Peter wanted to hit him. God, he just wanted to punch his friend, like he had never wanted to do before. Tears had sprung to his already water ears, slipping down his starkly pale cheeks.

"You're an idiot!" He snapped, squeezing down on Sirius' arm with one hand, before pulling the other close, and wrapping it tightly in the fabric of his cloak.

"You're not supposed to do this at all, you---you---" His voice died in his throat, a loud hiccup slipping out, as his tears began to fall at an increasing rate.

"G--goddamn you...we can't lo--lose you, Sirius."
