If you saw my earlier attempt at this, I am sorry. But the good news is that Trin is a mad genius and she FIXED IT FOR ME!!

So now you'll find the regular categories, and below them will be a summation of the comments from the old thread. I'll be leaving the old thread up on my journal for anyone who wants to check and see the exact wording of anything :)

Peter had arrived early with the excuse of 'helping Sirius' set up for the grand party he had in store for them and the other students, however it had mostly been an attempt to spend time with one of his best mates.

The Marauders had not been seeing much of each other as of late -- or so Peter assumed, a small part of him worried that it was just him that was left out -- and for once he had actively sought out remedying the situation which helped to calm his already tightly wound nerves and some of the worry he had concerning this and many other events.And so Peter found himself rather looking forward to what Sirius had set up, as he stood off near the wall and the table of food. He still felt uncomfortable as usual, however he was no longer expecting the worse.

	Sirius spotted Peter at the bar and strode over with a huge grin. He was already a few sheets to the wind, and the mad light in his eye proved it. He threw his arms around the smaller boy and planted a huge kiss on his forehead. "Pete! Mate! Brilliant spread. And a brilliant party, eh?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Peter let out a weak laugh, and nudged Sirius with his elbow. "Yeah, mate." He answered in his usual quiet voice, a slight smile breaking out across his features as he looked at the Black.

It seemed strained though, which it was. Peter worried easily, and with Sirius it was easy enough to let that take him over; especially after all that had happened lately.

"You've been drinking, eh, Padfoot?"

Sirius nodded broadly, still grinning.

"Course! It's a party, right? You had somethin yet Petey? Dotty makes one hell of an appletini!"

He tossed back the rest of his drink, having long since lost track of which one he was on. More than four, he knew, and probably less that seven. Probably. Not that it mattered, it was a party! And besides, he nedded two or three shots just to get to sleep, so it wasn't like his body couldn't handle it.

"C'mon, let's get you somthin! A drink and a bird, s'what you need!"

Peter only laughed nervously once more, his words coming out in that meek, stuttering tone that came when he was unsure of the situation around him. "A--appletini? I don't kn--" Peter broke off, swallowing and giving a slight shake of his head as he watched Sirius polish off the rest of his glass.

He raised his hand and gave the Black a slight pat on the back, brow creasing slightly.

"C--come on, I don't need any of those things. I--I can enjoy a party without, I mean..."

	"Relax Petey!" He weaved slightly, then clapped Pete on the shoulder. "S'a party! 'nd We're safe here!" He glanced suddenly around the room, whipping his eyes between James, Lily, and Remus. He frowned slightly, then shook his head. "We've got t'be safe here." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Peter started in something close to surprise when Sirius' had came into contact with his back, and reached out to steady his mate on his feet, as he followed his gaze around the room, from one of their friends to the next.

"Course we are, m--mate." Peter said, his voice cracking slightly. "Just, you know, hangovers are a right mess and it could put a damper on your Saturday!"

He was trying to reason with the other Wizard, trying to joke around the real reason for his concern and the shift in Sirius' playful demeanor. It was a stupid thing, and he knew they should have just come out and dealt properly with whatever was bothering Sirius, however that was one of the worse areas for Peter to work with.

Carefully he worked the cup from Sirius' hand and gave a slight smile. "How about some food then, eh?"

	"Food, yeah, why not. You did one hell of'a job with it. You always come through Pete." He reached out and ruffled Peters hair. "I don't think you know it, do you?" Peter chuckled nervously as he steered his friend to the food-landed tables that lined the walls of the room. He did bad with anything truly, from criticism to compliments and it always left him unsure as how to handle himself.

"Co--course, mate." He murmured, carefully taking the cup from Sirius, which he set on the table and instead pushed a small plate filled with food into the other students hands. "You're a great person too. Though I think you're a bit pissed, honestly..."

Peter smiled slightly, carefully patting Sirius on the shoulder.

"You did a wonderful job on the party too, you know that right? I think it's what e--everyone has needed..."
