Moons anymore.

Fun fact: Stiles is uber squeemish. Blood isn't for him. He's been known to pass out when it comes to needles before, as well. Please don't ask him to cut off your arm. And though he can not have illnesses or diseases due to his healing as a werewolf, his energy is high strung enough that he has an official diagnosis of ADHD. He also has a history of panic attacks. After his mother's passing, he struggled for a while. Especially since her death was so suspicious to the family and few pack members who then got scared and left town. The Nogitsune possession triggered these things in him to return (panic attacks, sleeplessness, nightmares) but they've been subsiding since the event two months prior.

AU ASPECTS: In short, Stiles was born a werewolf. His mother was the Alpha of a very small pack until her passing (which everyone is still fuzzy on the cause - Stiles believes Deucalion killed her) and Stiles then became the Alpha as he was her only child and his father is human. With the Alpha Pack around and causing trouble, he takes it as a good time to tell his secret since their numbers are scarce. Even though it throws everyone for a loop. He kept it hidden all throughout season 1 & 2 events with Deaton's help via herbs, druid magic, etc.

The first to find out was Derek Hale, then Scott shortly after and slowly the rest of the sort of group. It's why Stiles was so good at helping Scott learn to be a werewolf, why he was so helpful to Malia early on, why he tried to warn Scott away from Allison and her family when he gained his affliction in the woods. It did cause a rift between himself and Scott, who said it was fine and tried to explain that it was okay because he was there more than anyone in the beginning - But Stiles doesn't really buy it. He still can feel the tension and the weight of the fact that he kept the secret from his best friend for so long.

The Nogitsune possession still happens just as it does in canon, but it takes a harder toll on Stiles' mental status. He still feels like there's a fragment of that thing in him, latched onto his soul that won't leave even though he was given a "clean bill of health" from everyone knowledgeable. He will come into game just before the trip to Mexico. He's struggling with the idea of staying an Alpha.

BORN WEREWOLF Super strength, speed, agility, reflexes, durability, healing, senses, pain absorption, and shapeshifting. As a born werewolf, Stiles has excellent control.

ALPHA Alpha werewolves specifically have the ability to turn others via bite or sometimes a scratch. Their eyes take on a red color when they're shifted. They also have the following specific aspects: additional visionary abilities, power theft via kills in their own pack, healing disruption, a roar that signals and shows dominance, healing power to be granted to others due to their 'spark', and are more powerful than Beta and Omegas. Also, most Alphas can do a full shift of some sort - Stiles cannot due to his mother's death that he's never gotten over & suppression/lack of use for years.
