BIOGRAPHY Xander Logan was born to parents Mark and Maria Logan(nee: Jefferson) on a cold, stormy night in Nashville, TN. His dad was a factory worker, his mother a waitress. His parents were never meant to be. As he grew older he realized that. They fought constantly, bickered and battled in front of him, it even came to the point where it got physical. By age five a normal day for Xander was coming home to his father, drunk off his ass in his chair with some random woman. Why his mom put up with it, to this day he still didn't know. As he got older and older, the beatings to him stopped and his father started to focus in on his mother. Xander tried to stop him, on more than one occasion and he never could. He wasn't physically strong enough. He'd call the cops, his mother would lie to protect his deadbeat father. Xander just felt like he was in a hopeless situation, with no way out. He got good grades stayed out of trouble, helped around the house, all in an attempt to keep his parents from fighting. He figured if he was better, then maybe they would be too. Of course like in most relationships that don't work siblings were involved. Maria figured maybe that would make the family happier. She was wrong, dead wrong. If anything it made them fight even more. So now it was him and 6 younger siblings who looked up to him. That was too much even for him at a young age. He'd had to take t he daddy role since his own father wouldn't and he hated it. His father and him often came to blows over that, among other things.
By age sixteen Xander was the star point guard at his high school. Everyone knew him, or at least knew of him. His grades were still top notch. He just ignored it at home. By age sixteen he was used to it. He never had the fancy car, or the fancy clothes but he still had managed to make a name for himself. If friends wanted to come over he always made up some excuse. No one needed to know what his father was really like, what his mother was like. He loved her with all his heart and soul, but the way she wouldn't leave, it bothered him. He hated seeing her hurt. His whole life changed the summer before his Junior year. He had gotten accepted to a national basketball camp. The school was paying his way, so he went. Basketball was his scapegoat. He knew that. It was his way to a better life. While at camp he got to forget it all. He got to just be Xander Bell, high school student, basketball player, all around good guy. He called home every night though to check in on his mother and younger siblings. His mother sounded great. She said his dad was getting help. Going to meetings. Xander believed it, against his better judgment. Maybe when he got back things would be better. But he was wrong. The night he arrived home he was greeted by a police car and an ambulance. This time his father had taken it so far that his mother had broken ribs and a contusion on her forehead. He begged his mother to leave. That him and her could move to their own place, that everything could be better. And he actually thought she was going to try. However when she was released his mother went right back. As much as he wanted to help her, he couldn't stay To this day he regrets his next decision but at sixteen he felt he had no other choice. He got a full time job, saved up the money and legally emancipated himself from his parents. He moved out shortly after the school year started into his own apartment. And as tough as it was he managed to keep up with basketball, his job, and school. There were some hard times but he kept his important bills paid. His senior year he met a girl. He had never dated much up to this point. It just hadn't interested him. The two dated off and on for his senior year. And when he learned that he had gotten a scholarship to the University of Tennessee she was by his side, and just as happy for him as he was. This scholarship would change everything. It was his start to bettering everything. He could send money and help his brothers and sisters. It was selfish in a way to get out and leave them there but he felt it was in his own best interest. Besides his oldest brother had long since taken the ropes from him. He still talked to his mom too and she seemed excited for him as well. Everything was right on track. By the time he graduated he thought the worst was behind him. Of course, he was wrong.
Xander moved off to college and of course as most high school relationships do, his faded with the long distance. He still talked to her every once in a while, but for the most part they barely spoke. The first two years of his schooling went great. He had gotten a work study job for some extra money, was playing ball, and playing it well, so well in fact there was talk of him one day going Pro, and his grades were still on track. He joined a fraternity, he made friends, he got a chance to experience what his life was suppose to be like. He lost contact with pretty much everyone from home in this time. This was his new life, his new home. Until he got that call. Yet another time that would mold his life and future. It was the end of his sophomore year in college. He was staying with a buddy during the summer, get a job off campus to help out with those bills. Then that call came. His mother was once again in the hospital, this time in a coma. Beaten so badly, that teeth were knocked out. He rushed home as soon as he found out and went straight to the hospital. Of course his father was there, but they hadn't spoken since that fateful day when he moved out, 4 years ago. He ignored him as best he could and went straight to his mother's bedside. And he was there for the next two weeks as she battled for her life. The new semester was starting, but he couldn't leave. He called and got a leave from school. He knew that would kill his chance with basketball that year, and it killed him, but he couldn't leave his mother. She needed him more. With the little money he had still he had rented an apartment to stay at. He had worked out a month by month agreement with the landlord, and he got a job as a mechanic to help cover that. It was during this time that another life changing event happened. He ran into that ex from high school. Her and her son at the grocery store. One look at the boy and Xander knew it was his son. Turned out they all lived in the same apartment building. Then two months after he arrived, on a cold stormy day, much like the day he had been born, his mother's condition worsened. Her heart failed, and just like that she was gone. When she died, Xander felt a part of him go too. He couldn't help but feel it was partly his fault and his dad, smug as ever didn't even seem to care. It got so bad him and his father had actually gotten into a physical altercation at the hospital, landing them both in jail. His ex, even though she had little money bailed him out. As soon as he was out he went and had his last name changed. He wanted no ties to that man. In his eyes his father killed his mother, and he'd never forget that. He changed his last name to Jefferson, his mother's maiden name. He was going to go back to school. But at being gone so long, his scholarship had lapsed, he wasn't around when the scouts were. It all added up. His dreams fell through in that moment.
Now years later, his son almost ten, still works at that same garage, and still doesn't speak to the man that is his father. His relationship with his siblings for the most part is intact. In all that he's lost, he finds hope in his son. To him, his son really is his whole world, and one of the only reasons that it was alright he hadn't been able to go back to The University of Tennessee. Recently Xander has been looking at the local college though, thinking about possibly taking some night classes, to at least finish up his degree and with any luck find a job that he loves as much as he did basketball. Relationship wise is a story in itself.
Sienna Hansen had been one of the doctors working on his mother. There was something about her that he couldn't figure out but it compelled him to want to know more. He asked her out multiple times all with a small laugh to follow or just a flat out rejection. She'd said he was too young for her. That his mother was her patient he couldn't. But finally she did relent and the end result was him and her just really connecting. They dated for a year, he proposed to her almost expecting a no but when she said yes he was over the moon. They got married in March of 2017 and his life just felt better thanks to her being in it.</b>
