That would be acceptable. Yes, they are. However, that is only on one side. Lily is still dating James from the time she is from. I am bound to a Lily as well; in my world I am engaged - in a sense - to a Lily. Lily is dating James in the blood-world. Surely that constitutes as history. And here, I have given what some my call a promise ring to Lilyblood, binding her to me. While it is not matrimony, it is a bond that is as binding as possible here at the compound. And yes, I am. Considering that you are a military man, I assume that "excessive" is quite more stringent than what it would be to someone who wasn't.
