I'm very open to plotting things. We love a good mix of comic and movie canon.
I do have to admit I ship Pyro and Charlie because they're two sides of the same coin, even after his turn towards the Brotherhood. Charlie'd understand why he did it. Its her experience that people can be absolutely monstrous. At the same time, it's not for her and she'd rather take on a protector role instead of a destructive one. She did the whole 'kill it with fire' thing and it's left her fairly well traumatized. My idea for them is they've known each other since they were pre-teens, with Charlie having arrived at the school at roughly the same time as him. The similarities in abilities helped form an instant bond, and while there was jealousy on Pyros part with Charlie being able to create fire, they learned to work together.
I also love the idea of them being the will-they-won't-they couple, having gotten together just before being separated during X2. I see this as something that absolutely fuels his anger towards humans even more, considering what he knows about Charlie's past. (He's also one of a very small handful of people she's willingly told about her past.)
She has her own anger and dislike towards powerless humans, but isn't the type to run off and join the Brotherhood. At the same time, she can't entirely fault Pyro for doing so. Nor can she judge. She destroyed the people that made her life a living hell.
